Meh, the only thing in common with Neopalitan pizza and this place is the Campagnia region namesake. Wood fired pizza is one of my favorite food groups and being new to the area, I was looking forward to this visit. The prior visit to the Alpharetta location for non pizza items was frankly disappointing. Hmm, the pizza is one of the most disappointing wf pizzas that I have experienced and this pie certainly is nothing like a pizza from Campania, Italy. Obviously, someone has $$$ to invest in this growing local chain. It is time to stop growth and find a new head of culinary operations to revamp and improve. The crust lacks the signature complex layers that should bubble up from the extreme heat. Maybe the kitchen crew forgot to crank the heat as the dough is bread like. As you can see, skimpy toppings and spices on my non cheese order. I was so excited that I ate a piece in my car before leaving the parking lot. It is even soggy when too hot to eat. Skip this place unless you are seeking Americanized dough tasteless pizza and other food items. read more

not service dog friendly!!!!! the server had the audacity to ask me "what service my service animal was fulfilling" basically-asking what ilness i have!!!!! against the law and totally ignorant!!! bit if you must know @@@ptsd@@@@ that aggravation was uncalled-for especially when we called agead for clearance spoke to "john". than the manager comes to the our table and informs me that the service animal cannot sit on the furniture!!! i guess my lap is considered furniture-now. we will not be back.....and neither will my many many friends who served. Additional : while I was walking two blocks to the car because there's no parking my wife spoke to "Chris" who claimed he was the manager, he could care less about how we were treated, no apology and stated that we were misinformed by his employee. Honestly a top favorite of ours. We've been twice now, and I've suggested it to several friends who have loved it. Get the prosciutto e bufala to start and thank me later. For one the olives and balsamic glaze are otherworldly compliments to the delicious bufala mozzarella and prosciutto. For being side stars to the main attraction on the plate they truly elevate the dish to the next level. I'm a huge fan of a good Caesar salad. The salad was crisp with a perfect tang to the Caesar dressing. Would suggest sharing if you're getting your own main dish as it is a decent size portion. I ordered the boscaiola pasta and it was amazing. I will say this not something that did well for leftovers so savor it while there. The truffle and mushrooms pair so well with the Parmesan and sausage. A very rich and delightful pasta that I will dream of. We also had a tartufo pizza which was delightful and so fresh. The dough is amazing. The panna cotta trio and limoncello cake were the perfect finale to the meal. Our favorite panna cotta was the caramel crunch one. Throughout the service was wonderful. Very nice and knowledgeable about the menu. Happy to answer our questions and even make wine recommendations. As it is a darker environment the photo lighting isn't the best so just trust when I say you just gotta stop in to try it. Lovely cozy spot with amazing food. read more

Had expectations this place would be good as we love the other location. In truth It's not a patch on the Campania on highway 9. It looks nice inside but it's a poor relation who learned to cook pizza on YouTube. Just take the extra few minutes and drive to the Alpharetta location. The Gluten free pizzas were like eating frisbees. 3/4 covered frisbees at that. A waitress said she would take care of it, which amounted to the kitchen telling her that "it's just the way they are". I really want Compania to succeed. I used to love their "artisan pizzas" but my latest take out order was so disappointing I am throwing in the towel. My last order (Milton location) was undercooked but I stuck with them and ordered again. So when the young lady taking the order says "it will be ready in 10 minutes" be afraid because it is going to be undercooked, which it was. The Salami Misti was probably one of the worst pizzas I have had in years. Soggy, limp, undercooked. $20 for a 12" soggy pizza. Why? It didn't use to be like this. The Mediterranean salad was good. Sorry Compania, but Vintage, Jet, Johnnys....there are just too many better pizza options. I'm done. So sad. read more

Our bartender saved them a star. Arrived for our first visit at around 1230P on Fathers Day. Even though they had been open for 30 minutes it was very disorganized. We were going to sit at the bar so we were spared 3 tables worth of patrons just standing by the door with no help having come there way for a good 3 or 4 mins. Ordered a margherita pizza which was lukewarm. Tasty, but scant basil (half the slices didn't have any at all), also had the Dante Panini. Delicious but again leaning toward cold. Those - along with 3 draught's and a mimosa brought our total to over $100. And that's with the draught's half off on Sundays. Regular draught beer price is a staggering $8 a pint !! Just too expensive for lukewarm food. And $8 a pint in insane. As always, I will give it a second try soon to see if it was just a bad day. Stay tuned. read more

Food is great but they have a non cash service charge of 4.3%. Buyer beware!!!!!! Totally fine just reverted back to the "real bill" and then gave a less than normal tip (15-20%). So in this case just made up for the nonsensical charge by cutting the tip. read more

The downtown Crabapple location of Campania has great pizza and a nice family friendly atmosphere. I've tried a few different pizzas, including the pepperoni and white mushroom pizza. All have been really good. I always get the Calabrian chiles as an additional topping, and I like that they chop them up for you. Some pizza places will just give you whole chiles. They also have a large patio. Since this is in downtown Crabapple, there is obviously a big family contingent here. Prices are also reasonable, and there is plenty of free parking behind the place. read more

We came here on a Saturday night without a reservation and it was packed. We got the last available table at the time for our party of 4 and it worked out great. The table was just to the right of the bar, but was not part of the bar. They also have a covered patio that seats quite a few as well. Our server was great and I liked that you could see the kitchen, including the pizza oven. There are a few TVs (not too many) playing sports. I got the Salame pizza for my meal and was not disappointed. It had spicy pepperoni, which was high quality and the cheese was just the right amount, not too little or too much, which can be the case with neopolitan pizzas. The margin of error is small. Someone in my party got the Della Casa salad and it looked great as well. Both the salad and the pizza were a nice large portion (especially the salad) and was enjoyed by all. read more

Normally, I love Campania, but I'm updating my review to reflect the take-out experience. Frankly, it sucks. First of all, there's no online ordering. When you call in, you can barely hear the person over the phone because the background noise is so obnoxiously loud. This also removes the ability and the desire to pay in advance. Second, I was told my order would be ready in 30 minutes. I get there in 25 minutes. My pizza is cold. Third, you can't just pick up your takeout order from the host. Instead, you go outside to the window at the bar. I got their attention within a minute, said she'd be right with me, then proceeded to leave me hanging there for 10 minutes while ringing up tabs, making drinks, etc. Finally realized she forgot and rang me up. Fourth, the boscaiola pasta sauce was poorly balanced. It was overly salted, overly meaty, and lacked enough sauce. I already mentioned my pizza was cold, and with this kind of pizza, cold means the crust is soggy. Yum. If you're comfortable with it, I would definitely recommend dining in over taking out at this place. read more

Visiting from Arizona. This place was OK, but probably not somewhere I would go back to. Ordered the Mediterranean salad, which for $15 was underwhelming, looked like it came from a bag. Yikes! Lettuce was not fresh and it just was meh. Pizza was good, we got the Sofia and the Spinaci one. A bit soggy but the crust was delicious and overall, we were pleased. For dessert, we got the hazelnut cake and limoncello cake. Again, just meh and tasted like they came from a package. They use Hersey syrup, so that right there says a lot about the quality. Also very small portions. Also suggest management check their staff for hygiene. We had a man bring us the salad who was dripping in sweat and it was really gross. Our main server was really sweet, so that was a positive. I wanted to love this place. I did! Reading the menu before hand I was like. Yes. This is going to be great. And it just was just ok. We were searching for a spot for our rehearsal and found this cute little italian/pizzeria. It's a big more casual than we wanted for a rehearsal dinner & emphasis on the pizzeria but everything was delicious! We got some of the bread app which is literally pizza dough with cheese... It was good but not something I'd do again. The menu tells you it's actually pizza dough so that's my bad but still tasted good! I had a chicken pizza, basically chicken parm on a pizza sans pasta. Really tasty! Not super heavy. Dough is excellent. My fiance had a pasta dish with mushrooms and cream sauce & I think sausage & his was incredibly delicious too. But the real star was the panna cotta trio. Drool worthy. Lick the spoon. Lick the bowl. Whatever you gotta do. This dessert killed it. Lemon flavor, caramel & nuts, sweet berries. It was so good! Had an amazing dinner at Campania with family last night! Pizza, pasta, calimari, Caesar salad, all were outstanding. Service was excellent, even manager came over to apologize for pizza missing the added mushrooms, and gave us the mistake to take home, AND comped the pizza also! Waitress extremely attentive and efficient, had a reservation and seated promptly on patio as requested. Significant Improvement from past visits, see previous review. Campania is a pizza and pasta restaurant in Milton and offers a wide variety of red and white pizza options. We were promptly seated and started with the garlic bread and marinara dip. It was essentially a garlic pita bread, not ideal. The salumi misti is the meat lovers pizza filled with a lot of cheese and meats---it had a nice spicy flavor but was a big soggy in a way. I prefer more crispy and the toppings not sliding off. The service was great, however, and our waitress was very attentive. read more

Campania never disappoints! Tried the Tartufo 19$ and it was absolutely wonderful! My usual go to is Spinaci E Carciofi- they're both fabulous! The nice thing is you can modify 1/2 meat etc for your dietary preferences. 1/2 a pizza is enough to split for 2. This location has an outside covered patio area which has a two sided bar (inside/out). Also, tried the espresso martini 14$ it was great! More variety and a guarantee from the owner over the phone that I was going to love it even more than 850° (what it used to be before it was sold). The pizza was great. We had the margarita, the arugula e prosciutto and the spaghetti Pomo door. Everything was great! The panini Napoletano was tasty but dry. Too much meat and not much fusing it together (provolone would have done the trick IMO). Dessert was Cannoli. We were going to see if Campania's was as good as 850° or better, as the owner claimed. It was good but not as good as 850's. The maraschino cherries in both ends made it sour and there was a chocolate chip overload. Therefore, I give Campania 4 out of 5 stars.. hoping the panini is not as dry and the cannoli is improved! Definitely coming back and I'm sure we'll be happy read more

And another one bites the crust! I have been a long time fan of Campania in Alpharetta. And by long time I mean since I moved here from south Florida a year and a half ago. For me - that feels like a "long time". Anywho - when we moved into our new home, the Alpharetta location seemed like it would no longer be feasible. I like eating pizza in my sweats without judging eyes, you know? I didn't think the pizza would survive the trip home. Low and behold, there is a Milton location which happens to be a bit closer. This seems to be Alpharetta's larger, brighter counter-part. The restaurant itself is much bigger than the other location and feels more like an upscale pub than it does a hole in the wall in Italy (like the Alpharetta location) which is totally not a dig, I happen to love those tiny home-y establishments. It's no matter to me - either work just fine. Hubs seems to prefer the Milton location, though. What matters to me, and pretty much the only thing that matters, are the pies. And boyyyyyyyyy did they not disappoint. I ordered online using slice. There is a $1 fee for the service, but it does not bother me. We prefer to order and pay online so the $1 fee when we buy $20 pies seems minuscule. Surprisingly, when we arrived the lot was full save for one spot. There is a Mexican place next door and I guess there is a lot of traffic for the lunch rush. At 1pm on Friday, I'm not sure why I expected it to be completely empty, but I did. The slice estimate for pickup was about 30 minutes, but our pies were done in 15. We were there early so as soon as they were done we were on our way. (Obligatory road slice on the way home, of course. I almost made it two today!) We ordered the following: Salame Pizza with Mushrooms ($18 + $2) Tartufo Pizza ($19) Spinaci E Carciofo ($19) The salame pie - oh my! I love this pepperoni curl. It is my favorite. And they are so generous with the toppings here it makes me so happy. On all of their pies, not just the salame one. The salame pizza is my fave and the spinaci e carciofo is a close close second. I hope I never have to choose and I will forever get both. The spinaci e carciofo is oh so satisfying. The balsamic and the goat cheese is perfect. So much tang and the pop of sweet. It is genius. The tartufo pizza is banging, too. This one is hubs' fave. If he never had anything else ever again he would he just fine. I really, really dig the tartufo pie, but the spinaci e carciofo and salame (add mushrooms ofc) are still my top 2. So happy (and relieved) to have tried this location. I'd be lying if I said I did not have any anxiety about this not living up to my love in Alpharetta. To my absolute satisfaction - Milton absolutely delivered (not literally remember we ordered pick-up). Now I know I can continue to get my faves whenever the craving arises. Unfortunately for my wallet (and waist) it is often. Yes, this pizza is pricey, but worth every single penny. I promise. It is my favorite pizza place in the metro Atlanta area. Campania on Highway 9 is a family favorite. It is our local go to and we LOVE it. We stopped into this location (which we had been watching and waiting to open) on an odd night. There was a water main issue causing chaos and many businesses were closed. Our server was a bit frazzled and after taking a while to get our drinks, they were wrong. However, she quickly re-covered and switched them out. Our pizza was a little soggy in the middle, but we know they were rushing to get fo out (in case they were forced to close from the water issue). With all that said, we loved the decor and expect to be back. I'd bet you a delicious pizza pie that we revisit and they move up to the full 5 star experience.
