After hearing about this place through friends, I really wanted to try one of their Indian pizzas. We went with the tandoori chicken pizza, and it was enough for 4 people. I really liked how tasty the pizza sauce was and the chicken was quite flavorful. I didn't think cheese would go with it, but it tasted really good. I wish there was more chicken on the pizza since it was on the pricier end. Overall, it was pretty good and we had ordered it online. The pizza was ready in about 15min. This place was found when traveling home and wanted a slice of, it said New York Pizza so I went 12 minutes out of my way and figured give it a try. When I walked in the smell of Indian cuisine was much stronger than anything resembling a pizzeria smell. The menu seemed about half pizza toppings that were Indian cuisine based on, this made me nervous but I proceeded anyway as reviews were good and I was here with pizza on my mind . I ordered a slice of cheese, meatballs and pep rolls with a bottle water total was 20.43 which is fair however I am not sure why the lunch special which says daily was not applied which is a drink and a slice for 4.99 but it was only a dollar difference. Waiting for food restraint is empty except myself and employees , no to go orders being made and strange for 1 pm in a Saturday. Started with pep rolls sauce for dipping was ice cold from the fridge they were slightly greasy and a standard roll like pictured or from a pizzeria Cheese slice somehow was well done but soggy , lacked sauce almost zero on it and no crust cheese went right to the end again nothing typical nyc about this . Meatballs decent flavor but can tell from consistency not made in house , sauce had a little acid to it almost sour , was best thing I had and was average at best. Please know you are not going to get what the website or pictures on menu or authentic New York pizza . All in all this place missed and should sell itself as something else . read more

5/5 service: was expecting a chain pizza, but is a mom and pop shop ran by an Indian family. Their slices are big as you get in NY, and price is reasonable for the JC-alpharetta area. They have a cool selection of Indian inspired pizzas I am hoping to check out in the future with friends. The flavors remind me of Can Am pizza, a chain of east Indian pizzerias in Washington. Also got an extra slice since they were closing. 3/5 pizza: I hate to be critical here, but the cheese pizza was average at best. It's hard to call it NYC style, sure it was thin crust, but the flop was too severe, not enough speckly on the bottom, and didn't have enough structural integrity. The pizza was heavy on the cheese, which was very oily. My biggest gripe was the tomato sauce was lacking, usually I expect a sweet or fragrant flavor, but theirs is surprisingly mild. I plan on coming here in the future and giving the Indian pies a fair shot, I think that's their true calling card. But if you're looking for an authentic NYC slice shop, I'd turn elsewhere. I came today for lunch. I work in the area I had a slice of pepperoni and a Miler Lite. The slice was delicious and they have Miler Lite and a few micro brews on tap served in an ice cold glass. They use the small pepperoni that cup up. I love that. The lady at the counter I think is the owner was very cool and knew a lady I work with. I ate at the bar. They have a nice small bar that had the NBA game on. I will be back. Two thumbs up. read more

We ordered takeout. The flavors were good. We ordered chicken and paneer pizza. Chicken pizza had a lot of jalapeños and was pretty spicy. Paneer was equally good. They had big bold text on their packaging asking not to microwave it and bake it instead, which I felt was very thoughtful. A lot of us already know baking is better but don't know the exact temperature. We did 450F as mentioned for 3-4 mins and it came out really crispy. This is definitely the place to go for Indian pizza. If you've never had it before, they have 3 flavors- butter chicken, samosa, and paneer. All 3 are terrific, and I'll usually pick what I'm craving that day. You can even split pizzas into 2 different flavors. The samosa is very spicy due to the chutney. We've also had the non-indian pizza and it was ok, but I'll stick to the Indian flavors due to the uniqueness and taste. read more

First timer at Flippin' Pizza. My son was next door picking up five guys and I wanted to try something new in this shopping plaza. Gave Flippin' Pizza a try! Upon walking in theres a definite smell of Indian food, this surprised me as the signage says New York pizza. I personally am not a big fan of Indian Cuisine/spices (and wondered for a moment if this was going to play into my pizza choice). I did see that they offer some Indian style pizzas, however clear indications were that they also offered traditional New York style pizza, so i went with that. Ordered 2 slices of New York pizza and a drink - about $10, pizza arrived fresh and I was excited to give it a try (my family loves pizza and we love to try new pizza places). It looked great! The slices were smaller than i expected, and unfortunately just as i expected I could taste Indian spices or something on the pizza. You can also smell it on the bottom of the pizza for sure. I assume as the pizza is cooked in the oven with other pizzas, any pizza would develop that flavor. My son tried it and never mentioned anything, he didn't pick up on the flavor, however I quickly did. If you love Indian food then this will be great! I think we found our new favorite pizza spot! We've been recommended this place by so many people for their Indian flavored pizza, and we had to try it out! I love that they let you do different flavors on each half! We got half samosa and half paneer tikka. They flavor is so amazing and authentic without loosing the pizza aspect. It was also pleasantly spicy! Usually the Indian pizza I've had are toned down, but both flavor had a good kick without being too spicy. I can't wait to come back and try the other flavors! One thing that could be improved was that it was a little too crispy, especially the crust, which was a bit hard to chew. Definitely will be coming back here! read more

Stopped into this pizza place for lunch while I was on my lunch break. I've eaten here about 5 times already prior to writing this review. Every time I've gone in, I've only ordered their pepperoni pizza and/ or their bbq chicken pizza. This time I wanted to try something completely different, so I asked the owner, Pooja, what she recommended outside of the typical American style pizzas. She immediately pointed me to their Samosa pizza and their Butter Chicken pizza which were both Indian inspired concoctions. I had no idea what they would taste like, however, my taste buds wanted something that they had never tasted before so I decided to order a slice of each. They have a deal which includes two slices of pizza and a drink which is $9.49 including tax. Let me tell you, I am SOOOOOO glad I took her up on her recommendations! These pizzas were deliciously mouth watering. When you bite into the Samosa pizza the first flavor your taste buds will experience is a delectable sweetness from the Tamarind sauce drizzled on top of the pizza! As you chew you start to feel a slight kick in the back of the throat from the heat of the cilantro chutney sauce, however, it is a subtle heat that only hits you toward the end! I typically don't eat indian food, because alot of it is spicy, however, this pizza was the perfect blend of sweetness and heat that makes your belly thank you for treating it right! Oh, did I mention that this pizza is a vegetarian pizza for all you healthy eaters out there! The Butter Chicken pizza is more of a curry based pizza. It is definitely more on the lighter side in my opinion. The butter chicken sauce that is mixed in tastes like, well, butter, with a milder, sweeter gravy flavor/ texture. It compliments the diced chicken and cilantro very well for a perfect light flavor! Personally, I thoroughly enjoyed the Samosa pizza more out of the two, but they were both very delicious and unique compared to the regular styled pizzas you can get anywhere. I will say that the only downside to this pizza shop is that they advertise that they sell "New York style" pizzas. Unfortunately, that is not so. The slices are not as big as a new york pizza slice and the pizza dough underneath is crispier compared to the real way a New York style pizza should be cooked. New York pizzas are known for being huge, cheap and the dough should not be crispy. The dough should flop down when you pick it up! Well, there is one more downside that I took into account. The price of their deals went up by more then a $1 since the last time I went in. The two slices and a drink deal used to be $7.29, however, now the price is $8.87 before tax. Not sure why they hiked the price up, but I do take that into consideration. Nonetheless, neither of these take away from the simple fact that this pizza location still makes some great tasting pizzas. I will definitely be adding this place into my lunch break rotation for Windward Parkway! Keep up the excellent work you guys! read more
