Tasting and menu winter 2025

What a lovely afternoon visit to this farm and winery! We tried a couple options before choosing the hot mulled wine since it was 40 degrees outside. But the animals were out and the lights, seating, and music were all perfect for sitting and watching the vineyard hills. Perfect for a date or girls lunch!

So close, and I passed it hundreds of times. So glad I stopped by. Live music, horses, beautiful scenery and wine with light snacks, what's not to enjoy? I visited with Pure Barre Alpharetta that held a class on the grounds under the trees surrounding by the horses. So relaxing and beautiful. From the road, it doesn't look as expansive as it is. I'll be back for the various events they schedule. Staff offers to ride you down to the main grounds from the parking lot on the golf cart, if you don't wish to walk.

WINE DOWN AT PAINTED HORSE | it was a chilly day but we brought the pup to sip on some wine at the Painted Horse Winery. After trying a few wines at the bar, we got full pours of our favorites and headed to the outdoor heated/covered patio. The heaters weren't on at the time and it was a bit chilly and windy in the shade of the patio but we were thankfully able to hail someone down to help us light up the heaters. Outdoors is beautiful, although a bit packed while we were there so we were restrained to the patio. We also ordered a cheese board to munch on while we sipped. As we were leaving, we stumbled upon the barn and saw a donkey, horse and a goat. Overall, the wine was ok but the vibes were great. Definitely a great stop that's "closer" to the city without heading all the way to the North Georgia vineyards.

What a hidden gem in the suburbs of Milton GA. Attended a pop up yoga / Pilates and my first time to the venue which offers a beautiful scenery overlooking a nice lawn landscape with horses and vineyards while you enjoy the outdoor space which can be rented while enjoying music and private events. There were several varieties of wines offered along with charcuterie board and light snacks. Friendly staff casual relaxed atmosphere.

We had an excelled birthday celebration here at painted horse! We were able to get a table on the patio which was great because we were surprised with rain. You walk in and there is a selection of snacks and charcuterie trays you can order as self serve. They have wine slushes and I got a tropical wine slush that was delicious! We had such a good time I forgot that get photos! The owners stopped by our table and were so friendly and courteous and asked us if the music was too loud but it was perfect! All over an excellent time! For the record, I am not a huge wine fan so I played it safe with a rose that was delicious-I didn't try any others

Absolutely beautiful!!! Wine is good, atmosphere is spot on! They had music on the speakers and a band coming in as soon as we were leaving. I would recommend this place. I'm already planning a trip back

Painted Horse has delicious food / charcuterie cold and sweet tooth options! The selection of their menu pairs perfectly with the wines and ciders they have . You can tell they are a family dedicated to success! I absolutely love coming to this hidden gem in alpharetta! Jeff gave an amazing tour once i got to know the farming side ! People that do their best always shows ! I will always highly recommend

The painted horse had a very pretty venue, it is mainly outside on turf grass or on mulch. I do want to say be careful coming in heels because it is sloped down a hill, but it has a very cute seating area. It was a little close to animals for me and I could smell the horses while I drink my wine and I didn't necessarily love that, but it was still cool to look at them. I wish they had some more umbrellas or fans around the Area. I didn't love this place for the wine, I thought it was overpriced and not very good. The staff was nice and they offer free shuttles to and from the parking lot because the driveway is very long. The flight of white wine was not worth it for $25 but the live musician was great.

A friend and I was out for the day and decided to look to see if there was a winery in the area and came across this one. So glad we tried this place. it is now in our rotation of local wineries. It so cute. Its seems like a big family house that they turned part of it into a winery. They have a really nice backyard where you can sit and enjoy the outdoors and music , when they have it. The service was so good. We ordered at first inside and sat outside but there was someone out there taking orders too. They were on top of it and very knowledgeable.

This is a beautiful place. My boyfriend took me here for a date. The service is awesome I had the amazing opportunity to engage with Wendy and Mel who helped us pick the perfect wine. The food portions are very good for the price. They had live music and you're able to pet and interact with animals also. There's a lot of seating to choose from it's just overall an amazing place and we will be back.

This place is awesome- especially on a nice day. They also are tolerant of kids, which many wineries are not.

They boast an "Everything made from scratch" menu and they aren't kidding. Delicious apps and amazing entrées all up and down the menu. Per our server we decided on a nice red (Vin Velouté). So good I actually purchased a few bottle to take home. For starters the Crab-shrimp and lobster Bisque was just amazing. So creamy smooth and delicious. And the Gnocchi carbonara was just amazing, with that pancetta, chicken, sage, peas and parmesan garlic in a cream sauce. Just wow. Another hit of the table was the Ellie's Chicken Piccata. Tender chicken in a Lemon Butter and caper Sauce with Capellini Pasta and asparagus. Impeccable service and an impressive and smooth flavorful wine list makes this a must return visit. And if you're so inclined they have a Wine Club you can join.

She said it's amazing every-time she goes. I loved every wine we tasted. We also had happy hour food at the bar along with a few drinks. The lemon drop was so tasty. We also had the barbacoa quesadilla. The quesadilla had a cheese crust on the outside with the Chipotle sauce. Everything was just fantastic. I can't wait to go back. Parking is so easy and plenty of it.

Alright so I'll admit I'm a red wine snob. We drop a minimum…read moreof $40 per bottle and it only goes up from there. It has been my experience that few bottles that go under $40 are worth my time. I was wrong. Amy, owner of TOTT, shared with me 4 wines that ran $15-$20 that I actually truly enjoyed. Her selections are impressive, small batch bottles, 5,000 in existence or less from around the world. She also has a strong meat and cheese selection and an adorable dog to boot. I will be back!

What a charming wine and cheese shop! I never knew this even existed. I mean, I have driven past…read moreit without even a second thought. I didn't know what it was, until some friends of mine booked a wine tasting for us. What? I love wine tastings, and thought I had to drive to Dahlonegha for that. No idea there was a place so close by to do wine like this. We walked in and were walked back to a quaint room with a long table and chairs around it. A reservation had been made for the wine tasting, so the four of us were seated with some other people that had made the reservation as well. Amy, the owner, came in and introduced herself. She was so knowledgable about wines, and really was informative. I have to say I've been to several wine tastings before, but I learned a lot here from Amy. She told us about herself, and what her store is all about. She stated she has about 300 wines in her shop, and she has tasted every single one. She stated that she got a lot of her wines from small producers, and that most of her wines were under $20. She said she liked to have a unique variety of wines that would be good to grab for a dinner at home, or for a gift. She also had several imported and domestic cheeses. We had the opportunity to try a few different cheeses, and by far my favorite was the brie/gouda mix Belletoile. It was so good and creamy. The crackers that were served with the cheeses were so good as well. We had a peppercorn and a plain cracker. Both were really good, and I loved the small sizes of the crackers to go with the cheese. They were made from a small company in Chamblee called Georgia Sourdough. You can buy their crackers at this store, so you don't have to drive to Chamblee. So the wine tastings are Monday-Saturday. Drop-in tastings are Monday through Wednesday for $10, which includes four wines and one cheese with cracker. Thursday through Saturday, Amy does a six wine tasting paired with 3 different cheeses and crackers for $18 per person. The latter requires a reservation. Each tasting has a theme, so for instance, the one we did was USA Wines. And I tried my first Riesling I actually didn't mind. It wasn't sweet. She mentioned that before I tried it, and she was right. You also get to keep the BPA plastic stemless glass you use to do the tastings. She chose these BPA glasses, because there is no odor like with most plastics and doesn't have that plastic taste, either. The glasses are very sensitive to heat, though, so don't put them in your dishwasher or they will melt. She serves the wines from lightest to heaviest, and she told us if you rinse the glass each time with water between tastings you will change the way the next wine should taste. She said going from lightest to heaviest will nix the need to actually rinse the glass. If you like any of the wines or cheeses you try the day of the tasting, you can get any of them for 10% off. And she won't tell you the prices of the wines until after the tasting, which was a good idea. She didn't want us having preconceived ideas on the taste based on knowledge of the price. Unfortunately, I picked the most expensive wine as my favorite. I wouldn't pay $27 for a wine for any regular evening, but it's a good choice for the weekend or entertaining. I'd love to come back here, sooner than later. I am so excited my friends discovered this place, and will definitely be back. If you live in the area, check it out.
