A small looking place from the outside that opens up into this light airy place with seating inside. Overall sound was calm enough that you could work or have a conversation without yelling. Service is counter service where you order and pick up your drink and they bring your food to the table. After you are done you bus your own table. I am not a biscuit fan at all, i was coming because they had pancakes and this is the first morning i did not need to be in the office at 630am, i started to looking at the reviews on yelp while waiting in line and decided to give it a shot. I want to order 1000 of them and take them home with me. The outside has a beautiful texture and amazing crunch followed by a soft inside that holds the butter and jam nicely together without falling apart. After eating one i did not have that feeling of dense food sitting in my stomach. In addition to the bisuit i had a side order of potato and they were fried to perfection giving a crunchy outside snd soft center, the crem fresh served with it added to the depth of flavors. So happy that i was able to try this place and will make this a regular stop when im back in asheville. There is outdoor seating!. I had the biscuit with butter and jam. The biscuit is huge , homemade and flaky on the outside and soft on the inside. It was served warm. Based on the number of positive reviews, I bookmarked this place and made it a point to stop by. I am glad I did because the reviews are well deserved. I don't think I have ever had a breakfast sandwich on a biscuit that tasted this good. The biscuit itself was excellent, and the whole sandwich really stood out. The guy taking my order was very nice. It was a slow morning, so there was plenty of seating both inside and outside. Overall, the place had a relaxed, chill vibe. I could easily see myself hanging out for a while, catching up on work while drinking coffee. Wow!! We stopped in because I couldn't believe there were barely any bad reviews of this place - and I needed to see what this was about. This place is five stars and more. First, our wait wasn't that long on a Saturday morning at 10. It took about twenty minutes and we got it to go. The chicken biscuit my husband ordered was delicious. The chicken perfectly moist and the breading was so crispy. My egg sandwich was good, although I do wish the egg wasn't scrambled. The potatoes and aioli were out of this world! I went with the sausage egg and cheese biscuit, and my wife got the yogurt bowl. We decided last minute to share the fried chicken biscuit, mainly because we both wanted to try the fried chicken, and we'd heard the biscuits alone were worth the visit, so we preemptively decided we'd deconstruct the chicken biscuit and eat it in pieces. The country sausage was awesome, the souffléd egg was a nice touch, and I think the cheese on my biscuit might have been a white American? It went great with the sausage and egg. The fried chicken was super well seasoned, and very juicy. I also got a cold brew and my wife got what she said was the best chai latte she'd ever had. If I had one complaint--and it's really not one--it's that the biscuit is too much for the contents within. I say it's not a complaint because it's a simple fix--you just pull off one of the biscuit halves and use that for dipping in jam. We'll definitely be back here. 10/10 experience. read more

I was very excited to try this place due to overwhelming positive review so perhaps I had high expectations. The ambiance of the restaurant was fantastic. Love the natural light coming through the windows. I ordered breakfast plate with country ham as protein. The service was just right. No frill or fancy but decent speed and service. What I got was ham that was so salty I couldn't eat after two bites and potatoes were same. I'm assuming they just rolled those potatoes in a bed of salt and serve it. I say this with no exaggeration, this was THE best biscuit I've ever eaten. So good that I returned the very next morning for a second helping. So good, and so large, that when I was unable to finish off my breakfast sandwich I set the remaining fillings aside and devoured the biscuit. I find most biscuits tend to be somewhat dense and dry. Not these! Slightly salted and crunchy on the outside (even on the bottom) and soft, fluffy yet with that still bread-ish chew in the middle. All in all, golden pillows of flavor. Flour is located in the S & W Market (for now!) and due to limited space serves only coffee and a menu of five items. But that's OK because three of these items are highlighted by....did I mention that the biscuits are really, really good! Just order one of the two breakfast sandwiches (by the way, the thick, smoke-flavored bacon was delicious) or the biscuit with strawberry jam and butter. And even better news, by the time most of you read this review Flour will have moved a couple blocks away to a new location on Wall Street. First off, this place is located in a food hall that was originally built for that purpose in 1929, so cool! The menu is limited, but incredible. I love how the original large cafeteria space now hosts five small food vendors. Flour is the only one open in the morning, so all the seating is available for their patrons. We stayed overnight in Asheville on the way home from KY and decided to give Flour a try and my bestie and I were not disappointed to say the least!
