What follows is an unfortunate, factual summary (with pictures) of our experience with Anthony Pelletier and Floors to Ceiling Construction: * An official complaint has been filed with the California Contractors State License Board * An independent 3rd party has verified Anthony Pelletier and Floors to Ceiling Construction failed to obtain required permits, calling into question the safety of any work completed * Floors to Ceiling Construction and Anthony Pelletier has failed to timely complete quality work, despite having been paid $152,531 of a current total project cost of $153,283. * The contract estimated a work completion date of September 31, 2018, and work began on July 18, 2018. * Since September 31, 2018, Anthony Pelletier and Floors to Ceiling Construction has been given multiple timeline extensions and ample opportunity to complete the work. * December 14, 2018: Supplier contracted with Anthony Pelletier came to our home seeking payment for materials Anthony Pelletier failed to pay for. * December 30, 2018: Three former Floors to Ceiling Construction employees came to our home claiming they were not paid by Anthony Pelletier and had tools to collect. * January 4, 2019: Painter, contracted or employed by Anthony Pelletier, came to our home seeking payment for work Anthony Pelletier failed to pay for. * February 1, 2019: Supplier contracted with Anthony Pelletier came to our home a second time seeking payment for materials Anthony Pelletier failed to pay for. * On 1/27/2019, Anthony Pelletier provided a "google calendar" for the remaining work reviewed in person on 12/27/2018 - he has failed to complete or, in some cases, even start the approximately 55 items (see photos) as of this posting. read more

BEWARE!! NOT LICENSED... Do yourself a favor and read ALL reviews CAREFULLY! You will see many of the reviews with 5 stars didn't actually hire these people to do work for them. Megan will charm your pants off until she closes the deal, and then she will turn on you. She will make a million excuses about why things didn't get done or why they didn't show up. They will show you their license but not tell you that it has been PERMANENTLY REVOKED. They will show you their bond but not tell you it's been canceled. They will send employees to your house without providing any worker's comp insurance. And they will DEMAND money for work not yet completed. Anthony and Floors to Ceilings have been referred for criminal prosecution. Please see screenshots from the California Contractors State Licensing Board. Here is my story: I engaged with Megan, who was super responsive and in constant contact with ideas and product options. I was worried that I would need an architect and an engineer before we could take out the pony wall in my living room, so Anthony came out and confirmed it would be no problem. Once the contract was signed, they sent employees out to start painting. I questioned why they were painting when we hadn't taken out the wall. Anthony gave me a story about the order in which things needed to be done. His favorite thing to say is, "trust me; I know what I am doing; I have been doing this for over 20 years". I asked 2-3 times a week about the permit and the inspection. He tried soooo many times to convince us that we should NOT get a permit, which was not an option for me. They tried to say I never asked for a permit, but it is documented that I did and had already paid for it. The painting itself was fine, but their employees dropped white paint all over my black doors. Now I have to have all my doors repainted, which was not in my original scope of work or budget. The painting was not completed. There are still two rooms in my house that have not been touched. They never applied for a permit to take down our wall. The pony wall was opened up along with the ceiling and then abandoned that way - see pics. The electrical outlets were removed; however, the wires were not properly removed or capped; instead just shoved back into the wall. Before the new flooring was installed, I asked about padding or underlayment and was told by Megan that it would void my flooring warranty, so no underlayment was used. They abandoned the project about halfway through laying the flooring. They also left one toilet in a shower and another in my master bedroom after breaking my bed. The new contractor has said that absolutely an underlayment should've been used. We are now paying to have the floor they put down torn back up so that an underlayment can be put down first. The underlayment was revisited because of all the hallow spots we found due to their failure to clean before putting down the new floor. They couldn't even be troubled to sweep the floor first! There was dirt and even pieces of sheetrock under the new flooring. They used a sub-contractor to concrete the side of my house. There were no issues with the sub-contractor or the concrete work. They did a great job! When they abandoned the job, I had no countertops because they had already removed my granite but had yet to install the new countertops. Fortunately, I recognized Anthony's game of taking my money and not paying the people working on my job, so I paid the fabricator directly. After Floors to Ceilings abandoned the project, I was able to get my counters installed. That said, Anthony did try to get the fabricator to refuse to install the counters, but the fabricator came through since I had paid him in full. This is a cautionary tale. I hope this review prevents Anthony, Megan, and Floors to Ceilings from scamming anyone else. I have ALL my text messages and documentation that I am willing to share. Please do not even get involved with this company. We used them for work in the past (they did good work) and recently signed a contract for a new project. We paid them $5,900 and they ghosted us on the project. Short story: Construction was to begin on 2/16 when Anthony told me the wrong flooring came in. A week later Anthony told me he couldn't do the job because his truck broke down. Anthony asked his brother (who owns a flooring company) to drop off the flooring and now they have completely ghosted us. I went to file a claim with the California State Board of Contractors only to find out his license has recently been suspended and there have been other claims filed against him for failure to follow the law. WOW! I have heard of these stories before but never thought I would fall into this situation. BEWARE! read more

So let me start off by saying that I did not go with this company to do my kitchen countertops but I will surely have them as my first goto contact for future home renovations. I initially decided to request for estimates via Yelp for kitchen countertops pricing for product, demo, and install. I received an instant response back from Anthony (owner) to contact Megan (owner-spouse) about coming by to get an accurate estimate. I spoke with Megan and was able to be scheduled the following morning. Megan came by with a mask and did measurements. She then provided me with a quote after asking me what my budget was and also ensuring that they are also willing to work with me if estimate wasn't feasible. Megan was very pleasant and direct which is what I like a whole lot. No beating around the bush. She knows what's she's doing and also included Anthony within our messaging and emails for estimates. I did not go with them because I ended up going with my family member who finally agreed on doing our kitchen Reno for cheaper even though he lives a good distance from us. But, if anyone is ready for a home Reno and need an estimate, Please contact Anthony and Megan because they know what they are doing! They are honest and direct. They will provide a great service and also asked what my main decision factor was. That really shows how great of a service they are willing to provide to their customers. read more

Anthony and Megan were a pleasure to work with from start to finish! We had water damage and mold in our kitchen and family room and they worked with our budget to redo everything - from paint to tile floors to baseboards to electrical. I had a blast meeting Megan at various stores to shop for materials and Anthony and his crew were always punctual, professional and courteous. They pulled the appropriate city permits and honored our contract to a T. We get so many compliments on our remodeled rooms and we know the fabulous kitchen went a long way towards the resale value of our home. We have kept in touch with Anthony and Megan for over a year because they are such great people who do fantastic work! We contacted Anthony as we were looking for a reliable contractor for our relatively small kitchen remodel project. He responded to our request very quickly and stopped by within a day or so to review the job. It took a bit of time for him to provide the estimate, but we were not in a huge hurry. We had quite a few questions about the estimate but Anthony answered them all adequately. From then it took quite a few weeks before he was ready to begin the work. We did find during this phase that we had to keep reminding him about letting us know when he was planning on starting the work. Once he gave us a date, it ended up slipping a week because of some personal issues in his family. Again, we were not in a huge rush, but we always had to ask for info, as it was not provided to us. When the work finally began, it went quickly (a 3-4 day job for two workers). The quality was appropriate for the home value and the neighborhood and we are happy with it. A last-minute significant design change occurred (which they handled) but it was not discussed with us until after it was installed and we called Anthony to ask about it. Fortunately the final County inspection went well and we are happy with the finished product. In short, Floors to Ceiling does provide quality construction at a very reasonable price. Be prepared, however, to manage the schedule and communications yourself. read more

I have so many good things to say about this company. They Did concrete down our entire side yard, followed by an entire kitchen remodel, floors throughout our home, remodeled our entry area, paint, and refurbished our hallway cabinets. I have not one complaint. The crew came everyday M-F, they were on time every single day. They always cleaned up after the end of the day. All of the crew is very respectful of our family living in the home through a remodel. Either Anthony or Megan stopped by almost daily to check on progress and be sure that we were always on the same page. They both also keep in contact over text daily to give updates on what to expect the following day. They are so helpful during decision making, bringing samples, setting appts to look at granite/backsplash etc. Their team is fast, efficient and had every bit of the work done in just over a month. This review is not about Floors to Ceilings work, only about their customer service. Anthony came right on time to do an estimate to remodel our guest bathroom. I loved what he had to say, and the photos he showed me of his work were really nice. When he left, he said, "This should be an easy job, give me to the end of the week, and I'll have an estimate written up". That was January 18th. The following week, I emailed because I hadn't gotten an estimate. They told me they would have it by the end of the week. I still don't have an estimate after 5 weeks and multiple calls and emails. They strung me along all this time, and yesterday emailed me asking for all the other competitor's bids we've gotten so they can make sure we're "comparing apples to apples" before we take any more money off. I never asked for any money off. That would be impossible, as they never gave me an estimate. Maybe they do great work, but I couldn't get close to that far with them. read more

We have used Anthony and his team for multiple renovations in our home over the past two years. They have renovated our fireplace, master bathroom, kitchen island, and outdoor patio. An absolutely amazing company to work with. This company is a true diamond in the ruff midst all the contractors we spoke with. We completed a full kitchen remodel of our 50 year old kitchen with them. We worked with Tony and Megan the owners to design, plan and achieve the absolute kitchen of my dreams. Additionally, Megan and Tony made it fell like our project was the most important design they were working on and that we were family. FTC team of employee are skilled well beyond what I could have expected and demonstrated professionalisms, integrity and craftsmanship at every step of the process regardless of what we asked in our design and the changes my husband threw at them. This is not about the work that floors to ceiling did. Anthony came out to do an estimate and he seemed like an honest guy my husband and I were really excited to find him. He said he would give us a quote the following week it's been 4 weeks! My husband has contacted Meagan each week and each time she apologized. There was always something, it was the material guy that was holding up the estimate, they were camping and no service, then a picture she sent us of one of their vehicles in an accident. I understand things come up but I felt they just strung us along. We needed the quote for insurance purposes we would of waited for the actual work to be done when they had an opening. It's just very upsetting that we waited this long and nothing. My husband no longer gets any responses when reaching out to them. It would of been nice if Anthony/Meagan were just honest and said we have too much work already and not looking for anymore. I'm sure they do amazing work it's just the lack of communication and honesty now we are left to start all over. Thank you Meagan for responding but I would like to add Anthony said he would give us an estimate in a week. So there was a time frame and my husband did in fact tell you that in your correspondence! Yes we had another contractor not give us a quote but we didn't pursue it because we liked and wanted Anthony that was relayed to you as well. We were not looking for just anyone. I hope Anthony's recovery goes well, you never said he had any injuries you sent a picture of the truck with a caption "sorry this happened" my husband has reached out to you since and no response.
