Float pods are in a clean and private room.

Shower off and relax in the dark pod. My one hour float left me more relaxed than I can ever remember feeling. I also booked the contrast therapy. The infrared sauna was great because it didn't have the steam that often makes me feel uncomfortable. I was afraid of the ice bath and it was certainly a rush that takes some getting used to, but it gave me an adrenaline rush that was hard to beat. End on the sauna at the end of the day or with the ice in the start of the day.

My boyfriend booked a surprise float for us to celebrate my birthday. This was such an amazing and relaxing experience. Not only did we do a 60 minute float session, we did a 60 minute contrast session with an infrared sauna and cold plunge experience. I'm not a fan of water so I was a little anxious about the float, but the staff explained everything in detail and made me feel at ease. There are signs posted in each room explaining what to do step by step incase you forget the information the staff share. Each float room is private so it allows for some quiet and relaxation time. The sauna experience is equipped for 2 people. The facility was very clean. The one thing that didn't work for me were the robes, I am a bigger girl so the robe didn't fit, but that wasn't a huge deal. If you are on the bigger side then I would suggest bringing your own robe if you're doing more than just the float or sauna session. The restroom is equipped with a space to get dressed. They had toiletries available if you don't bring them (pads, tampons, makeup remover, lotion, hair-ties, contact solution and cases, etc.). Definitely going to be making float Seattle part of my self care routine.

Bring a good shampoo and conditioner

Im rating it low because it did nothing for me. It wasn't soothing. The time went by fast. It was just floating in salt water. And if you got some in your mouth it tastes like poison. Maybe it benefits some people. I went in a party of 3 and we all thought it was silly, and agreed we wouldn't return. Make sure to bring your own shampoo and conditioner, the ones they provide were hotel style. The towels were kind of rough. I opted to play my own music, either I did something wrong or the volume was just extremely low. I couldn't get it to turn up. The establishment was clean and orderly. The staff were polite.

I've been here 4 times now and purchased more visits to use in the future. Sensory deprivation is something that sounded TERRIFYING to be as I am incredibly claustrophobic. My first visit to a float therapy place (not this one) was also in one of these pods, I took all the precautions, I kept the light on, I had music playing and I kept the pod "cracked" so I didn't feel as scared. I had a really hard time relaxing the first time - I think it was just all of the unknown. Today I went for my 4th visit at Float Seattle and now I am able to keep all the lights off and even the pod entirely closed, I even fell asleep today, it was SO relaxing and refreshing!!!! The pod is much bigger than it looks so I really don't get the claustrophobia that I thought I would. I want to do it every day hahaha! I suffer from some chronic lower back pain and bought a massage chair for my house to help when the pain gets really bad, I've also been told to try inversion tables - which I am really not interested in. Float therapy has been a godsend for my lower back pain. 1 hour in here has my back feeling amazing for a month before I start to feel it coming back again. I drank the kool-aide, I love float Seattle!

Wow!!! I love this place! I wish I was rich so I can always pamper myself! I can see why people go here because it really helps your muscles and you can relax. I was having pain with my lower back and sciatic nerve and as soon as I got out of there, I was relieved of pain. It's a nice quick fix. The epsom salt truly helps. The employee gave me the low down on my first visit. The pod has 1000 pounds of salt added and you completely float. I even fell asleep the second time I went which was great cause I'm not the type to relax for an hour. If you're claustrophobic you might not like it cause you're enclosed in the pod. It's nice and relaxing and you can listen to music if you would like. When the lid is closed you can turn the lights off and turn the star option on. I truly enjoy going. They have showers that you use inside the room before and after. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. You can even relax in the reception area after your soak if you're so inclined. My massage therapist recommended this and I'm glad I tried it out.

This is located in the first floor of an apartment complex in Bellevue - the lobby is clean and the staff person I worked with was friendly and knowledgeable. Each float tank is in a clean, private, lockable room with a shower and towels and ear plugs - everything you need. The float tank experience itself is pretty cool - after showering you get in the tank, which is about ten inches of water with a whole bunch of epsom salt in it. The water and the air are the same temperature as the human body so it's a bit hard to distinguish between you and the environment after a bit. You can close the tank and turn off the light for a complete sensory deprivation experience, or try any combo to your comfort level. Being able to float provides great stretches and opportunities for meditation. I thought it would be hard to figure get through an hour of doing nothing - but it goes fast! The tank plays music to let you know the experience is over (for now). Afterwards I felt like I had a great massage. Go!

The facility feels very new and clean and the staff are super helpful. Even before booking my first appointment , the text chat was super responsive in answering my questions. Online scheduling is also a huge plus and very easy. The sauna is infrared, which is disclosed and does fine even if not my preference and it's a little difficult not to get water everywhere with the way the shower and tub are set up. Those would be my nitpicky complaints and overall, it's very well worth it especially since you can have a second person for only $20 and the time slot isn't shared/community. They also seem to have deals throughout the year, so that makes it even better. Overall, pleased with this place and can definitely see coming back again when I'm in the area!

I've been interested in sensory deprivation tanks, live…read moreclose to this location, and they had an affordable offer for first time visitors so I decided to book an appointment for a 4 PM on a Saturday! I arrived around 3:45 as was requested when I made my appointment. The person working at the front desk checked me in, and went to check if my room was ready, which it was. I was given a brief tour of the lobby area, which had the lounge and an area with beverages to consume as wanted. We went immediately to my room, which was extremely clean. I was given a brief intro on how to use the sensory deprivation room, and the employee also pointed out where everything was written in case I missed something! Everything needed was there. They provide ear plugs, and several towels, and instruct you to wear the ear plugs, take a shower and clean yourself with neutral temperature water, and no hair conditioner. Afterwards, I completely dried my face (to reduce the risk of touching your face once in the tank), and they provided packets of petroleum jelly to place on any cuts so they don't burn with the salt. After prepping, I got in the tank, which was quite spacious. I did initially take in a floatie to serve as a head pillow but ended up taking it off. There are two buttons in the tank that control the light, and music if you choose to connect your phone, which I did not but I think that's a great touch. They also provided a spray bottle of fresh water just in case you accidentally touch your eyes and needed to get salt out, and I was advised to bring in a small towel with me just to keep my face free from salt water. I turned off the lights, and floated for an hour which went by way faster than expected! At the end, music played to signal the end of the session, I turned on the lights, got out, and jumped in the shower. They provide scentless shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, along with an ear wash they highly suggest you use containing vinegar. After I dried and got dressed, I ended my session in the lounge with some of their complementary tea. It was a great experience and I'd love to do it again!

Now, 3 days later (the first day I had time to reach back out), he has changed his response. The new response no longer has the original offer of a credit. Instead, it's basically a lot of words to say that customer experience only matters if it's positive, something about how roller coasters don't give refunds if someone pukes, and the next staff training will include something about credits. My issue remains unresolved. Urban Float is a dishonest business that only cares about money. Buyer beware. Poor experience overall. Positives: -clean -nice staff -explained things well -places to dress, do hair, and skincare with good hairdryers at each station. Negative: My friend and I had our first floats 12/29. Including my pre and post float showers (5 minutes each), I was in my room MAYBE 20 minutes out of the 60 minutes I paid $99 for. I was in the actual pod less than 10 minutes due to uncontrollable nausea. I had no idea this would happen to me, but it's nobody's fault. The staff were polite enough to check on me, and get me water and tea to drink. I asked if the circumstances would allow for a credit (yes, a credit, not a refund) that my husband could use later, but was told by the manager that she can't. The best she 'could' do was 20% off. I wasted $80 to sit in a lobby. I realized after I left that their website says people who cancel within 12 hours of an appointment have to pay 50%. Yet someone who shows up on time and tries to participate only gets 20% off? It's unfortunate that y'all chose to waste an opportunity to turn a negative into a positive, and possibly gain some more loyal customers. Instead, neither myself nor my friend will be back. Sadly, she was also soured by my experience even though she enjoyed her float and Rex treatment. This is my 3rd time leaving a review, let's see if anyone actually follows up, or if Urban Float cares more about making money than "providing a clean, calm, and welcoming environment" as per their mission statement. I most certainly do not feel welcomed after this experience.

It popped up for me again while I was scrolling on Groupon, so I decided to get the two float package for both my partner and I and for my parents. I'm so glad I finally tried it out! I don't agree with some of the comments about the location, I found it to be very cozy and relaxing. For a first time experience, and as someone who really struggles with going to unfamiliar places, I found it to be perfect and not overwhelming. When I first arrived, the owner was not in the spa area but some paperwork to fill out was left on the desk. I actually really loved that because it gave me some time to settle into the environment and process everything before having to interact with anyone, which is huge for me. As a person with both Autism and ADHD (and I highly demanding job), I really struggle with overstimulation, nervous system dysregulation, adrenaline fatigue, and periods of severe burnout. My muscles are always very tense, about halfway through my body became very relaxed and I spent about 15 minutes just stretching and felt an incredible relief of tension like I've never experienced. I actually cried at one point because I didn't know it was possible for me to be able to relax like that. The sensory deprivation and having the opportunity to relax my body for the first time in a very long time is exactly what I needed before returning to work at the end of Winter break. Even as a first time float, I had such a great experience and came out feeling much more regulated and calm. I had really been struggling mentally and physically the last couple of months due to work, I feel like this really helped with regulating my nervous system. I'm going to try out the once a week for a month package in hopes that it will help with avoiding that level of burnout!
