Our food took an hr to come out tonight. The three tables around us that were seated at least 10 minutes after us. Had them get the manager/owner and after speaking with him, he gave is chicken tenders on the house. The chicken tenders were cold and seemed like theyve been sitting out for a while, maybe someone cancelled their order (??). When the owner saw we hadn't touched the chicken tenders, he gave us desert. Instead of showering us with food, we would've been a lot happier with a gift certificate to come back for another experience. Food was not worth the one hour wait, and to top it off, cashier girl slammed our debit card on the counter while I had my hand out for her to hand it to me. Atmosphere fun entertaining and pleasing. Server was very good, attentive. Food, well done and enjoyable. Giving 3 stars because the front end cashier was totally miserable! We've been going to Flight Deck for 10 years since we moved to Lexington. I love the atmosphere and the food is really good. And the owner, Ted, is always around going from table to table and chatting with everyone. They have a blue plate special which includes drinks for a decent price. I do miss the dessert Irish Creme and Cappacino bars that they used to have though. read more

This place was expensive for what I received. I ordered the spring mix salad, with no cheese. I asked waitress if it came with any vegetables-- no, but you can order them on the side for an extra charge. I didn't think of it, but I should have said Well, I am not having two different types of cheese, is that worth anything? Also, there was no spring mix---only romaine, no other type of lettuce at all, no bread, but got a few club crackers. This was over $10---I could have gone to Ruby Tuesday and got their whole salad bar for less!! read more

I arrived at Flight Deck around 5:15 per recommendation of my hotel's desk clerk. The scenery was very nice and the hostess and manager were very welcoming and quickly seated me to a nice clean booth centered in the restaurant. My servers name was Gabe and he was absolutely excellent. He answered all questions before they were even asked and everything ended in either yes sir, or no sir. Very polite and professional. I ordered the grilled pork chops with mashed potatoes and brown gravy and fried okra. After waiting for maybe 20 minutes or so my food came out and it was absolutely worth the wait. The pork chops had an incredible flavor and were so tender I could've cut them with my fork! The mashed potatoes were hot and creamy with the absolute perfect brown gravy to top them off. The fried okra was breaded to perfection, and tasted just as I imagined it would! There was nothing on my plate that I would not give a 5 star rating too. I travel in and out of the Lexington County area frequently and I have found my go to dinner spot! I strongly recommend you give this place a try! read more

I've never been to any restaurant where the owner makes sure he speaks to or shakes the hand of every customer. And he asks was your meal good? I was honest and said that my chicken was dry. He apologized and said let me get you another. About 10 minutes later, he returned with a new plate. This Greek seasoned baked chicken was fantastic! The fried green beans are strange but wonderful. We went for Valentines Day. They had a special for 2 prime rib dinners with 2 sides and Manhattan cheesecake for around $50. We thought it was a good deal. We were wrong. We went early to avoid the crowds. It was not busy so there was no excuse for horrible service. They asked us how we wanted it cooked and we said medium. It came out well done, visibly dry and trying to cut into it was much like attempting to eat a shoe. The waiter came by and asked if everything was ok. I mentioned that the prime rib was overdone. He said no problem., he would get us another piece. My husband didn't want to wait as he was starving. By the time my piece came back he was done eating. The prime rib was a very small piece to begin with so... The second piece he brought was identical to the first but I was starving at that point and said the heck with it. We noticed a lot of the people there ordered the same thing and whether you asked for it rare or well done it was all the same. Disappointing! After the waiter dropped off my meal he was no where to be found. We literally sat at the table for 25 minutes with empty drinks and empty plates. We finally flagged down another waiter and asked if he could possibly bring us the dessert that came with our meals since our waiter had disappeared. He apologized and brought us the cheesecake. It was also disappointing. As a former New Yorker I get annoyed when the establishments down here advertise NY pizza or NY cheesecake. It's not. Our waiter finally reappeared handed us the check and didn't even ask if we needed anything. The drinks remained empty. The cashier asked how our experience was and when we told her she said "Oh sorry" and then asked for payment. Thank you for your concern and excellent customer service. We won't be back. Luckily I got to spend the evening with my lovely husband and if it hadn't been for that I would have had a crappy and disappointing holiday. read more

Well, I have been here once before and it was ok. After the latest venture I wont be back unless it's for the arcade and a tea. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger mustard only, came to the table with mayonnaise. I am allergic, I asked specifically for another cheeseburger, waiter (who was good) took it away for a new burger. Not two minutes back he's back with the "new" burger. I knew this could not be fresh, took the bun off and they had simply wiped the mayo off and put a new top bun. Then my mother in law could not eat her cordon blue, it was luke warm and the corn was old. The manager was very nice and took these two plates off and gave my son some tokens for the arcade but we still ended up spending alot for food that was not right or good. I was very disappointed. I cannot fault the service, except he should've known the burger wasn't new and the manager was very apologetic but I still don't think I will be back until I hear there's a new cook because whoever it is doesn't seem to care about what they are doing or the customers they serve. read more

The food is very reasonably priced. The chicken quesadilla appetizer is really good, and the Blue Plate specials are great. However, all three times that we have gone here, the food has taken forever. The appetizers come out pretty quickly...but the last time we went in particular it was 40 minutes from the app hitting the table until we got our food...which was a fried shrimp plate and a sub. The servers are nice. The only reason I can't give it five stars is due to the speed of service. read more

The resturant has a cool theme going on inside and that makes it a fun place to eat. I've never been blown away by the food though, it's good, but nothing I'd write home about. Had issues with my order being wrong a couple times and I don't go there very often. read more

This restaurant is great if you have kids. Not so much if you're any type of discerning diner. The menu, while expansive and offers a lot of choices, I just can't say that it does anything particularly well. There was food debris (not crumbs, large portions) under our table and in watching the clean up process, wiping food from the tables directly on the floor was a standard practice. The service was polite and somewhat attentive, just not exactly accommodating. The food was average and mostly bland. Lots of bling going on and not a lot of substance. We won't be back, but I understand the allure for parents with kids. read more

Just walking down the street and decided to try. We had the fried mushrooms, skytrain (burger with pemento cheese) and the corsair (croissant with turkey, ham, bacon and provolone cheese). Corsair was the better sandwich. Fried mushrooms were nothing special. Portions we're good, large. The place was full. It looks like a fun place and family friendly. The waiter was chewing gum, not bad but not very customer friendly in appearance. So those are the negatives. What I would give it have 4 or better star is the service and management. The manager said hello and shook my hand as we waited on our table. 5 minutes tops. He was not afraid to get his hands dirty and help the busser clear a table and I heard him give good encouragement to everyone. We ran our waiter for items. He was always yes sir and no sir. Always had a smile. We tipped him accordingly. The desserts look fabulous and we are looking forward to trying. The bill came with a "God bless" printed and then circled at the bottom. I would return, but try a different meal. read more

Worst service and experience dining out in quite some time...and we eat out frequently! Waitress took our drink orders almost immediately, and returned with the drinks. She asked if we were ready to order, and we stated we needed a few minutes to decide. Fifteen or twenty min passes, and although the place was not at all crowded, no one came to take our order or check on us. There was plenty of wait staff but they seemed more interested in flirting with each other than waiting on people. When a DIFFERENT girl FINALLY came to take our order, she completely missed my order, and brought my son the wrong food completely. We had to wait for our two dinners to be cooked, so out of 6 orders...2 were wrong( or missed). That's a 66 2/3 pass rate...or rather a FAILING grade. When the manager came over to apologize, he offered us free cookies!!!! REALLY????? Will be a LONG time till I return...and we were fairly regular customers. read more
