The person asked for a snapshot of the problem. I sent it and (honestly) said I didn't remember if there were crack that large before. A minute later Jayk's sent me a photo of the pre-work sink. Yep... there were the cracks. I apologized profusely and they were cool about it. Apparently the old ugly faucet was all I could notice. The city of Raleigh refuses to check their water meter or replace it without an invoice from a plumber. Our water bill was higher than usual the last few months. I did a toilet leak test and found no leaks. Nothing else on the property showed a leak. I called the water department and they were less than helpful. Despite our bill going DOWN after turning ON our sprinkler system, they insisted there was a leak. Matthew's Plumbing sent two guys out who listened to the story, checked the meter as I did, checked the crawl space (no leaks) and listened to me complain about the water department. I was expecting to pay $200+, instead they only charged me $75. These people are honest. I was upset enough that I would have paid the $200 or more had they asked me to do so. Today's visit is why I'll keep doing business with them.
