This was my second service call with Kurt's and unfortunately, he fell flat on his face! I scheduled another pump out on my mother-in-law unit with Kurt's, as he handled my previous problem so well. I gave him the option of picking the date and time, so as to fit his calendar and 7/25 in the mid to late morning was HIS choice...Perfect! Support local business. My Tuesday morning appointment came and went but without Kurt's. No phone call, message , nothing! Straight up NO SHOW! Early afternoon came and progressed into late afternoon and then, just before 4PM and 6 hours late, he did call to say "he wasn't coming. I'll try and re-schedule you in a couple of weeks." Kurt further said "I couldn't come out for your service today anyway since he had to empty my truck before 3PM. Kurt could have called earlier with "Sorry, this afternoon for sure, maybe later, just really backed up" or how about just a simple "cant' make it," but instead he simply pissed away my entire day, knowing he was overbooked and would not be keeping his own appointment A simple phone call early in the day would have saved all this grief...certainly NOT my definition of a Prompt, Reliable or Premier service. Kurt is a busy man and he clearly has far more business than he can handle. I do wish him success and a bright future but keep all this in mind if you're really looking for a reliable Septic Pumping/Service.

My husband called them after hours and they got back to him first thing in the morning. We had an appointment this evening, which was far sooner than I expected. Michael and Dallas showed up already beat from a long day, but were friendly and very respectful of our property. While they took care of pumping out the tank, cleaning the filter and clearing the baffle, they took the time to explain to me what they were doing, why they were doing it, and showed me how to care for the system between regular service. They put up with me standing out there asking questions and were as gracious as they could be. They're also both incredibly hard workers who manage their time perfectly. 1000% I will be calling them for my regular service and recommending them to my friends and family. Not only were they timely, their prices do not break the bank.

I contacted hemleys during October 27th for a full septic tank that appeared to be failing. On Oct…read more27th they came out replaced a burned out pump and stated there was drawdown issues on our lateral lines. The 29th they came out again to try and diagnose/fix the issue. Eventually while we were at work they left, I got no phone call or communication and the massive hole in our yard filled back in destroying the landscape. I eventually reached someone by phone requesting an update, thinking our septic was resolved. One of the tehcs told us our DRAINFIELD has failed and they tried a temporary fix, but until it can be rectified pooling will occur in the yard if too much water used in the home. I was told on the phone by the tech that unfortunately this could be close to a 30k fix and it was left at that, with no guidance on what to do or where to go. I paid my bills right away to hemleys that week for the work they did complete. This process ended up taking Nov until February to rectify due to the misdiagnosis from hemleys. I had to pay $5000 to a drainfield designer pay numerous fees to the County for inspection which all took time. Meanwhile we had pooling in our yard and could not fully use our water and appliances in a house hold of 4. A massive 8ft by 8ft deep hole was in the center of our backyard all this time from testing by designer and county. Eventually, I found a very reputable septic company to complete the design work from the designer. Within hrs of the septic company starting the job and doing some basic diligence they discovered 2 of the 4 lines had valves closed/broken and that was all that needed to be replaced. Fortunately, this company was honest and came forward with the information. However, hemleys cost my family nearly 8k in unnecessary work hiring a designer, other fees all due to this misdiagnosed failing drain field. On April 22, 2026 I respectfully asked for a manager or owner of Hemleys to discuss this issue. I was told to provide the documents from the last company and they reviewed county records. I supplied this within minutes. I then never received a single phone call or update as I called daily until 4/30/26. I was consistently told the owner and or manager are not available on several days. And then the manager after 2 days of that stated the owner has not reviewed this yet. This was an extreme inconvenience to our household and costly due to the negligence that made for several months of an inoperable septic tank when this issue could have been resolved in a few hours like our newly hired company completed. At this time we have been blown off by this company we had used and recommended for years. Based on the data and information we have we will continue escalating this in the necessary manner legally as we have the emails sent to our designer from Hemleys supporting them diagnosing failing drain field, that in fact was no where near failing.

Stopping the blaring was not easy (because the malfunctioning alarm off switch, a mislabeled electrical panel, and more. Anyway, in the morning hubby called the septic company that most recently pumped our tank two years ago and was told about the diagnosis service charge and that they'd probably need a $600 pumping before they could work. And if they diagnose electrical (like pump or the alarm box), they need to call the electricians who'd have another service charge... in the meantime, I searched online and saw the rave reviews for Kitsap Septic. So, I called and was told it sounded like electrical issues (pump, floats, and the alarm box) and that it's doubtful our tank needs pumping! I was told to call Aquarius pump and they'll prob use a sump pump and then take care of things quickly, correctly, and at a reasonable price. (And if the tank does need pumping, they'll call him.) It all went exactly as expected. Aquarius Pump came e as to the next morning and got it working enough to use the plumbing, but said to fix it properly, he'd need to return to replace the pump and alarm box. In another couple of days, it was just a memory. Except we now have a fantastically honest and highly regarded Septic service who I feel about recommending!!!

During our first septic emergency in over 20 years of using Dano's, we felt we'd called a service company that has forgotten that getting their customers back on line in an emergency is their #1 job. It took an emergency and some quick review reading online to find a small, independent company to show us real customer service! Dano's explained on the call the costs we'd incur from the $250+ service fee, hourly repair cost, $600 pumping charge on a tank they pumped 2years ago necessary for diagnosis, and the possible need for them to call in the electrician with another service fee, etc before anyone fixed anything. Confident we had an electrical issue if not 3 different ones, we called a highly 5-star reviewed guy who listened to our issues, diagnosed the probable root of the problems, and told us to call Aquarius Pump directly, adding that they'd prob use a sump pump and if in fact the tank needs pumping they'd call him. Easy-peasy. The next morning Aquarius had us able to use the system, but not fully fixed, and a couple days later with the new pump, floats, and alarm box, the emergency was over. No evidence of repairs to the lawn, and we knew who to call in the future, and recommend to others... and it won't be Dano's! PS The name I highly recommend is easy to remember if you live in KITSAP county and are looking for a SEPTIC company, lol.

Mike came out and quickly determined that the problem was with the plastic zip ties securing our septic floats. He replaced the plastic ties with metal ones so we shouldn't have the same problem again. What impressed me most was how Mike handled the entire situation. He has over 20 years of experience, was extremely knowledgeable, professional and straightforward, and took the time to explain what was happening rather than trying to turn a relatively simple problem into an expensive service call. And then came the biggest surprise: Economy Septic charged us nothing for the visit or the repair. That kind of service is increasingly difficult to find. They could easily have charged us a service-call fee, and we would have expected to pay it. Instead, Mike simply identified the problem, fixed it properly and took care of us. Economy Septic is a family-run business, and our experience reflected exactly what you hope to get from a local company--knowledge, experience, professionalism, fairness and integrity. After this experience, Economy Septic will be the company we call for our septic needs going forward. I would highly recommend Mike and Economy Septic to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and trustworthy septic company.

Holly Nuckels answered the phone and immediately instilled confidence with a line of questioning and suggestions that demonstrated a profound understanding of septic technology and process. She promised to take on my project immediately and see everything through to completion. She and Brent were on site within a day and all my cares and worries evaporated! Naturally I expected a lot of disruption to the landscaping, but was amazed at the care the crew took to try to preserve any established planting in the impacted area and to carefully remove all debris and level and tidy up the site in preparation for my landscape restoration. They do not provide an itemized breakdown of charges before or after the service to help clarify what you paid for. The receipt showed one bundled flat rate of $760 for three items and service. In total, I was charged $800 for replacing a flapper, flush valve, and fill valve for my toilet. Alone, these three products cost around $50. The length of the repair/service was less than 45-minutes. While I appreciated the same-day service, 1-year warranty, and customer courtesy of the technician, the corporate overhead charges for under an hour of labor and less than $50 in retail parts are predatory and equate to an astronomical hourly rate. Even the technician told me I could fix this problem on my own and demonstrated how to fix it in the future. I have been a loyal customer with Robinson Plumbing and wanted to use them as a reputable local brand. I trusted the technician's expertise in a stressful moment, but looking into standard plumbing rates following the estimate, it is clear they have thrived on a lack of transparency with customers and overcharged people for 40 years (a reputable plumber the manager told me). The manager offered me a 5% discount for my troubles, which would have amounted to $40 off my $800 bill. I appreciated the gesture, but felt it was insulting and did not fairly resolve my concerns as a loyal customer. Robinson's secretive bundled pricing, extremely high inflation, and stubborn manager make it impossible for me to recommend their company to neighbors, friends, colleagues, or my family.
