My Tuesday morning appointment came and went but without Kurt's. No phone call, message , nothing! Straight up NO SHOW! Early afternoon came and progressed into late afternoon and then, just before 4PM and 6 hours late, he did call to say "he wasn't coming. I'll try and re-schedule you in a couple of weeks." Kurt further said "I couldn't come out for your service today anyway since he had to empty my truck before 3PM. Kurt could have called earlier with "Sorry, this afternoon for sure, maybe later, just really backed up" or how about just a simple "cant' make it," but instead he simply pissed away my entire day, knowing he was overbooked and would not be keeping his own appointment A simple phone call early in the day would have saved all this grief...certainly NOT my definition of a Prompt, Reliable or Premier service. Kurt is a busy man and he clearly has far more business than he can handle. I do wish him success and a bright future but keep all this in mind if you're really looking for a reliable Septic Pumping/Service.

But then, within the hour, they figured out a way to get the last of their guys who was still out in the field over to my place for a diagnosis. Guy was here in under an hour. What's more, to make sure everything was well and truly addressed, the boss himself stopped by on his way to a birthday party to offer a little oversight, hands-on assistance, and some on-the-job staff training. Sterling ended up pumping my tanks, which was fine, but there was no charge for the extra service call, which was even better, and everything was resolved by 6:00 PM. These folks could have easily said, sorry, can't do anything until Monday, and I would have understood. Instead, they went the extra mile for a good customer - and now they've ensured that they'll keep that customer for many years to come. That's the way to do business and I thought you Yelpers would want to know.

Monthly! I had no idea, so I hadn't done it. And my toilets had stopped working. Frank explained the system brillantly, he made sure I understood fully and he was so cheerful about the whole thing. He cleaned and pumped the tank, made sure all systems were a go inside the house and really went above and beyond to make sure the problem was solved and that I knew how to prevent it moving forward. Saturday I received a call to confirm for Monday morning. After waiting all morning with no technician and no phone call, I called to find out what was going on, and was assured the technician was still scheduled to come, and would call when he was on his way (as had been the plan all along). By 2pm still no technician and no phone call. I phoned and canceled. This is atrocious customer service. Simple courtesy would dictate that as soon as it was known that the technician was running late, I should have been notified. Unacceptable.

During our first septic emergency in over 20 years of using Dano's, we felt we'd called a service company that has forgotten that getting their customers back on line in an emergency is their #1 job. It took an emergency and some quick review reading online to find a small, independent company to show us real customer service! Dano's explained on the call the costs we'd incur from the $250+ service fee, hourly repair cost, $600 pumping charge on a tank they pumped 2years ago necessary for diagnosis, and the possible need for them to call in the electrician with another service fee, etc before anyone fixed anything. Confident we had an electrical issue if not 3 different ones, we called a highly 5-star reviewed guy who listened to our issues, diagnosed the probable root of the problems, and told us to call Aquarius Pump directly, adding that they'd prob use a sump pump and if in fact the tank needs pumping they'd call him. Easy-peasy. The next morning Aquarius had us able to use the system, but not fully fixed, and a couple days later with the new pump, floats, and alarm box, the emergency was over. No evidence of repairs to the lawn, and we knew who to call in the future, and recommend to others... and it won't be Dano's! PS The name I highly recommend is easy to remember if you live in KITSAP county and are looking for a SEPTIC company, lol.
