NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY. They charged me to repair a leak and said they sent the crew and the leak was repaired. When I told them no one showed, Eddie the owner literally got angry with me and said I insulted him insinuating they were trying to collect money for work not done. He was incredibly rude and I was taken aback. A couple of days later he called to apologize and said I was correct, they had not sent someone and they would promptly do so. If that was the end of the story, I would not be writing this review. They claimed a second time that they found the leak in a pipe at the pool equipment, and charged me for that repair. Again - it did not fix the leak. They came a third time, and this time, without any permission, they literally cut apart my spa - and when they did not even find the plumbing to the spa after the damage was done, sent me a photo to show what they had done and literally said it was because the spa was "built wrong" that they could not locate the leak. They wanted to charge more money and keep cutting the spa apart, and had massive attitude when I asked them why they thought this would lead to a solution to the leak. At this point - I told them to stop. I called out a different company and literally within 20 minutes, they discovered the problem and repaired it. The repair entailed no destruction to any part of the pool - it had to do with sealing something visible in the spa. The photos show how Eddie left my spa. On their website, their motto is "if we don't find your leak, you pay nothing". NOT TRUE. He never found the leak, destroyed my spa, and kept asking for more money. I recently bought a house and the pool had been neglected. I asked Eddie for help, and he and Daniel were able to figure out and then replace the insane "Das Boot" era plumbing for a new, clean, easily understandable valve system with clear labeling. I've had Florida Pool and Leak out before to fix the same leak. It was fixed the first time after two tries, I think three or four years ago, but started leaking again around the same spot, the main drain. First time the pool was drained, chiseled out a couple of inches around the entire main drain, replaced with the pebble sheen finish that I had to purchase myself, and it still leaked. Second trip they simply caulked around the edge, which probably was all it needed in the first place. Held up fine until about three months ago I started noticing the levels dropping. They came out, found out it was in the same place again and caulked. Altogether I've spent well over a thousand bucks to get the same spot fixed. read more

BEWARE! VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS COMPANY. If you hire this company for leak detection/repair in your pool, be very vigilant after repairs for water loss/decrease even if it seems like evaporation, report it as they will not backup their work after the first 30 days. Two leaks in my pool were detected and repaired in January and now it turns out 8 weeks later there may be another leak they did not initially detect and repair. I honestly did not take the time to watch my pool for water loss and it wasn't until after the 30 day warranty period expire that I noticed a drop in water level. After speaking with my pool maintenance company who confirmed the constant loss of water I called and spoke with Eddie Iglesias, owner of this company. After explaining the situation he advised me my 30 day warranty period had passed and I would have to pay for another leak detection of $350.00 (then offered it for $250.00.) I was appalled to hear that I had to pay for another diver to detect the "supposed" new leak and became angry; he was very unprofessional and started mocking me laughing and questioning/doubting my story. After 16 minutes of back and forth he said he had entertained me long enough and hung up on me! Great customer service Mr. Iglesias! After paying $1,000 to repair a leak in January you expect it to be fixed and not have a recurring issue in March, just a couple of weeks after the warranty period expires. Mr. Iglesias states new leaks can occur every month? REALLY? He stated I had an old pool. My pool is less than 8 years old! I would not recommend this company! If you do use them sit by your pool with a ruler and document your water levels daily to ensure the water is not leaking. If you notice at the least bit the water level has dropped, be sure to report it to them within the first 30 days, otherwise you are on your own. This company does care in the least bit about customer service and costumer satisfaction. Now I'm left to hire another company who hopefully will take care of the leak left undetected by Florida Pool and Leak Specialist. Had a small leak in the pool, not sure where it was coming from. Wanted to call a company that specialized in leaks. Their price was comparable to any other company so I used them, knowing they specialize in only pool leaks and aren't just plumbers. The repair guy was nice, spoke to him on the phone and stated that he found minor leaks in the skimmer and around the pool light. $275 later and it was fixed. A week later, pool still leaking. Called company and they stated that it was just a temporary fix and would cost $850 to fix it permanently!!!!! Decided to do my own repairs. Went to Pinch a Penny and spent $50 on epoxy and went into the pool. They used probably .50 worth of product around the skimmer and NOTHING when I took the pool light out. Florida Pool and Leak did a great job repairing the leak in our pool. Our only mistake was we called another company for leak detection first, when I wish we called Florida Pool from the start. When the other company quoted me a price that I felt was high, I called Florida Pool. The Florida Pool price was fair and in line with what my pool guy told me. In addition, their people were very nice & accommodating to my busy schedule. The repair guys came out and worked all day in the heat to replace my skimmer and repair the leak around my pool niche. After the work, the pool was still leaking (because the original company didn't detect all the leaks correctly). Florida Pool again was very fair on the price to fix the additional leak and now after a few months, I finally have a leak free pool! After three weeks unsuccessfuly trying to find a leak in my pool I had no choice but to call for help. I did quite a bit of research on line and found Florida Pool and Leak. From the moment I called to set up an appointment I could tell these guys were professionals. I made my appointment for first thing in the morning and when the day came, I received a call from Josh, the technician, 30 min. before the appointment to tell me he was on the way. Josh arrived as scheduled and was able to find the leak using sonar in no time. It was under my deck. In fact, after pressurizing the lines and removing a paver, he was able to make a litle geyser come up through the sand. No wonder I could not find it. Because it was a "major repair" and not included with the leak detection fee (fixing leaks inside the pool are included with the detection fee) I hired Florida Pool and Leak to make the repair. A couple of days later, Daniel arrived as scheduled to make the repairs. Like Josh, Daniel was professional and simply an all around nice guy. Moreover, he had over 30 years of pool repair experience. He lifted the pavers, dug out the sand and meticulously made the repair. In fact, he replaced the pvc pipe but was not satisfied it would last to he cut it out and installed a second, new section. The following morning (he finished the repair at 6:00 pm) he returned and put everything back making it look as if nothing had ever been touched. Once I topped off the pool, everything worked fine with no more leak. Alex, an office worker, called two days later to make sure the repair was done correctly and I was satisfied with the work. While I was initially quite satisfied when Florida Pool and Leak Specialists came to diagnose my pool leak in January, 2015 and fixed it a couple of weeks later with a Hydraulic repair ($595.50 total), and I wrote good reviews on their behalf, I have been extremely disappointed and dissatisfied ever since. The leak returned approximately 3-4 weeks later and they sent someone to look at it. He indicated that he was only able to epoxy the skimmer area but IT SHOULD HAVE A HYDRAULIC CEMENT REPAIR, which I paid for. I called the Company and the said the epoxy should work and I negotiated a two year warranty. About three weeks ago I called the Company to advise them that I performed the "bucket test" they prescribe and I was losing water at the rate of one tile length (4-5") per week. They said it could be another leak but I explained the background and they said they would send someone but if it was not in the same area I would be responsible for the costs. Anyway I agreed to have them come out since I was confident that the leak was in the same area anyway. They were busy and made an appointment for about 10 days later to come between 9 and 10 AM Thursday 4/23/15. On 4/22 they called to indicate the service person couldn't make it. I had to call them back twice to get a new date which was 4/25/15 between 10 AM and 1 PM. No one showed up by 12:45 PM so I called the Company (received a voicemail), left them a message and sent them an email about the situation. On Monday 4/27/15 their President, Eddie, called and after attempting to make a few excuses (but agreed I was on the schedule) like new people, etc.; indicated the epoxy should have done the trick and the person they sent out did not know about pool repairs so wasn't in a position to say it needed hydraulic cement (don't know why they sent out a person who doesn't know about pool repairs to fix my leak). Anyway, Eddie said and reinforced that he would come out personally between 2:00 and 4:00 PM today (4/29/15) to view the repair himself. I'M STILL WAITING FOR EDDIE TO SHOW UP AND IT'S 9:00 PM.........EVEN EDDIE DIDN'T HAVE THE COMMON COUTESY TO CALL. I strongly recommend you do not use Florida Pool and Leak Specialists. read more

I called this company twice on different days, and left two messages about a suspected leak in the main drain of my pool. I had drained my pool and left the pool empty so the repair would be easier to perform. The third time I called, a woman answered the phone and said that Eddie was in a meeting and he'd call me back in ten to fifteen minutes. Half a day went by and I never heard from anyone. I called again later in the day and Eddie answered the phone. I explained that I had called earlier that morning, as well as leaving two voice mails, and never received a call back. He asked me what I wanted him to do in a condescending manner. I explained the situation again. I kept hearing phones ringing in the background, and asked if this was an answering service. He said no. Something is odd about this business, and I wouldn't trust it. When I asked him why I never received a call back, he asked me again in a condescending manner what he could do for me. I wouldn't trust a company to perform work that doesn't have the courtesy to return calls, especially if you end up with a problem after the company finishes a repair and you pay in full for the repair. read more
