Hands down my favorite donut joint in Davis. Price is cheap and donuts are so good~ Staff is friendly and are patient with customers while choosing from an array of donuts. Highly recommend coming early, like before 8 am before all the good ones run out. My personal favorite is the maple bar, old fashioned, and simple glazed donut. Each donut ranges around $1-$1.50, which is pretty cheap for the quality. They have deals like buy 6 get one free and buy 10 get three free. I got the buy 6 get one free today and total cost was $7.05, what a deal for 7 donuts! In addition to donuts, they also have coffee and vietnamese sandwiches. Interior of the shop is a bit old, but the taste of donuts and service are top notch. Will definatly be coming here for early mornings! read more

I'm a regular at Pink Dozen, but when I heard that Fluffy Donuts was under new ownership, I thought I'd try it out. Plus, it was Veteran's Day and they were open! And offering free donuts to military personnel, which was a very nice touch! I'm very glad that I checked it out! First off, customer service here was great! The guy behind the counter was very warm and friendly and it was clear that he wanted my experience there to be positive. Secondly, the donuts were tasty - we tried a jelly donut (they also have lemon filled and Bavarian creme filled!), a crumb donut, a plain donut and a couple of rainbow sprinkles. Overall, not greasy and tasted fresh! Ended up being a little over $7 for 5 donuts. Hope they do well! read more

Im a donut freak. I love love love donuts and will drive long and far to find myself a good donut. I love it so much that I walked in at 6 am bought 24 donuts (okay maybe they weren't all for me...but the passion is still there). I've heard great things about this place and headed over here for a morning snack for me and some friends. The donuts were a little dry, but were still delicious. I do wish they had blueberry donuts, which were definitely my weakness. The parking here is totally doable as it is in UMall. The staff was very friendly and efficient. I suggest buying in dozens as they are cheaper (as is true for any donut place!). I saw they have several other menu items including banh mi (whaaa) but I have not tried it. Fluffy's sells sandwiches and a few other goodies in addition to their donuts. I've been here a few times and really appreciate their early operating hours, especially on weekends when I wasn't able to get my early breakfast fix in downtown Davis. The elderly frequent this place for morning coffee and chats, and students come in during finals week for a nice study spot as well. The shop owner is warm and friendly. He warns you about the credit card fee beforehand and suggests cash especially when you're only buying a few things so that it's more worth the price. I personally really like the sandwiches here. They're as simple as the ones your mom would pack for you for lunch (simple, fresh ingredients without all the extra jazz), but that's probably the reason why I like them. Super healthy! The owner makes it right in front of you too, so he asks if you want onions or not, etc. The interior is a bit tacky looking, but gives off a really carefree vibe. Next to the trashcans, there's a "Fluffy's Free Library", which is a small box of books you can borrow and read while you're enjoying your coffee. I don't believe any donut shops in Davis offer vegan options so I was so excited to see that Fluffy Donuts added some to their menu! My coworkers always pick up donuts for the office and it's such a bummer when I can't have any. They had powdered and frosted vegan donuts. I got two of each. Both were amazing. I don't think I could pick a favorite. I thought they were just going to be your basic cake donuts but they were different. They were light and crisp on the outside like a fried yeast donut but a little more dense and cakey in the middle like a cake donut. It was so good!! They add this or add that into their items. That isn't so with Fluffy Donuts. And I love that about them. My standard order at Fluffy Donuts is a regular chocolate covered doughnut and a cruller. I was surprised to find out that some people do not know what a cruller is. It's a French style doughnut. The outside of it looks sort of swirly. Everything about it would appear to be a standard doughnut except for it's swirly shape.. but when you eat it, it's much softer and 'egg-ier' tasting than everything else. If you haven't tried one, I'd suggest going to Fluffy's and getting one to try. Fluffy Donuts is on the affordable end of the price range. All their doughnut selections are around a dollar give or take a few cents. Even their larger donuts like the bear claw and cinnamon rolls aren't going to hurt the wallet. Fluffy's has a variety of cold drinks in a cold case. You can get a soda or a juice, but Fluffy's also offers some Asian drinks as well. And if you want coffee... they have that too! It's not the best coffee out there, but it will suffice. There's a Starbucks nearby if you really need a coffee fix. All the elements that make a great neighborhood doughnut shop are in Fluffy Donuts. You got great food, a great price, and the service is very friendly. I will be the first to admit that I'm not a fan of regular donuts. A friend bought some of their red velvet donuts on National Donut Day, which I tried, and was instantly hooked. There's almost a magnetic force pulling and urging me in whenever I pass by this place, but my inner health nut has so far been successful in thwarting my subconscious attempts to get at dem donuts. It's pretty frustrating. But sometimes it's just so hard to resist, especially when all my willpower seems diminished by the struggles of daily life, and yunno sometimes a girl just REALLY needs dem donuts. So I caved in, and stopped by the other day with my boyfriend who was craving a jelly filled donut, and we grabbed a couple of raspberry filled glazed donuts and an old fashioned one as well. It was SO yummy. This place really does live up to its name because dem donuts were fluffy and amazaaang. I almost wanted to echo the words of Agnes from Despicable Me: IT'S SO FLUFFAY I'M GONNA DIEEEE. But forreal though you could tell their stuff is fresh. Well they are going to find the nearest spot to get a caffeine fix that's what! It was like 8 am on a Sunday morning when we rolled up on Fluffy.. and let me tell you - Fluffy is no slouch in the donut or coffee department... this place has like 15 different types.. at least of donut and like 6 different roasts and flavors of coffee. The guy behind the counter was super nice.. answered our questions and we got our caffiene and sugar fix very fast. This place is a little mom and pop's shop which is awesome because I really dislike supporting Starbucks.. for numerous reasons but #1 being it puts the small business owner out of business.. #2.. I hate paying $3.50 for a cup of joe. This place was empty except for one other person that morning.. which is awesome because I am not a morning person and I don't want to hear anything but the athan before 11am. The price for a couple cups of bottomless joe and two sugar rushes a piece for four people all for under $13.. try that at Starbuck's people.. its impossible.
