The city of Raleigh refuses to check their water meter or replace it without an invoice from a plumber. Our water bill was higher than usual the last few months. I did a toilet leak test and found no leaks. Nothing else on the property showed a leak. I called the water department and they were less than helpful. Despite our bill going DOWN after turning ON our sprinkler system, they insisted there was a leak. Matthew's Plumbing sent two guys out who listened to the story, checked the meter as I did, checked the crawl space (no leaks) and listened to me complain about the water department. I was expecting to pay $200+, instead they only charged me $75. These people are honest. I was upset enough that I would have paid the $200 or more had they asked me to do so. Today's visit is why I'll keep doing business with them.

They could have come the next day but I couldn't get out of my work commitment. It was easy to schedule the appointment and I was given a two hour time frame of when to expect the crew. They even called 15 minutes or so before they arrived. Once they got here I showed them the water pressure regulator with the small drip and they knew just what to do. My builder did the plumbing line wrong which this company discovered by doing a test first so knew that they had to do this work differently. Service was professional and friendly and they even cleaned up some water that dripped. The price was much lower than I expected as well. Wake Forest Plumbing will be the first place I call when I need plumbing work in the future.

They didn't give free quotes but if you use them then the inspection fee becomes part of the final price ( at least that's how it was 2 years ago ). They were professional reasonable and they did a great job. I thought they were going to be my plumbing company for life!!!. I was wrong. About a month ago I had a big issue with my water heater so I called them for 3 days in a row and I left messages that they never returned. I had to use someone else. This week I had another issue so I decided to give them another chance. I've been trying to contact them for 2 days with no success, they are still no calling me back. So my advice is: call them and if they don't answer just move on.

Hired Chris to move our old water heater to a tankless and it was a disaster from the beginning, I…read morehired Chris to do the work, he sent 2 of his employees or subs to do the work. They didn't empty the something with the old water heater and that ended up flowing through our ceiling. Chris did the right thing and after many iterations was fixed. Just had our tankless serviced by a different firm and was told several issues should be addressed. First, The black gas line outside of the house going to the water heater needed to be painted to stop /slow corrosion, that wasn't done. The gas line going to the water heater in the crawl space is all incorrect and will require 4-6 hours worth of work to fix. I would have hoped Chris would have been onsite to oversee the job. He was not and I would guess he did not inspect the installation after being told it was completed. Just be warned.

He installed the sink and went on his way. The charges were very reasonable for the work. And that's when I became a total idiot... I noticed cracks in the sink's bowl. I called Jayk's. The person asked for a snapshot of the problem. I sent it and (honestly) said I didn't remember if there were crack that large before. A minute later Jayk's sent me a photo of the pre-work sink. Yep... there were the cracks. I apologized profusely and they were cool about it. Apparently the old ugly faucet was all I could notice. So...yeah...I'm a dummy who has become too used to contractors creating as many problems as they fixed. Not Jayk's though - they're great.
