Josh is the store manager at this location, and I've seen this store go through three different managers over the years. Since Josh and his morning team have been here, I've noticed a real improvement in the flow of the store, the customer service, and the overall atmosphere. It genuinely brings me joy and comfort to see my favorite neighborhood dispensary thriving again. This is the only dispensary near my home that's open at 6:00 a.m., and I love that it's conveniently located in a shopping center. It never fails coming here they are understaffed. Every time I come in here there are customers waiting around to be helped (8 today), then after you wait to oder (10 minute wait or more just to order) you wait another 10-15 minutes for them to get your order ready...This place is a chore at any time of day. It's cash only now, they are out of many things and they only have 4 options for liquid drinks. I'm honestly not sure how they are still in business. They are bi e, but need more employees and to better manage time/customer service. This is the third time I've stopped by because I was shopping in the area and had to leave because there were so many waiting to place orders or waiting for their orders. I never have this issue with Cookies in hayward and going back to Cookies as it's a waste of time and Money here at Flor. The server and manager both gave me (2) different explanations. I told them both, that what they were telling was not adding up. So I dropped it. So now I'm checking out and the gal behind the counter, who I have met many times, and she asked what's good, I mentioned I was alittle frustrated with the answers I was given about the products. Next thing I now, she pulls in the bald goatee guy behind the counter into the conversation. He says YEAH I HEARD SOMEONE WAS COMPLAINING. AND GAVE ME A DIRTY LOOK. I said questions are complaints???, he proceeded to tell me: All you need to know is what we told you so stop acting like a child! At this point I got pissed and told him get fucked. Now some other customer on the floor starts telling me I needed to relax, I told him to mind his own business that I just had questions, then bald guy behind the counter encouraged this guy to the point that when I went out to my car the guy was hassling me in the parking lot, and even took it so far as to pull up next to me (2) blocks away and give me a big stare down. I've been a daily, tipping customer at Flor for years, and until today, I never had a bad experience there. That's why this was so disappointing. The worst part is that I had already gone in earlier that same morning wearing a hoodie, and nobody said a word. Then I came back later in the day and was suddenly stopped at the door because of it. The staff told me I could "just pull it down for ten minutes," but that completely misses the point. The issue is not the hoodie. The issue is the random enforcement, the lack of consistency, and the fact that a regular who has supported this place for years was suddenly treated like a problem. I've seen plenty of customers come in wearing hoodies. I've even seen large dogs in wagons brought onto the sales floor. So being turned away over a standard piece of clothing after years of daily business feels ridiculous. The staff was polite, but polite doesn't fix poor judgment. It doesn't make inconsistent rules feel respectful. And it definitely doesn't make a loyal customer feel valued. After that, I walked over to Lemonnade to see if this was some industry-wide requirement or just a Flor problem. I was welcomed without issue, and the service was excellent. The walk is a little longer, but the difference was obvious. Flor is a utility. Lemonnade is a destination. I supported Flor for years because it was convenient. First of all the way they have everything set up is really complicated. I walked in wasn't greeted and nobody asked me if I needed help. Basically you have to wait for somebody with an iPad who's open to help you. I waited and went up to a couple people to ask questions and after my question was answered, they walked away. The vibe is just off and there is hardly any customer service. They need to find a better system on buying products and checking out that makes sense. 11/20 9:49pm. Flor dispensary is a disappointment today. I arrived 11 minutes prior to closing when they claimed they would not help me anymore due to being understaffed. Quite frankly I have worked for numerous businesses and if you are understaffed, management should pay extra for employees to stay 15 minutes longer. Anyone who made it prior to the 10pm cutoff time should be allowed in. It's not my problem the business is understaffed. The staff that is present should be given additional incentive by carrying the weight of employees who call out. I would say management is very poor at Flor and feels unrefined in terms of customer service. Very disappointed for a customer who exclusively goes to this dispensary although now I will no longer be exclusively going to this dispensary. Staff did nothing wrong but follow orders, whoever was leading/managing the day failed to handle that properly. Please consider a fail safe plan next time to avoid any issues which are not fair to clients. I drove from Santa Clara, just to be rejected at normal operating hours. I've been to Flor in Union City twice, and both times the front desk staff I dealt with were pretty rude, which was disappointing considering they're just checking people in. Every other employee inside was chill and helpful though. Pricing is very inconsistent Sluggers pre rolls at $70 is just straight overpriced.
