Grabbed a dozen assorted for my work crew on a Thursday morning. Two gentlemen behind the counter fulfilling orders, and a few folks ahead of and behind me in line. Parking lot shared with Baskin Robbins. I let the shop owner choose the variety of donuts to include in my box, and I ended up with plain sugar, plain glazed, chocolate, maple bar, cinnamon, apple fritter, chocolate braid/twist...all great! Next time I might try the cream filled, jelly, cake, or donut holes! Happy to support local small AAPI businesses, while satisfying sweet tooths (sweet teeth?) at the same time. read more

Excellent donuts. Nice and fresh twists and rounds. Small donut shop with a few tables and chairs inside. Small, shared parking lot.

Saw the Boston Cream Pie donut on the menu and had to stop here! It was well worth the detour. We also tried some of the usual suspects; crueller, old fashioned, apple fritter. The prices were really good and service was fast. The Boston Cream Pie was perfect! I absolutely recommend it. The other donuts were a bit oily, one we actually had to throw away it was so oily but I would still stop here again for the BCP any day! read more

Really good donuts, the staff is friendly and the place looks clean. My only disappointment was that when I went the parking lot was closed because they were painting, so the access was a little bit difficult. But their donuts are very good, good quality. read more

Having tried a few other donut shops, I still enjoy Donut Star donuts. They are always fresh and soft. We really like their croissants as they are huge and also tasty. The staff are always friendly and move the line along quickly. It is a small shop with a few tables to eat there. We usually see a group chatting and enjoying a coffee and sweet. read more

Words can't really properly capture how much I love this donut shop. I remember coming here my first time soon after moving to Woodland and the owner threw in a free old fashioned donut because I had never tried one before. I'll always appreciate that. I ate that donut after 2 days and it was still so fluffy and good~ I've never been disappointed with any of their donuts. To me, they are airy and soft- not heavy at all. My SO loves their donut holes and the raspberry filled donuts. The old-fashioned is great, as well as the regular chocolate sprinkle donuts! Donut Star is exactly what a local donut place should be. The donuts are reasonably priced, non-pretentious, and delicious. Donut Star's donuts aren't anything fancy. So often the fancier things get, the worse they taste. The donuts here are pure joy. The fried donuts are fluffy and easy to eat. The sprinkle donuts have that perfect look to them. It's totally worth going to Donut Star and picking up a dozen so you can share with the family or workplace. A dozen standard donuts will run about nine bucks and a mix of bars and regular donuts is about twelve. The donuts come in the typical pink donut boxes for that nostalgia feel when you take them out of the shop. Though it's a little older of a building, I found the inside of Donut Star to be clean and well kept. The owners do a great job of making sure the shop is a respectable place to go. What a find on our overnight stay - delicious classic donuts. The yeast donuts were so soft and delicious! My favorite were the old fashioned donuts - just a traditional donut with the perfect amount of glaze. Though the yeast with a cinnamon crunch weren't far behind! Looking for a classic donut? This is the place. Located in a small, corner parking lot near Baskin Robbins, is this old-fashioned donut shop. It'll remind you of the hole-in-the-wall donut shop from your childhood. The building is nothing fancy, but they have all the typical donuts you could want: raised, cake, filled, sprinkles, apple fritters, all the usual donut culprits. We came on a Sunday mid-morning, and there was definitely available parking. Masks are required in this COVID-era. They have hand sanitizer available at the counter. It was easy and smooth to order our donuts, pay, and leave quickly. They also have a refrigerator with cold drinks. We got a dozen donuts, which were put into a classic pink box. The only sprinkles donuts available when we arrived were cake donuts, so we got a couple of those, a chocolate raised donut, and several maple bars, which are our favorite. I was a bit disappointed that the maple glaze seemed thin and sparing on some of the maple bars, but they were otherwise quite delicious! Our server taped the box closed, which made me feel less concerned that I'd drop them and lose them or, worse, eat them all on the drive home. We were very satisfied with these donuts and will definitely be back. Side note: they freeze well (individually wrapped in wax paper) and can be thawed at room temperature to enjoy later. read more

I think wherever you go, you can always find a good donut. You can't really go wrong with a donut unless it's incredibly stale. I've had donuts from this place many times as my coworkers have brought them for us. It wasn't until I craved donuts on a busy day I decided to go myself. Other yelpers recommended the maple bar the most so I definitely had to try that. Attached is the photo of the other assortments included. The donuts were still warm! It was 10am when I bought them after all! The maple bar was HEAVENLY. Sweet and fluffy. I tried a plain sugar as well. I was so happy. The price was incredibly affordable too. Get there early. They usually sell out before 12:00pm. They'll close whenever they run out of donuts. When you get there early, it's hard to decide what you want. I love their variety. I don't even really like donuts that much, but Donut Star's are delicious! They're fresh, soft, fluffy, and just so yummy. The customer service is good, too. They're always nice and polite. The only thing I dislike is the 50 cent charge for using credit, but lots of donut places only take cash, so I'm just glad they do take the plastic. read more
