Dad and I are in Tucson-Benson today and we stopped by the Pima Air and Space Museum, with 2 hours into us oohing and ahhing at 3 hangers we needed to sit to eat. We're in a museum expected us to have like normal amusement park/basic grill food. Oh my God were we wrong! Dad had the burger and I had the grilled chicken sandwich. The buns were buttered and grilled perfectly the vegetables on both were fresh and you could tell not out of the bag. The pickles were thick like homemade. I had the fruit cup with the best blueberries I've had in a while, and dad's fries were great too if not a little cold since we were enjoying the sandwiches so much. Like legit loved them so much. Surprisingly good food given it's a simple (and only) food option in the museum. You can see different planes on outdoor display while eating! We ordered one fried chicken sandwich and one Sonoran hotdog (a Tucson specialty!). I'm pleasantly impressed by both food. The chicken is simple but crispy without too much heavy spices. The dog is covered with salsa and chilli beans. First time trying this version of the hotdog and I like it! You can also get refill drinks which is a nice add on from the scorching hot temperatures outside. read more

I never expect much from museum restaurants, but this one really achieved an all time low. $12.50 for a burger that could have been featured in a Wendy's "Where's the beef?" commercial. For the price you charge, you should be buying 1/4 lb burger patties. read more

This is the restaurant in the PIMA Air & Space Museum. We had lunch here while visiting the museum. It has a limited menu but what it offers is very good. Chairs are expanded metal and not the most comfortable. You order at the cash register & they bring it out to you. They are fairly quick. I had the Croque Monsieur panini. Since Croque means crunch in French, it's appropriate that the bread is toasted crunchy - and it was. Ham piled high with Swiss cheese and Dijon mustard was in the middle. It certainly hit the spot! I really liked it. I just wish the menu was a bit more expanded. read more

I visited the Pima Air and Space Museum today. After a few hours of walking around, I was very hungry! The Flight Grill is the only on-site restaurant, so I decided to give it a try. I wasn't expecting much, but I was absolutely shocked at how good the food actually was! I ordered the B-1 Bomber Burger - two beef patties, cheese, and caramelized onions, all nestled snugly between three slices of Texas toast. It was awesome - flavorful, juicy, and hot. The burgers don't come with fries (my only reason for 4-stars instead of five), so I added a side of fries for $3.40. The fires were great as well - hot, crispy, and delicious! My kiddo ordered a corn dog (came with fries and a drink), and he devoured everything - hardly a crumb remained on his tray! Another person in our party ordered the quesadilla, and she couldn't stop raving about it! Prices were reasonable, the facility was clean, and the staff was very friendly! The best part was the backdrop - airplanes and more airplanes! Don't be afraid to give this place a try - they have an extensive menu, including delicious treats like ice cream! read more

The Flight Grill is a little on the pricey side, but not more then a full blown restaurant. I would complain if the food wasn't so delicious! They have a large enough selection for beverages. Fountain (Pepsi) drinks available for refills. Alcohol (wine/beer) available as well. I was very impressed by their green Chile quesadilla. I requested it with chicken and I have to say it was probably the best quesadilla I've ever had. My husband very much enjoyed his burger as well. In all, I recommend checking this place out and dining here if you're spending the day at the museum. Don't forget to flash your membership card for an additional 10% off or military ID if you don't have a membership :) Plenty of in-door and outdoor seating available. So we are at the pima air and space museum and were having a blast and next thing we know it's time for lunch. Well, everyone I talked to in tucson said you should try a sonoran dog. So I tell my girlfriend if this place has it we will eat here since I'm pretty hungry and don't feel like driving to another place. Sure enough it has the sonoran dog so I'm sold! This place has a good selection so it's perfect to eat at before touring or after or both lol. The sonoran dog was really good. It had a bacon wrapped hot dog with pinto beans, tomato, caramelized onions, mustard, mayonnaise & jalapeño sauce. I got the fries as a side. It was so good. This is why I listen to locals when it comes to stuff to try! My girlfriend had a blue cheese burger and she loved it. I'm not much into blue cheese but the burger was juicy from my little bite. Nice little diner inside the Pima Air & Space Museum. Lots of choices, my only complaint is the cost of things, especially that sides were $3.50, so those fries with your burger will cost ya! Like an amusement park, they know that you have no other options to get food inside (or anywhere near) the museum, and charge accordingly. My higher rating is because I imagine I'll crave another tuna melt from there at some point. read more

WOW, my family & I was able to make it out in Aug. I know, I know not the "Coolest" weather to be walking around outside in but it was well worth the trip. The "Flight Grill" has the most Delicious hamburgers, the bacon burger I believe it was, I have ever tasted. Even the fries were out of this world. Make sure to check the calendar of events for times before going because they usually have an event room for the youngster and a parent to attend & build things. (we built a lot of awesome crafts & even brought them home) So many cool planes & information to look at once on the voyage of exploring planes. The coolest thing is when the employees/volunteers just come up to you with excitement & start explaining to you about the airplanes that are there. The joy & expression on their faces wants them to walk around with you just so they could explain All the planes to you!! The family & I will be going back because of the awesome time we had & not to mention the great food. :-) read more

Are here yesterday for lunch, got a Sonoran hotdog which tasted ok and an iced tea that was so off tasting I had to throw it out. I few hours after eating I got a fever and chills, followed by throwing up for hours and then diarrhea all night. Thanks for the food poisoning flight grill!!! read more

Security called on us! Shame on this place. It is very frustrating. My 4 year old daughter has extreme food allergies so we pack her own meals. Even when restaurants say they can prepare something that is allergen free it is a gamble to trust they don't make a mistake. The safest way to avoid an accident is to prepare food you know she can eat. I asked if they had any food that we can purchase that is allergen free and the manager did not know. They told us to go outside and eat. We paid $28 for our lunch (Mine and my wife's), It was 105 out and I felt we had they right to continue eating inside as a family and not asked to leave as a result of my daughters medical disability. I will not have any family member feel singled out or told to eat in the car before we go inside a restaurant to eat. I sometimes feel as if restaurant employees look at us as if we are trying to save a few bucks. Most employees show sympathy when explained of her condition. Trust me when I say we are not saving ANY money, we literally spend hundreds a year on epipens alone in this great country we call America. I will say "thank you" for the support from other customers in the restaurant. read more

The museum aspect of this place is AMAZING! The food was surprisingly good! We didn't expect much because we were ordering at a museum cafe but it turned out great and the prices were reasonable. You order in line and one of the cashiers/servers bring you your order. (This is a very casual easy concept, nothing fancy and not needed). For what it was the prices were reasonable, my iced tea tasted fine but my partner's coffee was sub-par. We were not totally upset, what could they expect from this small cafe where coffee was not their strong suit. Give it a shot if you're like us and didn't actually plan on eating before arriving- If you're doing the tour or walking around on your own you might end up grabbing a bite to eat there or at the very least getting a drink, we spent 4+ hours just walking around! read more

Nice snack/restaurant stop to make while visiting the Pima Air and Space Museum. Order your food at the counter, get a number and take your receipt to cashier pay. As others have said, for a fixed point grill inside of a museum, the food here is excellent. We had a Chicken Caesar salad, a Reuben sandwich, side of fries, Mountain Dew, and a Bud Light for $27. I have read the other reviews complaining about the high prices here, but it is competitive with other area restaurants and the convenience of eating onsite trumps the other options. Our food was prepared to order, and served hot and fresh. My french fries were a very healthy portion that we actually couldn't finish. You order your hot food directly from the line cook and he gives you a voucher which you hand to the cashier. Our food was ready in about 7 minutes and delivered to our table. Be sure to check out the wall display of all of the service pieces from airlines of the 60's/70's/80's. We spent a good 15 minutes reminiscing about the days of past when you could actually eat a mediocre meal at 30,000 feet with a complimentary swizzle stick. Kids who don't know what that is NEED to visit this exhibit inside the Flight Grill. Well worth the 5 star rating I am throwing here, thanks for the great food and service. read more

Decent museum food and plenty of drinks and ice cream. This is much better than the old version of the grill as it is much more spacious and therefore relaxing. It's a good place to take a break from the walking and heat and recharge yourself for a great museum experience. read more
