Horrible customer service by the guys loading the tile on the truck and the lady in the front. They loaded the truck with more weight that what was agreed and had a horrible attitude when we told them to take it off the truck since it could damage the truck. A disappointing selection of vinyl plank flooring. After searching for help from a store sales assistant for about 10 minutes, being passed and ignored by several employees, I finally caught up with two male sales associates standing having a chat amongst themselves. I asked them whether the store had any further stock of vinyl options other than that displayed on the shop floor, as I was looking for a rigid product with at least 12 mil thickness. They looked at me as if I had half a brain and informed me patronizingly that vinyl isn't manufactured much thicker than 6 mil - "you need a laminate." As any contractor knows, that's a ridiculous statement: the higher end vinyl plank products routinely go up to 20 mil, even 30. The staff here are clearly uninformed, to say the least, and certainly unhelpful. I left baffled as to why this store was t more interested in making a sale. Onward, to the excellent ProSource showroom 15 minutes away! read more

I went to gather some wood flooring samples which are only about 10inches long by 4 or 5 inches wide. I picked up about 15 or so samples as we just aren't sure which colors we like in our house yet. I went to check out and after the lady rang me up, she informed me that they didn't have a bag or box for me to carry these samples in and then turned to help the next customer leaving me alone to stack and balance the samples out to my car-- no help, no offer, nothing. On my way out, I dropped the samples everywhere and 2 other customers walking in stopped to help but the other 3 employees nearby stood and watched. I just thought the customer service was terrible. read more

Bottom line, they screwed up our rehab, they sold us a product they didn't even have, they didn't tell us until we went to pick them up, then they apologized and tried to sell us on other items and types of install that we didn't want and couldn't afford. When we dug deeper into their product and installer, we learned that they were unable to warranty their work. In the end, they couldn't compensate us unless we ended up buying again from them (just comping upgrade) which wasn't an option so we were left to fend for ourselves and make up for the timing loss by paying out of our pocket. Major bummer. A word of advise, if its not in stock don't order it from them. Full story: We're in the middle of a full remodel and ordered some beautiful floors after working with a salesman for about an hour. We went over every detail before choosing and then paid over $4k for the floors. We got a receipt and order confirmation, we were told we would have our floors ready for pick up in 2 weeks. Two and a half weeks later, our installer goes to pick it up, no floors there. They had discontinued the floor without telling us. Our whole rehab time frame was messed up, and this put us in a time crunch for move in, we had no option but to scramble for a replacement. Floor and decor offered us some other floors but none of them were what we were looking for or close to what we ordered without changing install etc. They then started adding lots of caveats about how to install and what their opinion was on how to install and keep the floors that we're at the time non existent. They recommended an installer and a floor that they couldn't warranty due to the conditions in AZ. They did apologize a lot and offer us a credit, but when we mentioned that none of their other options worked for us; the credit then needed "upper management approval".... which to this day I still haven't heard back about. read more

I love that they don't work on commission. I had 3 people from the pro desk helping me finalize the plans I had made. Edward called around to the different stores in the valley so I wouldn't have to wait for enough of one lot to be shipped and that we could get our project moving along. It was super helpful 3/27/17 I drove across town to round up the tile I had purchased so I could finish up my bathroom, Tempe pick up was easy no hassle. Went to Glendale location the next morning (a 2 hr round trip drive from my house) and they said they had only visually verified 6 boxed even though I purchased 9 from that location. Now I don't know what to do so they called and said the camelback store I had purchased all this from actually had 3, so I had to go to the front return and repurchase the 3 boxes I was short then pick up at camelback where I had started. Drove over to camelback to pick them up and they only had 1! By now my 18 month old is cranky from driving around and I am too. When Glendale called camelback this morning "Anthony verified" but when I got to camelback they said Anthony wasn't even scheduled to work that day. So now they ordered it in from California and I hope it comes in time so I don't have to reschedule my installer. I thought it was so nice for Edward to call so I could pick it up asap because it was worth the hassle of driving. But I drove all over town for nothing. I was gone from 9am to 1pm trying to round up this 1 tile in addition to the time I spent yesterday driving to Tempe and still don't have it. They said I locked down that tile by paying for it, but twice I have paid for tile that was "verified" that wasn't actually in stock read more

Most associates diligently wear a mask and wear it properly. This morning, I had to return some tile. The woman at the return desk had a mask loosely on her face with her upper lip and nose exposed. She had been running around helping customers, all the while, improperly masked. When she started helping me, I politely asked her to pull her mask up and cover her nose. She tapped on plexiglass and said, that's why we have these. I asked again and she rolled her eyes and did not pull the mask up. It only takes one person, with silent Covid to give it to many. I don't know why this store tolerates such behavior. I do not feel safe at this store and will now give my business to The Tile Shop. UPDATE. The manager called and said they seriously follow masking policies and apologized for my experience. I have not been back since but would go if I needed more tile. I appreciate the responsiveness of the management. I cannot give them more than 4 however because of my initial experience. read more

I had two absolutely wonderful sessions with Roy who made this previously nightmarish experience of having to choose new things (flooring paint countertops tile etc etc etc) during a house remodel a really pleasurable experience. Who knew it could be so much fun? Some of the things he pulled out had me shaking my head at first and within minutes I realized they were perfect. Cannot recommend this highly enough! read more

This is a competitively priced flooring store with a broader selection of goods than say, Home Depo. There are plenty of salespeople roaming the floors who ask, "Can I help you?" rather than having to run around and find help. I would say the floor sales people need to be commended. It will keep me returning. My only suggestion is related to the cashier checkout where in one area an older woman was clearly not working while the other employees were hurried, and the credit card machine, that doesn't take a chip, jammed when I placed my card in the slot (that should be covered and dolly noted). It then took a very long time for the register to reboot. However, I have been in and out of this store many times and find the majority of the staff to be very customer service focused!! read more

I want to say what an excellent experience we have had at Floor and Décor, particularly the Phoenix store. We have been to 5 Floor and Décor stores now (more on why later) and we think the Phoenix store is the best. In particular, I want to mention Tim who provided excellent assistance. He was patient, knowledgeable and very helpful. He has an excellent understanding of the products and customer service. He is future management material (Floor and Décor take notice!!). I also want to mention Gustavo, who took one of our phone calls and took the time to double check that the items we wanted were actually in the store. And also Mike, who helped us make sure we got the right amounts and types of tile adhesive and grout. As I mentioned, we have been to 5 stores, all four in Arizona (including Tucson) and one in Colorado (Forest Highlands). With the exception of the Tempe store, we have received excellent and helpful service in all of the stores. The problem with Tempe is that they seem to be too busy all the time. I called three times to ask about inventory, and was put on hold for 20 minutes at a time. When I mentioned this, I was dismissively told that they were busy, so I guess that meant "tough luck, pal, we will get to you when we get to you." When I called the other stores, I got prompt and efficient help each time. So, you might ask, why was I calling the stores so many times? It's because of a particular aspect of the Floor and Décor service model. If you are going to buy from them, and I certainly recommend that you do, you need to know that there is a very big price difference between buying something that they have on the floor in the store, and the same item if you have to order it to be delivered, whether it is delivered to your home, job site or to the store. That's because you pay a pretty stiff delivery charge for anything that is not in the store. We did not want to spend an additional 40% (in one case) in delivery charges to get the quantity of product we wanted, so we called to locate the available amounts in all of the local stores. As I mentioned, with the exception o the Tempe store, we were always able to get prompt answers to our telephone calls, and they were able to check the inventory of their other stores with no problem. This issue arises because some items (not all) are in limited supply at the stores, and for us at least, it seemed as though many of the items we wanted were discontinued items that would not be restocked. The solution is to find the available product in your local stores and then go online to purchase it. You do that by making each store with available product your "local store." That allows you to buy the product it has so you are sure to get it. You need to do this multiple times if you need it from multiple locations. The good news is that the store will keep it for you for 14 days without imposing a storage charge. As I mentioned, we checked 5 stores and had to visit 4 of them (including Colorado) to get the full order. Now, you may think we are crazy to drive to Colorado to get flooring, but it happened we were going there anyway for other reasons, so we just lucked out that the Colorado store had what we needed. But the point is, be careful about being sure you can get the full amount of product that you need, because some of the items are in limited supply, particularly if you want to avoid the shipping charges. Anyway, despite having to do some driving, we are very pleased with the product selection, prices and service we received at Floor and Décor, and we think you will be, too. read more

I had the best service I've ever had, by a designer named Marissa. Everytime I've been to this store (and it's been 4 times in the last month as we're doing a complete remodel) we've been offered assistance, even by a manager. But this particular occasion rivaled them all, and I felt compelled me to write a review. Marissa was also a paint professional and took care of all our paint color needs. She was as knowledgeable as any decorator I've paid hundreds of dollars for their services. Marissa was very quick, had helped us colorize our entire home in about 40 mins. Much to my surprise, we were also told we could make an appointment to see any of their designers. Oh yes Marissa, I will be making an appointment and I look forward to seeing you soon. K read more

You get to pick through the material and make sure you get a good color match, tile match... Selection is good, huge store. You can buy extra and return tile after your project. Like a big box store, good help can be hard to find, but it is better than total self service. I wish they had more higher quality travertine, not just the cheaper imported, high fill stuff. The big advantage here is selection, the ability to pick through and select individual tiles, and then return the overage. A good store and resource. read more

The employees at this store are wonderful. Great customer service. I wish I had noted the names of everyone who helped us so I could give each of them the recognition they deserve. From the manager of the travertine flooring department who pointed us directly to what we were looking for from my sketchy description and patiently answered all our questions to Luis, who was walking in from the parking lot and saw us loading our car. He did not ask if we needed help, he just jumped in and lifted the heavy tiles until they were all loaded. And while I stood waiting for my husband to move our truck at least three employees stopped me to ask if I needed any help. Good job training your employees, Floor & Décor. The multiple stores in Phoenix are good for a flooring contractor like me but your new policies mean that I will be taking my business elsewhere. 1. If your inventory is not enough to meet my job requirements I refuse to drive around town to multiple stores to pick up material. It probably also means dye lots may not match and in quality homes my clients and GC's will simply not let that happen. You get a failing grade for that policy change. 2. Pay freight to aggregate the orders. I do not have to pay freight at competitors to aggregate orders and I will not at F & D. I will simply request my designers and GC's to specify other materials unless they want to pay additional freight charges and I already know the answer to that question. Your new policies basically communicate to professional contractors you don't want our business because homeowners typically are not educated well enough to see these differences. read more

The store is literally incredible... Started shopping here when I got into investing about a year and a half ago and will now no longer go to any other flooring store. They have the absolute best customer service, the best selection/ prices and just an overall positive vibe. The people I work with in particular that have made F&D my go-to-shop are: Robin, Theresa, Edward and Deb. I refuse to finalize any flooring, bathroom, counter or stone decision without running it by Robin.. His knowledge gives me the confidence to make design choices I would normally not feel comfortable doing.. they all turn out amazing. Theresa and Edward knock pro desk out of the park. They're on top of their stuff, easy to communicate with and problem solvers. Deb is also an amazing designer, I normally end up working with Robin but Deb was the person who first offered me design services when I was new to the store!! Deb is always still there to help me if she sees me in the store and if I don't need any help, I can always count on a warm welcome from her! I always live to come to this store. All the staff has been friendly and helpful. My last visit was very good because Roy Bracamonte helped me along with a Stone specialist. They both were informative and advisory in offering good and economical options for the material for my seating area of an outdoor fireplace. Roy with his artistic background also recommended the colors to compliment the stucco of the fireplace. After providing a detailed explanation of my project, the staff sold me a tile cutter that would not cut the size of tile that they sold to me. The cutter ended up chipping about 30% of the tiles. At first I thought the blade had gotten dull so I replaced it. I still had issues. Finally, I realized that the tile cutter they sold me was not only a very poor quality cutter but could not be configured to properly cut larger tiles. I went to Home Depot and bought a much better tile cutter and the rest of the tiles cut perfectly. When attempting to return the tile cutter to Floor & Décor they told me it had been used and not returned within 30 days so even though this was the machine their staff told me to buy they would do nothing at all to make it right. In fact one staff member simply stated that he was not empowered to do anything for me. Floor and Décor is like the McDonalds of flooring. I will not trust the advice of such an inexperienced staff again. It was foolish to trust them in the first place. The average age there is around 20 so just how much experience can these children have at anything? From now on I trust the advice of those who have done a project with their own hands. read more

If you're going to return anything to this store I'd request a manager straight away. The attendant at the counter was very quick to deny my return today and said my item was missing a piece of tape. I didn't understand what she was referring to and asked to see what that may have looked like on a new package, but instead she called for what I imagine to be an assistant manager to inspect my item. He reversed her original decision and I did receive the return. My concern would be her abrupt non customer service orientated response and not willing to obtain another item to show me what she was referencing that was missing. The management, designing and check-out staff at the Phoenix Floor & Decor is, beyond question, one of the finest retail commercial establishments I've worked with in recent memory. I LOVE this store - and with remodeling my retirement condo, in AZ & my daughter's new starter home, in UT - I have spent a lot of time reviewing, then purchasing a great range of product here. From ceramic porcelain tiles, to water-resistant laminate, to new kitchen backsplash, to new bathroom/shower mosaics, tiling, quartz countertop, glass bowl sink, glass decoratives, specialized grout - they helped me navigate through it all. And, I'm a complete newbie to this remodel/redesign do-it-yourself movement. Everything has turned out beautifully in each home - thanks to my F&D designer Robin guiding me through all the variations on a theme. He was the best..and knowing I had to head out of state the next day, with a UHaul, stayed overtime to make sure I had every needed product for the out-of-state home project. The best long-term investment while realizing a long-dreamed visual. Massive store filled with high-quality product at amazingly low prices (compared to the "usual" snobby stone & tile stores I visited in Scottsdale). Some of the product I reviewed in Phoenix, I ordered for pickup up in the newest Floor & Decor stores, in UT. SO easily done with the help of supervisor Angela (who REALLY knows her stuff & was incredibly helpful in the sometimes tricky state-to-state, store-to-store transactions). Associates Joanna, Rachelle and others at the register handled the layers of product I carted out week after week, along with Chris (and others) who busted their backs loading it into my SUV. AMAZING customer support and service. Had a bathroom remodel go sideways with my contractor. Found myself months later with a huge pile of unused tile. I loaded it up and took it in. Friendly Guys met me at the door and help me unload it. The manager very kindly inspected it and took it as a return outside of the return window since they still carried it in stock. Wow.
