I just had my review of this "restaurant " removed by Yelp because I accidentally posted it to another Flower Child location. I removed that review and posted it to the proper location (Desert Ridge.) I am MAD now. How dare the company have my review removed from the proper location! I have spent THOUSANDS at this Flower Child since they opened! AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS! This store is the MOST INCONSISTENT food quality and service! Huge lines with only one of two registers open! Complete lack of management! Food quality is amazing when it's good but at least 20 percent of the time it is HORRIBLE! Been here plenty of times and to multiple locations and I am always happy with my meals! It's nice to have healthy vegetarian options nearby. I've had many different things on the menu, but usually go for the Mother Earth bowl with tofu. This last time I got a butternut squash soup with a side of broccoli. It was really good! Usually butternut squash soup is puréed but this one was different, I liked it! The gluten free Mac n cheese is always good too! Can't go wrong here! read more

Wow. First time eating here today. Ordered the Mother Earth bowl with chicken. Everything tasted so fresh and made well. It tasted like it was made with love, which I think is mighty difficult to achieve. You could taste all of the ingredients separately, but together they were all better. Even the chicken was seasoned well. My expectations were exceeded. And then I ordered the lemon olive oil (cup)cake, and I could eat whatever they had made for the day. Give them all to me. It was surprising to me that the bowl was over 700 calories (with chicken) but so worth it. No pictures. It went fast. read more

Suggested by my GF who likes this place. Pretty negative experience for me and I won't be going back. While it is annoying they don't have a soda fountain machine, I'm okay with lemonade, no big deal. The lemonade however is $4, and tastes like crap. Not sure what they're sweetening it with, but it's gross. Despite this, I was still staying positive....I was sure this Flying Avacado wrap was gonna be good. Nope sorry, that wasn't "gross", but had no flavor, and basically no meat, and I was still hungry when I left. The staff is very helpful at the register, don't be afraid to ask questions. I had the chopped veggie salad and added steak. Dressing was very light and did not overpower the veggies. Just gave it a little zing. The steak was flavorful and cooked perfectly. Great texture and nice that it was cut thin already, so you only need a for to eat this salad. All the veggies were crisp and the avocado added a creamy texture. I enjoy coming here because it is consistent in every location. read more

I used to love this location because I loved Desert Ridge Market Place.However, last time I was there, I ordered my usual salmon entree with mashed potatoes and macaroni and cheese, the salmon was plain, the mashed potatoes were too salty and the macaroni and cheese was disappointing. The food items that didn't change was the lemon cup cakes and gf chocolate cookies. I think Flower Child changed chef's, it's not the same I have been eating Flowers Child for eight years and I also been to most of locations. It is sad that I have to find another location because this is my favorite location and favorite restaurant for lunch and dinner. I might come maybe one or two times. read more

My first time here at any of these named restaurants and I was pleasantly surprised with the ambience and the food. We had a couple share dishes, one of them was the gluten-free macaroni and cheese we really enjoyed. We also had the shrimp teriyaki, It had great flavor the vegetables were crunchy and it was served over brown rice. I did think it was a bit pricey for a lunchtime size but the quality was great. I do have to say that the mask mandate in the state has been lifted but there are just some people that are really rude about enforcing it, it should be personal choice. I fo one have a health issue, it is extremely difficult to wear one. 99 % My experience was great but you got to have that 1%, that one person who really doesn't like his job or is having a bad day, not sure what the deal was with him but hopefully he'll be better tomorrow. Ordered takeout online today at 3 and it took 25 minutes for a steak bowl with mac & cheese with sweet potato fries. (they had a delicious dipping sauce with the fries, like a dill flavored ranch that i enjoyed). The steak was very well done, burnt and dry tasting. And the fries were cold. I came here for a working lunch after having an appointment nearby. The wait was out the door and down the sidewalk! However the line moved quick and efficiently. I was worried about bringing my husband here as he is usually more of a hearty eater. We waited in a short line that moved quickly. Ordered the Italian salad for him and the Brussels and Squash salad for me. Also grabbed an olive oil lemon cake. EVERYTHING was wonderful! The way they designate a table for you was fabulous but the food was the best part. And my husband? Said it was one of the best salads he has had since we moved to Phoenix! And he didn't even add a protein to be able to say this! You can be sure we will be back.... I will have to stick with my original two stars. Today I decided to try One more time since I was in the area after teaching adaptive sports to kiddos to get food to go. There were five pieces of meat for $20. Though they cooked it to my liking, based on the product photo and what the meal is supposed to look like, mine did not look like that. I got very little meat compared to what the photo shows and what I usually get if I were in person. Unfortunately, flower child has consistently showed me their inconsistency and that is a huge turn off for me. When I am paying for such expensive food to eat well and to live a healthy lifestyle (on a budget), it is expected to get what you are promoting. Especially for the price. I will be deleting the app off my phone and will only go here if a friend besides to. I did an order for pick up this time to defeat the delivery issues yet I still am disappointed in the food portions for the price. I stopped by flower child on my way to a meeting in Scottsdale tonight & the service was quick and kind, but mine and my parties food came out luke warm, and all of our Mac and cheese cold. I love flower child and I eat it at least once a week, take business meetings here, and rave about it to all of my friends. My cousin and I shared the toasted -- It had avocado and a poached egg on it. I liked it. She was surprised that it wasn't warm. The egg was cold. I'd never had anything like that and it looked and tasted just fine to me. It was better than my meal. I'm a learning opportunity for the staff. I very much wanted to eat the Mother Earth entree. But I have a severe intolerance to Garlic. It seems the majority of the food is flavored with garlic. I ordered the Avocado Cesar Salad with Avocado dressing on the side. They said they would make me unseasoned chicken, but it would take 25 minutes. Didn't sound very appetizing. The salad had several chunks of avocados, romaine lettuce with parmesan and bread crumbs on it. I liked the bread crumbs more than the traditional croutons. There was an over abundance of staff. Everyone looked happy and helpful. Inside was noisy. It was difficult to hear the cashier. I had the Chocolate Chip cookie for dessert. I got a 2nd one to go, thinking to share it, but I ate it too. My cousin got the Lemon Cake. I had a bite. It was very moist, with only a hint of lemon, not very sweet either. Was surprised that the utensils were available for everyone to touch. I'm a visitor from California. It surprised me how few people wore masks. The employees did, but not the patrons. My cousin later mentioned that I should have ordered from the kid's menu. I don't know if that was an option. Since I couldn't eat the majority of the food, I wish the cashier had mentioned food from the kid's menu. Garlic isn't put in the mac and cheese, right? I took photos of my salad, the cookie, and the flower on the table. Liked the fresh flowers. The salad was tasty, just not very filling. This place is so delicious and has so many great options for gluten free, vegan, vegetarian and paleo. We shared some delicious plant based meals with tofu and veggies. The brussel sprouts and butternut squash sides were absolutely delicious! Everything was really fresh and flavorful. I would be happy to eat there anytime. I really appreciate the combinations they have with each side as it makes it super flavorful. Inside is really cute and is decorated with fun paintings on the wall. You wait in line and order and pay. Then someone puts your number on a table. Your food is delivered to you. My only complaint is that they were out of silverware and we had to use some plastic forks. I also feel like they should have glasses that can be washed for the water glasses instead of paper ones. I was hoping this was similar to digg in or sweet greens or similar style from nyc but it was kind of just a sad expensive dish. Brussels were soggy and flavored in a familiar taste but not the same taste. It's like it tried to be something it wasn't and didn't achieve it. As for the sweet potatoes, well that's kinda hard to mess up. They were cooked to the right temperature. as for the salmon, maybe they just added pepper? No idea. I really like Flower child, even though I'm giving them a 3 for this review. I went with my 11 month old yesterday for lunch. I look at ingredients in all the foods I give her and want her to have plenty of nutrients and good for the body foods. There are few restaurants I can take her now because options are so limited. My biggest concern is sodium, just in general. I struggle with high blood pressure that is only controlled when I limit salt and take meds. The ingredients at Flower Child are superb and food is delicious but it's incredibly salty. I got my baby the kids meal yesterday consisting of chicken, smashed potatoes, and quinoa/corn blend. She loved it but it was so salty that I honestly felt bad giving it to her but still did because she loved it. Next time I'll try to see if we can cut back on the salt in our orders. Incredibly good, flavorful food! Loved this casual chic easy lunch space. Bright & airy with nice high ceilings. I ordered a plate where I chose two options: Spicy eggplant with cashew & tumeric cauliflower. Next, I added chicken. Chicken was moist & tender- dry chicken is not served here. The eggplant and cauliflower were flavor packed! Spicy with plenty of heat, I couldn't get enough of it. Love! Feels healthy, not overly oily. I left here feeling content and happy.
