Best Italian food and Neapolitan pizza in the area, all at good pricing in a causal, friendly atmosphere. Highlights: The pasta bolognese is terrific and the Margherita DOP with bufala mozz is excellent with just a bit of char on the crust. Everything's good here, though, and there is something for everyone on the menu. Ambience is "Cheers" bar friendly, with Kirsten, Rhett and John remembering your name as well as your fave cocktail, beer or wine after a visit or two. The outside patio is great and is enclosed for cooler weather dining. Inside is comfortable and usually quite busy. The bar is one of the best places to meet friends in Crabapple. With expertly made craft cocktails, about 10 craft beers on tap (including Peroni), plus a modest selection of value-priced wines available, the bartenders offer generous pours, and though business is often frenetic the 'tenders are quick to serve and chat it up. Parking can be tight, especially on the weekends, but it's always way more convenient to park here than downtown Roswell, Alpharetta or Avalon. We called 30 minutes ago and told it was a 15 minute wait. Then we go in and they tell us 1.5 hours. They told us we couldn't call ahead yet they wouldn't let us sit into the open table because they had those tables reserved for people who called ahead. We have been going to Campania for years. It's been almost a weekly tradition until today. We called ahead to make a reservation and was told they are not taking reservations but would have to wait 15 minutes when we arrived. No big deal. Got there and was told it was going to be a 90 minute wait. Inquired about an open table and they said it was reserved for a party of 7. Was a little frustrated and the manager was less than helpful. While the food is excellent, on more than one occasion, despite having 20+ guests in the restaurant, the manager closed the restaurant early. There is no last call for food and drink, and you are given attitude when asking for something more. It is not so wonderful finishing your meal to the smell of bleached floors and counters. I want this place to be really good. It is in a beautiful neighborhood, nice little shopping center, and has a nice bar and atmosphere. I have had the pizza before and been fairly satisfied. Stopped in with a friend and she had the bolognese, and she was happy with her dish, but wanted more sauce. I wanted to try something simple, so I ordered the chicken panini. First, it did not look like a panini, but more like a pita sandwich, with two large portions of pita filled with lots of chicken, onions and cheese, and a little side salad. What got me was that the chicken gave me a mouth workout trying to chew, as the chicken was extremely tough. I am all about chicken that is tender, not like "shoe leather." And the pita bread tasted homemade, but my thought was, why not make a nice panini bread or pocket? Next time I will stick to the pizza or pasta. read more

I DO NOT APPRECIATE, however, walking in at 8:30 on a Tuesday night, plenty (~10-12) of folks in restaurant, actively eating a freshly delivered food, to be told you were closing early. Nothing on door, hostess didn't say anything and bartender informs me as I'm about to sit down. My unofficial guess is that the key person on duty wanted to go home and watch the Braves game from the comfort of their couch. Guess you missed out on a $100 or more tab. read more

These pizzas do not have cheese. Well most of them anyway. After driving 15 minutes to this restaurant for takeout, with my one year old in tow, I find out this place only puts mozzarella balls on their margherita pizza, and none of the rest have cheese. The bartender offered to switch it out but that was not acceptable. Once I put some shredded cheese on the pizza and reheated it, it was decent. read more

Wow, busy on a Sunday night. Got there at 6:30 and had to wait for about 15 minutes but totally worth it. Great Carciofo salad with artichoke hearts and Parmesan cheese to start and perfect Neapolitan style pizza for entree. We love the Salame (spicy pepperoni), the Tartufo (white with pancetta, mushrooms, garlic, fresh rosemary and truffle oil), or the Capricciosa (Parma Cotto ham, mushrooms, artichoke hearts and Kalamata olives. What prevents me from giving this more than 2 stars is their adherence to COVID-19 policies. Above says staff wears masks. that is 100% not true as we picked up takeout today and the two pizza bakers as well as two staff in the kitchen and the manager were not wearing masks. This has been brought to management attention at other times by other people as well. The manager, who put his mask on to come over to me after I asked to speak about mask use, claims GA law only requires those in contact with customers to be masked. Well, the virus is airborne. They are not spacing their Outdoor tables 6 ft apart either so we have stopped eating on the patio. Went to the crabapple festival with the family and needed a place to relax outside with a tv in mid to late afternoon. We walked to this restaurant and were nicely greeted and taken to the large patio. It was a perfect setting for some drinks and food. We planned to sit for awhile due to mid afternoon and football game day . Our server was Leah and she never rushed us or made us feel awkward for lingering longer than a normal seating. She accommodated our various requests and had great energy and spark. The food came out perfectly and the desserts didn't disappoint. Hard to get food when sitting at the bar. When we got food, pizza was good but cold. Meatballs looked like they got dropped as they were cut in half. Folks next to me said they should be whole, and I said I know had them before. When I asked the bartender, I was told thats how they are made, when I disagreed, she just took the plate and threw them away. Never got them replaced. This is more of a bar that serves food than a restaurant that serves alcohol. Bartender only serves and waits on a few folks and those seemed to be getting free drinks as they were serving themselves. Ownership must be absent or just don't care. The amount of customers who came in and immediately left due to chaos at the bar had to be over a dozen. This use to be a good family restaurant, now its a bar. read more

Love the highway 9 location. Crabapple location not so much. Pizza is great. Inside the restaurant is so incredibly loud. I had to practically yell to my friend seated next to me. Our server had the worst attitude. He complained about another table, then when he refilled our water he slammed each glass on the table. I felt as though I was being reprimanded for having water. The bill was $42 and I gave him $60. He asked us twice if we needed change. Yes we did want change. He got so pissed and walked away, came back and tossed the change on the table.
