This was up until mid February when my weekly pool service suddenly stopped (NOT for lack of payment) and I was never given a reason why. I called, messaged, texted and NEVER once did I receive a response from their founder. I found that to be very unprofessional after so many years of service. I was very disappointed. My pool turned green after waiting three weeks before choosing another company to come out. They could have at least sent a letter out to customers notifying them of any recent changes or disruption of future service as noted here on Yelp (closed temporarily til Sept 2021).

We must have gone through 3-4 different unreliable pool companies before being lucky enough to find SoFlo Pools. Here's what is our condominium building loves about SoFlo Pools! 1. They have a super cool report system that emails a picture and chemical report each time they service the pool so that you know it's safe for swimming. 2. Affordable. We were with them for two years, prior to receiving a modest fee increase. 3. Similar to another reviewer, we had a non-functioning hot tub / spa. SoFlo Pools was the only company to work with us to repair the system. It was complicated, and they figured it out, and installed a new control system. 4. They broke the concrete anyways and the problem wasn't resolved and they had to brake another place in the concrete and charged me for it. Also, one of the lights he installed isn't working and it's been 6 months and it's still not fixed. The owner always give me excuses that he was out of town, or just doesn't respond to my text. They may be cheaper but it's not with it!!!!!

I initially hired OP Pool Leak Detection and Repairs in January to find leaks in our pool. All…read morethings started off great, Onarbin was very responsive, showed up as he said he would and seemed professional. He found leaks quickly, which is where I wished I would have stopped. Unfortunately, I hired him to replace my leaking pool skimmer. The installation was extremely poor. When we expressed our concerns, Onarbin was quick to give excuses but told us he would return to make repairs. He never did. I now have to hire a new company to repair the work done by O.P. Pool. The photos and video show the issues. Problems with the skimmer installation include: 1. Skimmer was installed too high, it is now sitting above my patio pavers causing a tripping hazard. 2. Skimmer opening at the deck is too small for the skimmer basket to be lifted out. To fix this, Onarbin cut up the skimmer basket so that it could fit through the hole that is too small. 3. One pool pipe under skimmer basket is now filled with loose gravel from the installation. 4. Grout around the skimmer is crumbling. And the top of the skimmer is falling apart 5. Deck pavers around skimmer are now all loose.

The company only works with Jandy pumps and did not provide me with any other option except replacing the entire pump, which I find unacceptable given the short lifespan. I expected higher-quality equipment and better customer support for a pool that is just over three years old. This experience gives the impression that there is little concern for the customer once the installation is completed.

Communication after this initial review improved. I was getting weekly calls from lady handling permits and even sales rep when needed. I did still have to speak to the engineer at the DERM department on a weekly basis too to make sure that both parties were understanding each other bc the special permit got "denied" 2 times. I do have to say that once pool construction began everything ran really quick and fast. We had a pool before Christmas. From the ground breaking to the finish work I had Pepe and another superintendent come in to supervise the work at least once a week or they will come and prep for the next part. I was also almost at all inspections and spoke to the inspectors as recommended by Pepe. Overall, I do believe that they have to communicate with the clients more often during the permitting process and specially when there are special requirements for a permit due to the property. So far my pool looks beautiful and it hasn't had any problems.
