First time here today!! I love that they have a variety of different treatments for a pedicure! I had gone with the European pedicure. I had a nice girl Sarah who had done my pedicure and she did a phenomenal job! After she had me sit down so my toes could dry. A nice man had came up and given me a back massage which is really nice. My only complaint is that everything is a bit pricy but what you're paying for is absolutely worth it. I would highly recommend coming here! read more

Had 3 appointments today at 12 15..... my 91 year old grandmother, my daughter and I........ after 25 minutes still we're not taken for our appointments. Not to mention the staff was beyond rude. Floris is very clean and nicely done up. The staff takes care of you nicely and my nail polish has lasted 2 weeks plus- without chipping. However, I felt the 'regular' pedi's don't get a thorough heel scrub and my nails weren't buffed or filed to smooth the edges. Although 'regular' is the cheapest pedi in the store-it is still pretty expensive compared to other pedi's in the market and I expected a better job considering the price. Also, another put-off was the upfront DEMAND for a 20% cash-only tip. The staff asked for it right after she sat me down for my nail polish to dry and again when I was ready to go. I thought it was up to me to decide how much I wanted to tip but they seemed a bit push-over.. the experience left a bad taste... I'd rather they write it in the display card so u know what total you will be paying before getting started... read more

Horrible service! I went for a gel change and pedicure. When I went to sit in my pedicure chair the floor was soaked, I slipped, no one cares. The chair was soaked as well. I asked for a towel but no one would answer me. I noticed a stack and helped myself, the tech who was doing my service, Ben, acted annoyed that I hadn't sat down and stared with no offer help again. My service starts, what pedicure I'm getting I can't tell you because I wasn't offered any options. He first wrapped my nails to soak my current gel mani. He spilled on my clothes, and barely managed to wrap my nails it was more a wet mess of foil scrunched on each finger. The pedicure was not much better, when trying to trim my cuticles he nearly ripped my pinky toe off. I pulled away several times and had to get the manager to explain my toe does not bend that way, after than he spoke in an argumentative tone to his coworker. He half assed the rest of my pedicure said he was afraid to touch me and seemed generally angry that I was unhappy with being hurt and dared call him out to the manager. He did not finish trimming my cuticles and did a horrible job painting my nails. The service was probably 30 minutes with at least half of it the time the manager spent talking to him and his likely complaining about me to hide coworker. Not only was I unhappy and uncomfortable those around me clearly appalled at the treatment and total lack of response. If Ben was unable to finish my service someone should have stepped in for him. After that he led me to the manicure chair, where I sat down and waiting for someone to do my nails, I was told it would be him but he had taken a break. I am still in my "wraps" annoyed by the entire experience and now being made to wait. I took the foil off and used my own nails to scrape off my old manicure and asked to please leave. I was charged $30. There were 3 other techs on their phones or chatting. Obviously Ben was not up to his job but management thought it was ok to not remedy the poor job he had done, and the. allow him to leave me wait and think I'd pay for more subpar service and wasted time. read more

My 2 friends and I went to the floris salon in Exton today for pedicures. One of my friends also had her legs waxed. Total cost for 3 pedis and leg wax was $250. While I was signing my credit card slip and reviewing the receipt (I was a little shocked about the price), the manager suddenly spoke from right behind me and started explaining the charges. She then proceeded to point out that I had no cash in my wallet for a tip and directed me to the ATM to withdraw cash for tips. Shocked, I simply said that my friend had already paid our tips in cash. The manager proceeded to go get my friend from the waiting area and brought her back to where I was sitting (still drying my nails) and asked about tips again, to which I explained again that we already paid tips. I was so shocked at the audacity and sheer rudeness of her harassing us about tips after we just spent $250, I WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN. HOPE YOUR TIPS WERE WORTH IT!!! read more

I am not from the area, boyfriend lives here and I come on weekends. I tried this place today with painted acrylics, I wanted to refill and a French tip or maybe file down and do a pink and white. Was told they can't do this at this salon, as it is "too hard" and "impossible"............. Uh, what? You're a nail salon. Also, I do this often so no it is not impossible. And with a $65 base for a pink and white, on top of charging to remove the acrylics if necessary, lets just get this done?... Nope. Was literally told the woman couldn't accomplish this. How? Meanwhile, another customer is asking to speak with management and being told no. From what I gathered, someone spilled something on her leg, ruining her clothes, and she was asking that they at least pay the dry cleaning bill if nothing else. But again, management was nowhere to be found. The place was hectic with several people waiting and being asked if they had an appointment, but all of us said no. No one was being helped though. Finally another employee comes to the register and rudely informs the woman handling this so far that all appointments for today are finished and she can take one of us to a table.... After we all sit and wait for however long......... I walked out after waiting 20+ minutes and then being told there's no way to change my nails after finally getting to a table.... I went to LA Nail down the road. An hour before they closed, and yet no one was rude..... I got my nails refilled AND converted to a beautiful coffin pink & white (I wish I could include a picture) for $55 total mind you ($70 with tip) And I will return to LA 2 weeks from now to see Tracy for a refill and a smile and a better run salon. This place lost a frequently paying, and tipping, customer (eyebrows, mani, pedi, legs, all regularly)..... For what? Incompetence? Idiots. read more

Never again! Made an appointment for a pedicure and was left to wait for 25 minutes while walk ins were taken ahead of me. I went here for a manicure and a pedicure. They charge $30 for a pedicure, which she only spent 20 minutes on. It consisted of her painting my nails with no extra features that are usually included in a pedicure, such as exfoliating, warm towels, hot stones, etc. They did this with my hands as well for a basic manicure, and charged $35. Both services took about 40 minutes combined. When it came time to pay, she made a point of telling me the tip isn't included in the price. I handed her a $20 and asked for change but she pretended not to hear me, said thank you, and tried kept the entire thing as her tip. When I asked for change again, she muttered something about me to her coworker standing next to her and reluctantly gave me my change. Overall, this place is over-priced for what you get and the customer service is mediocre at best. Will not be returning. read more

I have lived in the area for 12 years and discovered Floris about 5 years ago. It is my weekly guilty pleasure. The salon is clean. The owner takes great pride in making sure customers receive a first class experience. I regularly schedule with Kim - she is amazing. I have also had services from Hannah, Cindy,Cathy, jullia and Paul. Everyone does a great job. The complimentary chair massage while nails are drying is the icing on the cake. I am from philly and someone gave me a gift card for this salon, i decided to make the 45 min drive, I had a hard time finding the salon with my GPS so i attempted to call 3 times to get directions before someone answered... I was two turns away Once I got their they gave me a hard time for being 5 min late to my appointment even though I explained I had been calling for 15 minutes. Then they tried to convince me to get anything but acrylic nails which I have made an appointment for 2 hours before and they said it was okay to get that service done. It took an hour and a half for the service to get done, and worse part is the woman doing my nails had NO idea what she was doing... she had to call over another woman every 20 minutes to ask a question in another language.... most likely what do I do next? Then at the end of the service she explained to me that I needed to get gel next time because not everyone in the salon known who to do acrylic... then why is it on the menu of services and why did you do it if you were not confident in it? Plus i made an appointment for it! To top it off its been 4 days and i need to get them removed they look so bad... I have another $40 on my gift card and will not be using it.... read more

When I arrived in the early afternoon there were four other customers in this clean and large business. I was cheerfully greeted. I expressed clearly several times that I did not want my shins/feet massaged that I enjoyed soaking my feet in the warm swirling water. They were not busy so an extended soak should have been possible. Not a chance. The person tending to my toes did not speak English. He let me have 3 mins of soaking in tepid water. First foot in and out. Other foot in and out. Dry, spray, trim, one coat of color and top coat - Done! "You pay now." As I moved out of the chair. $30.00. Had a Groupon for a $19 pedi and I guess it's an express service! I did not receive the FULL pedicure service that you get when you pay $30! Barely filed the bottom of my feet, no cuticle removal lotion, slapped some lotion on my legs and a VERY short massage. I was in and out in abt 20 min (a good pedicure is normally 35 to 45 mins) and that's being generous! BEWARE !!! If you buy the Groupon you will NOT get the full service! I come to Floris for the convenience of its location but I have noticed that every time I am in here, the staff is very rude and snobby. They actually ASK FOR TIPS. I was actually there today and the lady took her time checking me out and obviously looking in my wallet waiting for me to give her a tip. When I didn't, she asks for a tip!! Uh...no, not for a 10$ eyebrow wax. Plus, she did not do a good job. I had to fix them when I got home. I am thoroughly saddened to hear about the biased practices at this establishment. I would not believe it if I had not witnessed it myself on 2 occassions. Once I was there and a gentleman was giving complimentary massages to all of the women who were drying their manis and pedis, but he kept skipping a very sweet African American lady. It was so obvious. I could kick myself for not standing up for her. On another occasion I witnessed an AA lady walk in for a nail repair. they told her there were no openings and she left. a few minutes later, another lady (caucasian) came in, and was immediately serviced. I am a local business owner who constantly has supported this business on a regular basis. I work with women who I have sent there on many many occasions, and have taken friends there as a treat, and bought gift certificates in the past, but I can not, in good conscience support the blatant disrespect of fellow Americans in this day and age. Our local community is a beautiful, diverse, mutually respectful, peaceful place to live and grow a family. I encourage all of my neighbors in the community to preserve the beauty and example that this area is, by refusing to support any manner of racism, bias and bigotry. We live in an important, pivotal and defining moment in history. Please stand up for what is right. You may be an Irish American, an Italian American, a Korean American, or an African American, but at the end of the day, we are all Americans, and this type of behavior has no place in the land of the free and the home of the brave. read more

Went on Monday to get a pedicure, I decided to get my gel manicure at the same time. The polish chipped within 24 hours! Went to get it fixed, the wrong color was applied, then another nailed chipped two days later. Go to Happy Nails. This is a salon where emlpoyees don't speak English and make you feel unwelcomed. They are rude and laugh at their customers. While performing services, they talk to other employees and make fun of your ugly feet or hands. The place is clean and organized which is the only good thing about it. They also have a guy who will offer a massage while your nails are drying. Well, I said no to him, and they started making fun of me. What a bad experience. I'm disappointed in this spa, because they don't clean or autoclave their equipment. I watched a girl put dirty clippers, files, etc, in a sealed bag, and back in the clean basket. The next girl put her dirty ones in a sealed bag, in the clean basket, and then took the other girls dirty bag, and used them on a new person. This went on for my whole pedicure w/ multiple girls. In a day where their is disease, hepatitis, nail fungus, etc, I was horrified at the fake display of cleanliness. I will not be back. read more

Was driving through the area on business travel, and decided to stop at the first nail salon I saw for a quick mani/pedi. WOW was I impressed, hands down one of the best salons I've been to. The atmosphere is lovely, staff friendly, overall a very tranquil experience. I have never had such a great manicure, and they give you a wonderful neck and shoulder massage while your nails are drying. The price is reasonable, at least for me because I live in the city and typically pay the $15 mani and $30 pedi like this place has. Let me preface with this: I have never in my life taken out the time to write a bad review. But I feel like something should be said about this place. I was in a hurry and googled "nail salon" and walked into this place. Yes, it does have a beautiful interior. Hence the one star. I walked in stating that I desired just an eyebrow and lip waxing, and they promptly brought me to a room. Hence the two stars. But that's where it ends. The lady who did my waxing's name was Kim. She told me right away that it would be $20. I said ok. She asked me if I was ok with that. I immediately felt insulted...thinking "if I already said yea that's fine why are you inquiring if I am able to pay for it?" Anyway I let it go, then she proceeded to explain to me why their prices are so high, "well here you get luxury pampering... high quality, expensive". That whole statement turned me off. Maybe this just isn't the place for me. I wished she would just get on with the show. Since she kept belaboring her unsolicited point, I responded saying "yea, usually it's just $5 and $7. But that's ok". She went on and on about how they are expensive for the high quality, but then said "ok--how about $18?" WHAT?! For a place that is supposed to be so fancy, how did this become a haggling deal? Am I in an indigenous town in Latin America? What is going on here? A "high quality expensive" spa and salon should have set prices. I can't understand why she is bartering with me, when I never even asked for this. I am now turned off for the second time. Not the end of the world, however. If I am paying $20 for lip and eyebrow waxing (before tip) when I normally spend $12, I'm at least expecting the same or better job than what I usually get. That was not the case. She did my eyebrows, only waxing off the bottom below my eyebrows. I have been getting this done for the past 6 years, at many many different salons, in all different cities. I have never had someone neglect to wax the top part off, or had to coach someone on what to do. I have to inform her that she should wax the top part off too. For all this, I could've just tweezed at home for free! At this point I am actually getting annoyed. I thought I was going to receive a high quality job. I don't even like the job she did. They look almost the same as when I walked in. Then she did my lip, I looked in the mirror (suspicious at this point). She missed some spots that I had to ask her to go over. I hate having to tell people how to do their own job. And especially after the speech she gave me. Super awkward. But I had to get my money's worth. When I went up and paid with a card, she mentioned that tip had to be cash only. I felt so embarrassed to give her only $1, but I could not muster up anything more after what I had been through. Keep in mind this occurred approximately 7 days ago, and my lip hairs are coming back (the small ones that never came off with the waxing job she did). I tired to stay polite during the whole ordeal, but I will never be back there again. I'm just irritated and even a bit insulted by her attitude, and furthermore dissatisfied with the quality. The place is nice and clean but the staff is very unprofessional. She and her coworker were laughing and talking about my friend and I the whole time and rushed through our manicure. The girl demanded I tip her before my nails were painted. After leaving dissatisfied the first time, I decided to give them a second chance. In my most recent visit there I chose the $60 pedicure. I was satisfied with the pedicure until the end. I arrived at 6:15 after work and they closed at 7. Right after she was finished with my pedicure (at 7:15) she pointed at the clock and said I needed to leave. Mind you, there were still 3 other customers getting their nails done. I wanted to make sure my nails were dry before leaving and they demanded I pay and leave. I did not like the service at all. The pedicure was terrible. They hardly took off anything with the pommice stone. The polish was old and did not go on evenly. When i moved to the manicure, the tools were sitting in a blue water, God knows what that is and when it was cleaned last. The kicker, before she does my nails, she asks me if I want to pay first. Great idea. So I do, and they charge me $17 for my daughters nail polish, which they said was $13 when i made the appointment. Overall highly unsatisfied with the service I still leave a tip. She asks me which one is for whom? And I say this is for you and the other one is for the gentleman. She takes all the money and gives it to the other guy. she comes back and asks me if this is the first time I am coming here. I say yes. I am a regular there and even though the employees may not speak/understand perfect English, they are always polite and I have NEVER gotten the feeling that they were talking/laughing about me or anyone else to each other. Nail salons are hit or miss because they take walk-ins. If there's a rush, technicians often cut corners. This happened to the extreme the one and only time I visited. Since I live out of state, I won't be going back, but if I lived next door, I'd still seek out another salon. If I hadn't been part of a wedding party with reservations, I probably would have left. First queasy feeling, the tub was barely swished with a reused yellow sponge after the previous client. Ick. Then I waited, my feet soaking in cool water, for quite a while before a tech arrived - meanwhile most of the wedding party had moving on to manicures. I told the tech I'd have a basic pedi and she pointed to a more expensive one. I said no and she pointed to an even more expensive one and said the whole wedding party had the full treatment that cost $70. Stupidly - entirely my lack of assertiveness with an insistent tech - I agreed on the full treatment which consisted of the sloppiest briefest slap-pound-press-in-all-the-wrong-places job, a glob of cucumber lotion from a jar followed by Saran wrap and a warm wet cloth. The pedi looked fine but the tech never trimmed around the cuticles or cleaned under my toenails. To add insult to innjury, it turned out that NO ONE in the wedding party had gotten the $70 treatment! Everyone had had the least expensive pedi. On to the gel polish mani - no cuticle care, no cleaning under the nails. Mid-way through, my tech got into a little snit with another tech who had unplugged and removed one of the UV drying machines, so she had me put one hand on top of the other and stuff both under the lights. Recipe for disaster; the polish on my thumb got messed up. Did she start over? No. She globbed more polish on and, in the end, though 9 of 10 nails looked great (expect for no hand massage, no nail cleaning or cuticle trimming) the messed up thumb was two shades darker than the rest. Besides being duped about what the other members of my party had done, and the poor to mediocre treatment, my biggest concern was was the reuse of emery boards, unsterilized tools and the shoddily washed tub. $105.00 later.... all I can say is: lessons learned. read more

I went to Floris in Exton today not sure whether I was going to get a toe polish change or a pedicure. When I checked in I saw that they offer a 5% savings if you pay with cash. I also felt very tense from our recent move and had heard that they do a quick neck and shoulder massage if you get a pedicure. I signed in and was asked to wait maybe 5-10 minutes, which is good since I did not have an appointment. As soon as I sat in the chair(which was very nice and very clean) the technician, who did not speak any English shoved a price sheet in my face as if to say, "what do you want". Since I had signed in and already spoke to the desk clerk about what service I wanted, I thought this was a bit rude! The technician basically did a quick clipping and filing and then he put the scrub on my feet. He barely rubbed it on and he was rinsing it off. He only filed my heels for maybe 20 seconds. The only good part was the massage he did on my feet. He rinsed my feet, did the polish and was done. He had no problem saying &30.00. I paid him and gave him a &7.00 tip and was really looking forward to my neck and shoulder massage, which never came! Needless to say,, I did not put any more money in the tip jar for the neck massage! No one even called me by my name! That is rude for an upscale nail salon that charges $30.00 for a pedicure! read more

This place is HORRIBLE. Do NOT go here. It's a waste of money. I called before I came in to make sure my 10$ coupon would be accepted. They said yes. I came in and they said the same thing. After my pedicure they wouldn't accept my 10$ off coupon. I felt lied too...it's not about the money. It's about treating your customers with respect. I really do not know how to start. I paid 100 dollars for a gel manicure, and a polish change. The manicurist complained about the last customer. She also wanted to talk to me about "being saved" She did not clean under my nails...the water as cold, and she did not do anything to my cuticles nor did she shape the nails. I went because I was under a lot of stress, and was not thinking when the bill came. I was taken...She charged me for a lot more than I was given. Also I wondered why I was in and out so fast. This was my second time to Floris and it will be my last. On my first visit I was made to feel like I should have made an appointment. Regardless, I was seen as a walk in. My pedicure was rushed however the result was good. On my second visit I made an appointment. The nail tech was apathetic, unprofessional, lacked skill. She was the only one without a name tag so maybe she was new. The massage was rushed and I had residual lotion on my legs from where she failed to massage fully. I turned down a manicure, but against my better judgement had her wax my eyebrows. She arched them poorly and I do not ave thick eyebrows so they are easy to do. She left residual wax on my right eyebrow. I was so appalled at this poor service. FYI don't have a young girl who chews gum with her mouth open do your nails! read more

I was really torn as to giving this nail salon a 3 or 4 star rating. I prefer a different nail salon in West Chester (Zazen) but due to time constraints, sometimes I have to go to Floris. The good: beautifully decorated and spacious nail salon, and a free shoulder massage while your nails are drying at the center table. The bad: This salon NEVER runs on time; even with an appointment, I usually find myself waiting 20-30 minutes to actually see a nail tech. I would much prefer being told when arriving if they are too busy or running behind so I could decide to either wait, or perhaps run another errand and come back. But they don't - they just say "ok, sign in" and then make you sit there without an explanation. I also find (usually after leaving) that there are a few dots of polish on my skin that they forgot to remove. That really shouldn't happen. All in all, if you can wait for possibly half an hour and keep an eagle eye for detail with your polish, this might be an acceptable option for you. If you prefer English speaking techs who are on time and do a fantastic job with your nails, save yourself the trouble and head to Zazen Nail Spa in West Chester. read more

Tucked away in the shopping center across from the mall, I never knew Floris even existed. For over a decade, I routinely visited the Exton Mall's nail salon for my bi-weekly mani/pedi, but after just one visit to Floris - after it was recommended by a friend - I was hooked. The employees are warm, sociable, and nice while the atmosphere is very relaxing and upscale. The prices are a little high, but for what you pay and get for it, the money is worth it. I highly recommend Floris! You won't be disappointed. read more
