Timeline Arcade is a retro arcade in downtown York. Parking depends on the time of day with options…read moreon both the street and local garages, but don't be surprised if you have to walk a few blocks. Timeline is like most current retro arcades, you pay X amount per hour for unlimited plays, and you pay when entering. The entry fee for an hour is very reasonable. The arcade is reasonably large and is spread across two rooms. Selection includes retro arcade machines, pinball machines, consoles, and other gaming items. Timeline does get newer Stern pinball machines like JAWS and Star Wars: Fall of the Empire, on top of a handful of older machines like Spy Hunter and White Water. The selection of general arcade machines is good, with machines like Spy Hunter, Coors Light Bowling, Rampage World Tour, and Revolution X catching my interest. Several TV's and couches are available for console gaming. Timeline has some problems however. They need to more clearly define the BYOB policy in its public facing information. From experience, BYOB here means "mancan/tallboy" sized drinks IE larger cans. The bigger issue is the machine maintenance problems which have gotten worse over time. I've run into several issues with machines not working, and during my last visit a bunch in the back room were out of order. Some of the machines at Timeline are clearly B or C grade machines, and simply do not play as better examples would. Is Timeline still worth a visit? Yes. It remains one of the better retro arcades in Pennsylvania, but there are better out there including in surrounding states like New Jersey.

There's a great set of old sofas and chairs in the back, with retro consoles hooked up to those huge televisions like your grandparents had... I could have played those if they had any games that had appealed, but my first console was a n64 and they didn't have one of those. No nostalgia for me. Jeremy found the place overly loud so we left before our time ran out. There was a saint Patrick's Day parade going on right out front, since the arcade is on Yorks main Street. I suppose our other friends enjoyed themselves, but I didn't see them play any game for longer than 5 minutes. I think we're officially too old.

I had seen the store front before and was curious. When I went in I met Kim Carl the owner. She showed me around and talked about the services they provide. I signed up for golf lessons to give it a try. Fast forward to the end of April 2026, the difference in my golf game and knowledge is like night and day. Coach Kim did an outstanding job helping me gain the balance and technique needed to up my game. The feedback the golf simulators gave was essential in my improvement. The use of the swing data went far in showing me what needed to change. I have since joined as a member, spend several hours a week on the simulators, and continue to improve. The proof is when I am on a course and hit them long and straight where before I spent most of my time looking in the bushes for my ball. Coach Kim and her staff's expertise are top notch. A Perfect Night with the Lancaster Stormers at Penn Medicine Park…read more Last night's trip to see the Lancaster Stormers was everything you want in a summer evening--great baseball, friendly people, and unbeatable value. We sat in the second row behind home plate for only $18, and I mean right there--close enough to hear every pitch and feel the energy of the game. It was like stepping back in time to when baseball was pure, fun, and affordable. Penn Medicine Park, formerly Clipper Magazine Stadium, is a gem. Clean, welcoming, and filled with fans who love the game. The Stormers play hard, the crowd gets into it, and there's a real sense of community throughout the ballpark. You're not just watching baseball--you're part of it. One unexpected highlight? The house specialty drink: White Birch. It comes in a 12-ounce can and is a magical little elixir--5% alcohol, but smooth and sweet like an old-school birch beer. It's the kind of drink that sneaks up on you in the best way, and it fits the whole ballpark vibe perfectly. Cold, nostalgic, and a little bit of fun in every sip. If you've never been, grab a ticket, grab a White Birch, and get ready for a night of baseball done right. I'll definitely be back.

First Time Experience at "What The Food Trucks" in York, PA. Over 40 Food Trucks, a Beer & Wine…read moreGarden (Yes you can walk around freely in the park with your alcoholic beverages), plus tons of Local Vendors! *& Yes it's FREE Admission! Located in Penn Park, parking may be tough to find but maps are constantly being posted to show where free parking is available throughout the city (don't quote me on it but I'm pretty sure free parking in York is always available on Sunday's). I was able to park in a lot very close by but if for some reason you can't find either street/lot parking, a free shuttle runs during the entire duration of the festival and drops you off right where the magic happens! The Food Trucks were pretty much endless and were serving everything I could think of! The Prices were excellent. Nothing was really over $10. Some of the trucks were more pricey, but they weren't as popular. Water and sodas were pretty much $1 each throughout the festival and beer/wine were also inexpensive. I would suggest bringing a cooler for sodas and waters to save $ and stay hydrated. There's a large crowd packed into the park and it gets hot. Also tons of people brought tables, chairs, even tents were being set up! Bring a towel or a chair if you want to sit, plenty of space on the grass for everyone. It was crowded and got more packed as the day went on, but lines moved really quick. Even at the most popular food stands, I didn't wait for than 15 minutes to be served. Because they have so many vendors, the lines weren't crazy long. They have live bands playing throughout the festival. They also have local vendors selling everything from crafts, to candles, even CBD products! There's also a tiny water park area & large playground to keep children occupied. I felt extremely safe & secure during my time here. There were tons of security guards & police officers patrolling the park. Sometimes people can get unruly when alcohol is involved, but not here. Everything was well under control. The Food was of course the highlight for me! I loved trying all the different culinary masterpieces put out by the Trucks. My favorite food was the Chicken & Waffle Sandwich from "Waffle Works" and I definitely recommend getting it! My favorite drink was the Lavender Lemonade from "Lucky Penny Burger". My least favorite truck had to be "Crossroads" because they were overpriced and charging tax which barely any other truck did. I also felt the food there was subpar, my fried green tomatoes were almost inedible. Overall I was incredibly satisfied with all of the food choices. Being from out of state, I'm glad I tried it. On Long Island, our food truck festivals consist of 10 trucks tops. This festival had it all! I hope to come back next summer during one of my trips to Pennsylvania.
