Unfortunately used to be a legitimate experience but it's gone completely downhill in the last year... extremely overpriced and the Gramlin stuff they offer is not pure. It tastes very soapy and it's the only pen that's ever made my throat bleed. I do not trust this company and I've lost appreciation for them. Trust me when I say the flower is very low quality. You are paying for the building basically. There is another smoke shop down the street that is really hidden and hard to see. I've witness a fight break out where one of the male managers started berating a customer saying "don't you ever tell me I don't know what I'm talking about I've been doing this longer than you." I wanted to step up and say something because the customer was being genuinely casual and was trying to explain that the manager just didn't understand what he was asking for. I genuinely would not give your business to this company. It's just not worth it. They don't deserve it to be honest. Oh and whatever you do DONT get the stiiizy's!!! They will straight up spew hot wax into your mouth and stop working halfway through. I've been through 5 pods that all failed. Customer service is always really great but it takes forever to get online support and god forbid trying to find a number to call into. I used to look forward to getting my stuff from them but they're regularly out of stock of items, I've had issues with delivery drivers not delivering packages but claiming that "delivery attempt failed" even when I'm literally sitting on my doorstep. Everything has been on a downward spiral over the past year. I found a newer spot to go to but felt nostalgic and looked up Caliva and saw that things are even worse than before. I couldn't even get to my reward points because their website has so many bugs and glitches. I gave up and just vowed not to go back. If it works for you, great. Just had a negative experience at this store. I was in the line in the San Jose store and when I walked up, I was interested to see if they had any more deals on the almora vapes, so that was the first thing I said. The retail assistant said "you don't even want to introduce yourself first?" Then he muttered something about improper etiquette. Moving forward from that he hands me the iPad to look through the inventory myself. (Normally they look it up) when he handed me the iPad he made me pretty uncomfortable then I couldn't find the item I wanted on it and there was another unhappy customer at the same time complaining about some lady getting mad at him that worked there, so I just left after making a token purchase and tipping. It was more of the retail assistants vibe. Last time I'm coming here. All the employees are very knowledgeable and will gladly help you find what you are looking for. The selection here is also quite extensive. They have flower, edibles, cartridges and pens and so much more! Prior to entering, you are carded twice; once at the main entrance outside, and another time to check in before you enter the actual sales floor. Be sure to bring a state I.D or Passport. Once you make it past the check in and are in the sales floor, you may have to wait in another line prior to purchasing stuff. If you know what you want, I would suggest ordering in advanced and picking it up, the process will be faster of course. If you don't know what you want, any of the bud tenders here will gladly help you determine what your needs are in accordance to your likes and dislikes. Also they have a new double safe account verification system for rewards that doesn't seem to work, so you cannot use rewards with online orders. The pick up line is to the left of the front door, right of the security check in. It's pointless to have a line for pickup outside and on the inside after the front desk check in. That in itself wastes time for customer experience, the employees are not helpful in guiding customers to the check out line for pick up. Caliva only gets 3 stars for product, variety, safety as in security and quality. Very poorly operated, corporate dispensary. I placed an online order but was still made to wait in their lobby with the walk-in customers. I only came in to take advantage of the first time customer promo. The girl working at the front desk didn't welcome me in and she seemed annoyed that more customers kept walking in. If I could give this place a 0 star review I would. Went here with a friend to grab a birthday gift. It's 7:30 PM, endured a 20-minute line in the cold. Finally, at the front, security asks if it's online pickup or walk-in. We say walk-in, and he casually says, "Go wait in the other line" on the opposite side without any signage. We didn't even know there were two separate lines because there were no signs indicating which was which. We mentioned that there was no signs and mentioned our 20-minute wait, hoping for some understanding, but he responded with, "Well, someone should put a sign up, but you're gonna have to go wait again in the back." with a smirk on his face We've been here twice now; first time, no line but unfriendly checkout staff who didn't answer questions. When I asked a simple question "how much is this product without the discount ?" just a blank "I couldn't tell you." while her iPad was right in front of her. This second time, with the security guard incident, we wouldn't have minded the wait, but the disrespect killed our mood. Not recommending this place to anyone new. The staff isn't friendly and lacks motivation to engage with customers. I don't know how this place is still operating they're downright hostile and couldn't care less about customers. I placed an online order but since I don't have access to the email address / didn't have a confirmation they made it a thing at the door. They also let in 6 walk in people before me. I have been coming here for YEARS and they usually let one walk in customer in, and then one pick up customer in. The attitudes of both guys tonight was uncalled for and I've never been treated like this at Caliva, so I am very disappointed. I ended up saying "f*** this." And I left and they proceeded to laugh at me as I walked away. I have been coming to caliva since the beginning. Lately when I place a pick up order NO ONE TAKES CARE OF IT. I've been told "we forgot I'm sorry" literally every time. I'm busy and I don't have time to wait in their long lines so I depend on my order being ready. Takes over an hour every time and sometimes when I go to figure out the problem it's absolutely slow. As a customer everytime I go here I feel 1. Unseen 2. Not taken care of 3. Like I'm an annoyance to the employees I'm just someone trying to buy your goods, yet you continually make me feel unwelcome in your establishment. That's hilarious that they think that's a good look. If I was growing that I'd be trying to fix the pH imbalance in the root zone. I'd also try to determine how I over-fed it. Some people think such anomalies "the exotic genetics" LOL. Hmmm. How long before they change that pic? Somebody gimme a sign if you notice it's been removed. This dispensary makes it hard to become a new customer (in my experience). Telephone customer service is broken. And shopping is broken. If you open a new tab in your web browser to view a product page then add it to your cart as -- as I did 5 times. In the end, I had 1 product in cart even after reloading the site.
