They were responsive but did take some repeated outreach to get them to get me a contract. Once we got past that they were much better. The workmanship, while generally good left a flaw. I've reached out over a week ago but have not heard back about this. The team was very good but left behind some mess that I had to take care of. I recently had to pull up a portion of the flooring in my laundry room due to flooding caused by my washing machine. When pulling it up, I discovered the entire floor was put in with the underpayment INSTALLED UPSIDE DOWN! It's mind boggling. Why? Because the underlayment literally says THIS SIDE UP. An underlayment is supposed to protect your subfloor from moisture. Nope. Upside down, it acts like a sponge. This tops the mismatch debacle (which they never remedied despite a rep coming out and agreeing that it didn't match). This flooring covers 422 square feet in my home. And it was all done wrong. The rep for this company said he was "busy" and at a minimum, a small repair job with their company is over $1600. I am a firm believer in what you pay is what you get. Very disappointed by Alon at Flooring Pro. I did a sizable project with him on a spec home with labor and materials totaling over $15,000. He would send his guys in and sometimes they were inexperienced and made a lot of mistakes and he would demand payment without oversight and inspection of their work. The pics below are just one example of not checking to make sure the floor was finished correctly. (earlier in the project there were huge gaps left under the shadow molding as the workers had apparently never seen it before and we're not giving Clair instructions by their bosses). On the last small repair job, I pointed out that one of the planks had a 3/8" lip/elevation, he told me that was normal and " would go down on its own" (total BS) When I suggested that they should be flush, he said he wouldn't do the repair until I paid him in for a final payment of $685 first. I kindly requested that we just meet at the property with the repair person and I would give him a check at the same time and he still refused and told me "I don't want to deal with people like you". What does that mean? You don't want to deal with people who would like their floors to be flush? HE THEN THREATENED TO PUT A LIEN ON MY PROPERTY FOR $685. Alon has a real attitude, and often talks down to his customers. Much of this could've been avoided if he would just inspect the work of his workers before he asked for final payment. I highly suggest you look for a different company to do your floors. He's very nice when he meets you but when things don't go his way, he turns on a dime and becomes a very angry and seriously condescending, especially to women. read more

As someone that has used many contractors over the 25 years we have owned our house, rarely have we been as happy at the end of a project as we were with Flooring Pros. We spoke to Jordan in the showroom when my wife and I were getting serious about changing the flooring in our kitchen and upstairs bedroom and were not sure what material we wanted to use. He walked us through the different kinds of flooring materials and we settled on vinyl. That was not even our second choice before we spoke to him. Alon came to our house to give us a proper estimate, both for labor time and materials, and was willing to work with us within our budget to make it happen. He always answered texts right away and phone calls as well. Very important for good customer service. The date was set and the 2 man crew came out with the materials and began the demo. They cleaned up at the end of every day, and did a good conscientious job each of the 3 days they were there. The end product looked even better than we thought it would, and the attention to detail, checked on by Alon during the install, was very good. I had them install 450 ft of vinyl and this is how professional they are: 1. Installed BEFORE kitchen went in causing scrapes that cannot be repaired without removing. 2. I appreciated the speed of this service, and the salesman was super helpful and responsive. Having said that, the actual carpet installer did some shortcuts, which left an uneven carpet. When we called Flooring Pro back they basically said that they couldn't fix it!!! It would take them about 45 minutes to fix their mistake, but instead we have to go to Home Depot to buy some carpet cutting supplies and a saw for our kickboard. I loved how friendly they are, but I don't recommend the service. read more

So, we have experience interviewing and selecting vendors. During this time, we have encountered both good and bad service providers. Overall, I do not think it is possible there is a better flooring vendor in the LA/Ventura County area. In so many ways the working experience with Alon and his team was crazy good. We found Alon on Yelp and the many positive reviews made us comfortable that he should be someone to obtain a quote. Everything from the initial phone call to the first meeting was positive and confidence inspiring. It was clear that Alon has the knowledge, experience and team to complete our job in the short timeline needed. This included some complexities around a curved staircase and walls that needed an expert who could make vinyl planks work. Communications are a big part of a successful project. Keeping the client informed and up-to-date is another area that Alon excels. We texted continuously with respect to the demolition of the existing floor, pick-up of new materials, installation dates, changes to the work order, job pictures, sample idea images, etc. Phone calls and emails added to the high-quality communications. The final part of a successful project is the people who are onsite doing the actual work. Again, Flooring Pro has this part covered. Ulysses was our project lead. Like Alon, he has tons of experience and knowledge. Even more, he is easy to communicate with and genuinely cares about the quality of the finished project. We hired Flooring Pro to install floorboards in our studio condo and tiles in our bathroom in August of 2022. Long story short, we liked our Project Manager, but ultimately the first subcontractor who she hired to install our floors did a nightmare of a job and Flooring Pro did just enough to turn the disaster around. Our Project Manager assured us that the crew could begin and finish work on our unit while we were on vacation. While we were abroad, we received some updates from the Project Manager-- work was coming along, but we needed to order another pack of floor boards, the project would be wrapped up shortly after our return. At the time, none of this alarmed us and we appreciated the communication, but when we returned to check in on the unit, we were sorely disappointed. The unit was a mess and it was apparent that the project manager had not once dropped in in person to oversee the project: 1. The floorboards that were already installed were covered in flooring glue. For the first eight months after project completion, I had to get on my hands and knees to scrub the floors because there was still glue residue. The residue is only now almost fully lifted off. 2. Our furniture was left on the balcony without any covering, during a week when it was raining in Los Angeles. 3. Our work and standing desks appeared to have been used as cutting station, as the hydraulic standing desk was sawed through and cracked and the desk beneath it had scratches and saw dust on it. 4. Tiles fell over and dented the door of the new vanity in our bathroom. 5. Tools were left on hardwood floor without any padding beneath to protect the new floorboards. There were dents on floorboards throughout the unit that had to be replaced. 6. Fridge was unplugged and food spoiled. 7. We discovered glue stains on our bedding and clothes. Flooring Pro attempted to remedy the disaster by firing the subcontractor who originally worked on our unit and hiring a third-generation floorer. Additionally, they did not charge us for the additional pack of floorboards they claimed we needed, and I believe the Project Manager paid for our new bedsheets out of her own pocket. While we appreciated Flooring Pro's efforts to make us whole, it did not fully make up for the time and money spent replacing our damaged items nor the emotional energy of dealing with the debacle. It has taken a while to get over this feeling that we trusted them with our home and they miscarried that trust. read more

I moved into an apartment that had seriously outdated, badly damaged bamboo floors. I figured I could live with them for a while... until the smell of fresh paint subsided and I realized that the damage to the floors was from years of pet urine damage. The old flooring absolutely had to go, but I was on a budget because my landlord wasn't willing to assist with costs (that's another story). She went above and beyond the level of service I'd typically expect from a contractor to make a project like this convenient and even possible for me. We had water seeping under our old kitchen floor from a planter outside the house. It got to the point where we needed to replace the floor, which included several tricky curves. Jay came out and gave us a fair estimate. When we accepted the bid, he was able to get his crew, Jesus and Jorge, out here within a week (they needed time to order our choice of flooring). They were all knowledgeable, personable, efficient and clean. Their work was exemplary, except... when they removed the fridge (a very tight squeeze), they scratched the new floor. Jay immediately took responsibility, and the following week they came back, ripped up the damaged flooring and replaced it with new. No muss, no fuss, no argument. Alon (the owner) and his team were great. He came out to meet us on a Saturday not once, but twice! It was very apparent that we were just as important to him as a client with our tiny 600 sg ft condo as some massive apartment building. He made the process very easy and gave good advice on colors/styles We had a very tight timeframe to get the flooring installed between paint and movers and he was able to get it done, no problem. My criticism stands. Flooring Pro advertises "satisfaction guaranteed," but does not deliver. As I stated above, original floor was installed six years ago. Does Alon claim that his floors expire after a certain time? There was no customer damage to the flooring. Two seams opened and the manufacturer guarantees for 30 years that won't happen. Unfortunately Alon's original installation did not follow manufacturer's direction to level floor and so the manufacturer's guarantee is void. The responsibility is all on Flooring Pro to fix flaws it directly caused. read more
