I Totaled my 2018 Mercedes GLC 300 late 2026 and had been using borrowed and rentals up until mid April 2026. We are both in our late 80's and after carefully and diligently considering Purchasing and leasing from a dealership we decided Flexcar was our best option. The two major features affected our decision was no down payment total maintenance coverage. Other factors such as Month to month lease and vehicle swap options supported our decision. We were able to get a lat model Crossover that has been recommended cor seniors after 4 months we have had no issues and are completely satisfied with our decision. read more

Really bad. U r better off paying for a proper rental car from a reasonable company. The car was dirty. The car had a problem with the engine. The company wants me to take time out of my day and sit around while they fix it..or pay $199 for a different car. This is a.company for people that cant get a car due to credit issues or something. Its absolutely no cheaper than renting at a regular rental place where they give you safe cars that work. You can switch them out without being penalized and paying a fine. This company caps your mileage and regular rental company doesnt. This company hands out dirty cars with mechanical problems. A regular rental company doesnt. From start to finish, miserable experience. I cannot in good conscience recommend this company to anyone. read more

$50 Penalty and No Proof I've had my FlexCar since Nov 2024, and while I originally left a positive review, my experience lately has completely changed my opinion. Starting in August, my driving score--which FlexCar uses to determine if you're "safe" or not--started dropping. You're considered "safe" at 60 or above. If you fall below that, they charge you a $50 penalty fee on top of your regular monthly payment. My score was always in the 60's from April to August 2025. Now Sept comes and my score dropped to 56, and sure enough, they charged the $50. I called customer service on September 19th (the day they charged me the $50 fee) and asked for verifiable proof of when and where these supposed incidents occurred that caused the drop since this information is not on the portal. I was told I'd receive that in 3 days (not business days) which means by Monday Sept 23rd. It's now Tues the 24th and I still haven't received it. A person name Akeen from Flexcar Support sent me an email on 9/19/25 saying they were still trying to "gather everything." It's now past that point, and nothing has been sent. Not only did they put the $50 penalty on my account they also took away what I was suppose to receive in Sept which would have been $75 off my monthly rate and made me ineligible to receive the discount now. I truly believe that this company is taking advantage of their customers. This is incredibly frustrating. If you're going to penalize someone and charge them extra, you should at least be transparent and back it up with data. I've given FlexCar more than enough time to respond, and instead of resolving the issue, I've been ignored. Reading other reviews I see that I'm not alone. What bothers me most is it feels like they're trying to find new ways to get more money from their customers. I've had no major issues with the car itself, but the way they're handling this new scoring and penalty system is unacceptable. Until this is fixed, I'm standing by this 1-star review. read more

HIDDEN FEES!! Despite saying "everything is included" and "no hidden fees", you're hit a $250 membership fee upon pick up due 2 weeks into the rental. I thought my total cost was $500 -- the membership fee increases the fee by 50%. The only reference to the membership fee is in the membership agreement which is super hard to find and doesn't even say how much the membership fee is -- just that there is one. I'll be returning the car before the fee kicks in and will lose two weeks of what I thought was a month's rental. If the membership fee were at all reasonable or fair, they wouldn't have taken such pains to conceal it. The car also smells bad and the mats and pedals are so slicked with Armor All, it's hard to keep your footing. read more

This program is a huge financial risk and honestly feels like a money grab. The insurance provided is state minimum coverage. Even if the other driver's insurance accepts full liability, you are still required to pay the deductible--either $500 or $2,000, depending on the plan you chose. I strongly advise against the $2,000 option. Once you report any damage to the vehicle (which you are required to do within 48 hours), Flex immediately bills the deductible. If it's not paid right away, they will repossess the vehicle. If you're considering Flexcar, be prepared to have the following funds available at all times: -Monthly payment averaging $780+ with taxes -Accident deductible of $500 or $2,000 (If you're in an accident during the trial and can't afford all required fees--such as the deductible, membership fee, and swap fee--you risk losing your initial payment. And having the vehicle repo. The fees can total over $1,300 within just two weeks. If you opt for the $500 insurance plan) -Vehicle swap fee of about $180 -Membership fee of about $249 after the two week( billed once a year) -Limited mileage, which adds more pressure -No grace period for payments. When you add all of this up, if you have this level of money to give Flexcar, you would be far better off saving for a down payment on a traditional lease and carrying your own insurance. In my opinion, Flexcar is not worth the financial risk. read more

Flexcar - Nice car, but like they say if you can't afford it, we shouldn't be driving it. - Used Car Dealers Near Me - Lilburn, Georgia

Unfortunately customer service is not great at this location. My Freind rented a car, had no issues until she had to return the car. Due to traffic she arrived 5 mítines before close and I arrived 10 minutes before close. The employees laughed and acted as if they couldn't do the return even though we were there before close. Her esteem was done begrudgingly which only took 5 minutes so it could've been done and the person could've left 2 minutes past time instead of wasting their own time . read more

Flexcar, I was raised to say nothing if I have nothing good to say. I was also raised to stand up for whats fair. I picked up my flex car on May 27,2026 a huge SUV, never drove before. I could barely see on my left side of the car while driving because the suv is so big. I called Flexcar and tell them my concerns and the rep Sancia had an attitude, the cs is terrible. She wanted to charge me $199.00 for a swap. I had the care less than 24 hours. After convincing her its dangerious for me to drive that car she finally gave me a free swap. i did the swap, a couple days later i wanted to cancel and swap out for another care and was charge $100.00 for cancellation fee. She told me I had 7 days to swap. today made the 7th day and when I tried to swap, I couldn't i was blocked. I tried calling , nothing. I chat on the web site and was promise a email, I will wait on that. It's so much hidden fees, swap fee, cancellation fee, and 250.00 fee for whatever. Im not sure if this was a great idea . Needless to say, when I return this car Im done. read more

Typically, a great idea, nevertheless, like all startup businesses, there are flaws. In any case, Consumers are the most important stakeholders. Meaning, its a number one priority to ensure that consumers are satisfied, this creates trust, consumers spread the word, ( via the internet, good or bad). Overall experiences matters the most. People may like the sound of the idea of Flexcar, nevertheless, Flexcar must ensure that no one invests into a vehicle that's be altered( for instance, speedometers) People are only allowed to lease a Flexcar accordingly to its drivers history, right? So its apparent that when someone gets a notice from Flexcar saying they're driving 100 mph over the speed limit, its questionable. Research studies proves that (manufacturers) including specific dealers that insist on maintaining its own service, insurance, offers perks, etc., often sets speedometer in vehicles to appear as if its going the actual speed limits while its computer systems are reading higher (above the speed limits). There you have it, hidden perks thats in place to take advantage of unsuspecting individuals. Honesty is the best policy. Likewise, when Flexcar has hidden agendas, it takes advantage of honest citizens and at the same time, hinders one's clean driving history records. Always research, ask for the vin numbers, research it to find out the true value, and condition of any vehicle prior to taking on financial risks brought on by others. They would not like it at all if they were flimflammed themselves . I don't know, on one hand, the idea of Flexcar is good, on the other hand, in order to promote its' brand, Flexcar must not only appeal to its targeted audiences, it must be well capable of delivering. It's one thing to advertise, another to practice what you preach. Much similar to lobbying/campaigning, consumers expect trust. Bottom line, the best ideas for building any type of business is to place ( morality) as the number one, ( top) priority. Always remember (understand your audiences), know exactly what they want, ( most importantly) as regarding to it's individual needs /financial status and learn to build trust by evaluating each individual and this would most definitely allow anyone who has an idea of starting up a business as long as they ensure from bottom to top their plan satisfies each individual, satisfied consumers are happy consumers and happy consumers creates happy business leaders, loyalties across the board, people are tired of being scammed . read more

I love the concept of Flexcar! On Reddit folks talk about the nickel & diming and they are not wrong but after years of dealing with older cars that we owned but needed repairs, the predictability of one price was very attractive especially given the insane insurance rates in Georgia, 7% ad valorem and the annual drama will my car pass inspection (more than once our "birthday" present was paying for a new computer chip not that our car was polluting) for our family it seemed a little expensive, given all the additional fees (and there are so many fees!). What we thought we were buying was convenience/time, less stress and reliability/predictability. We should be the poster child of a Flexcar Family and we would evangelize the product except ... For all we pay (and we paid $20,000+ in a year) every and I mean every experience with customer service has been a NIGHTMARE. I never write reviews. I was taught if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all BUT the last month the service has gone from not good to borderline abusive. First, they are sexist as hell! The contract is in my husband's name and we pay $20 a month for the privilege of letting me drive it. He travels for work and the peace of mind that having a newer car with roadside assistance is how I convinced him to join Flexcar as he was very, very skeptical. The most painful thing a wife has to say, "you were right" to her husband. Flexcar treats me like a child or a scammer. My husband has tried MULTIPLY times to get me added as an authorized user anr EVERYTIME there is an issue, I am not qualified to address it. Latest Issues: Last month we swapped out for a minivan for the Summer. It took 3 tries (at over 100 miles round trip ... that yes you are paying for those miles) and over 6 hours to successfully swap. What happened? The vehicle we ordered and arranged to pick-up with ~10 day lead time, came back damaged and required repairs (They never seem to have enough repair men) ... so Flexcar changed the picked up date ... admittedly in an e-mail my husband missed but he was out of town the day they took the liberty to reschedule. If someone would have called or the app they heavily rely on sent an actual useful message this saga could have been avoided. So husband drives out on a Saturday, calls me and tells me the situation with the manager right there. I can not pick up the car next Wednesday either but I could rearrange things and do Thursday morning. My husband commicates with manager, "She can pick up Thursday" and manager agrees. Thursday comes along and I drive the hour plus to their Stone Mountain location and low and behold, I am not allowed to pick up the car as I am not "authorized". This is the Thursday before a holiday weekend so they are closed Monday and we were planning to leave that day for a two week road trip which was the trigger for the swap in the first place. Ultimately, they delivered the car to us but only once my husband got home from his business trip. It was explained to me like I was a child this was to protect Flexcar from fraud. Two weeks later ... we got home from road trip and had a very busy day. It's Atlanta, it's raining and I ran over something causing a flat tire. I got off the highway at the first exit and called roadside assistance. After spending 12 minutes verifying who I am, this strange lady driving the car that again we pay $20 a month for the privledge of having 2 drivers. She agrees to call a tow truck but my husband must be there!! SO after a long day of work he has to drive 30 minutes?!? Not the convenience/time, less stress that we thought we were paying a premium for! Talk to Pep Boys Monday night, our vehicle will be the first they work on, straight forward repair, they just need Flexcar to approve the repair, could be done as early as 10:00 AM. 10:00 comes, I call Pep Boys for a status - THEY ARE STILL WAITING FOR FLEXCAR TO APPROVE and advise me to call Flexcar. Where once again I am treated like a child or a scammer trying to pull one over on them BUT and this is why I have taken the time to write this (I hope scathing) review, I am told for the first time that I need to fill out an incident report within 24 hours of the "accident". (It a flat tire in Atlanta is characterized as an "accident", I now understand why Georgia has one of the highest car insurance rates in the country). I am also told for the first time that I need to take at least 3 very specific pictures for said report, wouldn't the time to tell me this be last night when I called? Or maybe they don't think the child can understand such instructions. Luckily, as an attorney by training, I did in fact take pictures, despite my child-like status of just being a wife. So last night I spent $20 for an Uber to get to work and today it looks like I will be spending another $100 to get to a very important appointment in Gwinnett County. Thanks Flexcar! (/s) DO NOT RECOMMEND read more

$50 Penalty on driving score below 60 is a total scam. I talked to customer service several times. They do not have the detail report on those events (speeding, brake, conrnering) to justify it. Flexcar just try to rip off customer to have more profits. Flexcar is very bad company. read more

The idea is good. We needed another car for the summer and typical rental places max out at 30 days. There are LOTS of hidden fees, so don't believe the website banners and claims. The delivery was smooth. A bus backed into me while I was parked, so no fault of my own. I went through the claims process to the letter and had to pay the $1000 deductible. They said I would get it back, and a year later they are still not taking any accountability for the process. Stick with a legacy rental car company. read more

Its sad to see all the unfavorable reviews, I've actually had a pretty smooth experience with FlexCar. Not so crazy about how they handle insurance claims even when if the other drivers insurance pays them, they still take money from you first. Overall, my experience has been stress free. This is the worst company I've ever used their employees are extremely rude and do very little to help. they wont tell you that they will charge you 300$ for literally being with them for a year they don't tell you they track your driving and charge you if you do anything they don't like. and when it comes to maintenance, they say you're 100% covered, but you're not that's a lie. This whole company is shady and they need to be removed. read more

So far, so good! Beats leasing and being in a contract or buying a car. One monthly fee covers it all. I would recommend to anyone looking for a flexible way to get into a car. Flexcar - Reception - Used Car Dealers Near Me - Lilburn, Georgia

Flexcar, is very much so a scam...the amount of money you pay you should be able to get unlimited miles. I retuned my car and they still sent a message out about law enforcement engagement...why if you have your property is back in your place of business...on top of that; charging for miles that I didn't get to use doesn't seem logical to me. I've an horrible experience every time it came time To speak with customer service not all but majority. DO NOT DO IT! read more

Even traditional rentals like Hertz or Enterprise are far cheaper than Flexcar. Unlike Flexcar, Hertz and Enterprise don't charge per mile, they don't hit you with fees to swap out vehicles, and they don't have an annual fee. Flexcar is the most outrageously expensive option, and the service is horrendous. I would avoid this at all costs unless you enjoy throwing money away on a rental. They charge you arbitrarily before you even use your miles. The customer service is atrocious, with agents who are rude and disrespectful. This is a colossal scam - never use Flexcar; it's the absolute worst. read more

One of the worst customer services I've experienced recently. Let's begin with the pickup and drop off location being way far away. Secondly in case the car breaks down all they do is make you wait and call the road side service. Then they expect you to drive the car back to the location as they will not offer any help or they do not co wonder any safety concerns. All your doubts are redirected to a centralize call system so do not expect any actual help or refund. Don't consider Flexcar for a long time rental needs. All in all pretty disappointed. read more

Ok so I normally don't really write reviews unless it is necessary and I feel this is. I have dealt with the customer service over the phone 3 times for different reasons and I can say that they are rude, nasty, and definitely need to take a customer service class a few of them because if someone is in need of help that is what you you do not sound rude, and unwelcoming or unempathetic and not answer customer questions. Now the the customer service in office is amazing maybe the people over the phone need to take some pages out of the customer service in office that is the reason for the 3 stars because the people in the office are amazing, please if you use Flexcar pray you don't have any problems where you have to call customer service because they are unhelpful, rude, and very unempathetic with whatever you are going through oh and when you ask for a supervisor they don't have one, so there is no one they answer to and that is the reason they are allowed to get so out of pocket with customers who are at the end of the day helping with their lifestyle because if Flexcar didn't have paying customers then those people wouldn't have a job at the end of the day. read more

I wish we had read the fine print before renting a car through this company. We needed a short term rental and we were enticed by the concept of them delivering the car to our doorstep. But it ended up being an overall poor experience due to lack of publicized details. They completely hid the fact that you have to return the car to them, and in my particular case, use up almost half your rental miles to do so. How can a company like this have only one location in all of the greater Atlanta area? It is totally inconvenient all the way out in Lilburn on the complete opposite side of the city from me. What a waste of time and money. read more

I Do Not recommend Flexcar in Atlanta Ga. Everything besides the money you spend to take the car off of the lot , you will also be charged with mileage. However , they do not let you know that you pay for every 0.54 cents. Customer Service was no help to any of the questions I've asked . The only employee was willing to comply was the manager Max , I believe was her name .Now me not knowing until I was notified , I was charged about $400 in a day in less then 24 hours !!! For the website to say that they are "willing" to help the unfortunate who can't really purchase a brand new car, or insurance anywhere.... It's very displeasing,&& misleading . Barely driven the car to do anything !! -100/100 WILL NOT RECOMMEND TO FLEXCAR EVER TO ANYONE ! read more
