I came here for a working lunch after having an appointment nearby. The wait was out the door and down the sidewalk! However the line moved quick and efficiently. I was worried about bringing my husband here as he is usually more of a hearty eater. We waited in a short line that moved quickly. Ordered the Italian salad for him and the Brussels and Squash salad for me. Also grabbed an olive oil lemon cake. EVERYTHING was wonderful! We had a couple share dishes, one of them was the gluten-free macaroni and cheese we really enjoyed. We also had the shrimp teriyaki, It had great flavor the vegetables were crunchy and it was served over brown rice. I did think it was a bit pricey for a lunchtime size but the quality was great. I do have to say that the mask mandate in the state has been lifted but there are just some people that are really rude about enforcing it, it should be personal choice. I fo one have a health issue, it is extremely difficult to wear one. 99 % My experience was great but you got to have that 1%, that one person who really doesn't like his job or is having a bad day, not sure what the deal was with him but hopefully he'll be better tomorrow. I will have to stick with my original two stars. Today I decided to try One more time since I was in the area after teaching adaptive sports to kiddos to get food to go. There were five pieces of meat for $20. Though they cooked it to my liking, based on the product photo and what the meal is supposed to look like, mine did not look like that. I got very little meat compared to what the photo shows and what I usually get if I were in person. Unfortunately, flower child has consistently showed me their inconsistency and that is a huge turn off for me. When I am paying for such expensive food to eat well and to live a healthy lifestyle (on a budget), it is expected to get what you are promoting. Especially for the price. I will be deleting the app off my phone and will only go here if a friend besides to. I did an order for pick up this time to defeat the delivery issues yet I still am disappointed in the food portions for the price. The restaurant is immaculate. What more could a restaurant patron ask for? We are going back for a second visit to Flower Child, this week. Prices are on the high side, but fairly typical, unfortunately, of restaurant prices, today. Several entrees seemed to be overly saturated in salt. I stopped by flower child on my way to a meeting in Scottsdale tonight & the service was quick and kind, but mine and my parties food came out luke warm, and all of our Mac and cheese cold. I ordered the steak and asparagus and Mac and cheese, which is must for dinner here. I love flower child and I eat it at least once a week, take business meetings here, and rave about it to all of my friends. It can be frustrating to pay $22 for a meal and drink and have it come out cold. I would have asked them to replace it but we did not have time before our meeting. My cousin and I shared the toasted -- It had avocado and a poached egg on it. I liked it. She was surprised that it wasn't warm. The egg was cold. The salad had several chunks of avocados, romaine lettuce with parmesan and bread crumbs on it. I liked the bread crumbs more than the traditional croutons. There was an over abundance of staff. Everyone looked happy and helpful. Inside was noisy. It was difficult to hear the cashier. I had the Chocolate Chip cookie for dessert. I got a 2nd one to go, thinking to share it, but I ate it too. My cousin got the Lemon Cake. I had a bite. It was very moist, with only a hint of lemon, not very sweet either. Was surprised that the utensils were available for everyone to touch. I'm a visitor from California. It surprised me how few people wore masks. The employees did, but not the patrons. My cousin later mentioned that I should have ordered from the kid's menu. I don't know if that was an option. Since I couldn't eat the majority of the food, I wish the cashier had mentioned food from the kid's menu. Garlic isn't put in the mac and cheese, right? This place is so delicious and has so many great options for gluten free, vegan, vegetarian and paleo. We shared some delicious plant based meals with tofu and veggies. The brussel sprouts and butternut squash sides were absolutely delicious! Everything was really fresh and flavorful. I would be happy to eat there anytime. I really appreciate the combinations they have with each side as it makes it super flavorful. Inside is really cute and is decorated with fun paintings on the wall. You wait in line and order and pay. Then someone puts your number on a table. Your food is delivered to you. My only complaint is that they were out of silverware and we had to use some plastic forks. I also feel like they should have glasses that can be washed for the water glasses instead of paper ones. Pre-ordered from here in between my drives to work. I had the Salmon with sweet potato and Brussel sprouts. I can't say I enjoyed it much of at all. I was hoping this was similar to digg in or sweet greens or similar style from nyc but it was kind of just a sad expensive dish. Brussels were soggy and flavored in a familiar taste but not the same taste. It's like it tried to be something it wasn't and didn't achieve it. As for the sweet potatoes, well that's kinda hard to mess up. They were cooked to the right temperature. as for the salmon, maybe they just added pepper? No idea.
