We first visited Flippin' Pizza because they were supporting our baseball fundraiser for Cooperstown. We were so happy to find it! The restaurant has dine-in seating, but mostly takeout. It is located close to PCH and service was friendly. It took about 20 minutes for our food to be made, but we were happy to wait for the quality pizza, garlic knots, Meatballs and Caesar Salad. I happened to be near this shopping plaza on Del Obispo street in Dana Point and came across Flippin' Pizza. I was super hungry and this seemed like a quick and decent option. Upon arrival, the manager and employee warmly greeted me. All of the pizzas looked good, and I liked the fact that I could just order a slice, because I had my eyes on their garlic knots and salad as well. Their pizza box says that their dough has no added sugar, oil or corn syrup, which means less calories and carbs. Well hey, that sounds like a winner to me! Unfortunately, the pizza was just average at best. I got a slice of their Triboro for $3.75, which is basically pepperoni and sausage. All of their pizzas are pre-made and stuck in the oven when you order, which means it's not the freshest when it's been sitting out there for who knows how long. They offer NY style, which is thin and crispy. The actual taste of it was nothing to write home about. The toppings were typical and the crust really wasn't that crispy. While the garlic knots looked promising, they were a disappointment as well. They were super doughy with no flavor. For the reasonable price of 6 knots for $3.95, I'd still pass on this in the future. The salad was the best part of the meal! I ordered the small "Oh Baby" salad for $7.95. It came with Spring mix, gorgonzola, candied walnuts and cranberries with balsamic. Absolutely delicious! I'd return just for this. There are better pizza places in the area, but if you just need something to scarf down because you're hungry, this will do. read more

Not knowing they defaulted it to DOorDash they gave it to them and I guess didn't give them my correct hintingbut instead of delivering it to an address less than a mile from the store, the driver called in San Clemente.
