Although my project was small (they redid the exterior of my kitchen bump-out), I was completely impressed by Fletcher's team. I told the sales person that I wanted something that I wasn't going to need to worry about for years. He assured me that would be the case. They delivered. My neighbors complimented the work and told me that they were very impressed. I also impressed by the engineer that came and explained the what and how the work was going to get done. I would say the person paying for the job should be present I went through numerous calls and texts with an estimate I never received because the guy wanted to come by again, which would have been the fourth time. While we are "satisfied" with the end result, it took a great deal of frustration and effort to get there. This was basically a tub replacement ,mbing pluand new floor, (End cost $16k) First their salesman was smooth but not technically knowlegable, the quote was very vague," its implied in the contract" was his response to when we would ask specifics..... What was supposed to be a 3 day job ended up being 3 weeks. There were too many call backs to count. The communication (or lack thereof) with their Project Manager was terrible. The worker who did the work had an attitude from the start. The sub contractors they sent did not do what Fletcher had proposed and then wanted more money. They made us sign a Change Order to cover work that was already supposed to be covered (Replacing Subfloor) Then charged us $160 each for four sheets of floor underlayment. (Less than $50 sheet at Lowes) Water overflowed and damaged kitchen ceiling (another sub to fix) Installed Medicine cabinet that would not open due to hitting sink faucet. Construction debris sat in driveway for 3 weeks. Dismal Project Management, awful communication, HIGH Price. Dont use Fletcher ! read more

Updated since the original review - after posting this the company reached back out to me and provided the proposal that I was originally promised. Their pricing was competitive however we decided to go another direction with our project. Had to schedule three different appointments to finally get someone to come look at my bathroom remodel project. I literally live across the street from their office on Garrisonville Road. The first two appointments a technician called me at the time of the appointment to say he would be an hour late and those reschedule times would not work for us Finally we had a technician come out and make the appointment, take measurements, and discuss the project with us I reached out to him the next morning and he said he would call me that afternoon to discuss the project and finalize a proposal. If I could give zero stars I would. Originally I made an appointment with Fletcher for a patio. Evan came out and gave me an estimate - while it was on the high end, I actually considered them. Since he was already here, I figured I'd ask him about my problem with rain coming into my master bathroom. He walked with me, looked at the window outside and told me that my window was not properly installed by the builder. He then informed me that if I would get a new window, it would take care of the water coming in since they will install the window properly. Obviously, I didn't want the water damage to get worse, so I bought a window which was installed. The finish looks totally different than the other windows - not super happy about that either. During the install the team identified the water coming in from up higher and recommended an inspection to determine the root cause. Since the window clearly was NOT the reason of the water leaking inside, I told them to hold off on finishing the drywall (which was part of the window install) since it most likely will get destroyed again. Therefore, the workers didn't finish the job on the inside. The PM stated that he would schedule an inspection with their scheduler to come back out to determine the root cause and identify the repair cost. The inspection never happened - but Evan their estimator sent me a contract to fix the leak for $ 1,500. This new contract also included the narrative for finishing the window install job on the inside which has never been completed the first time around. The day of the fix came finally (due to rain I had to wait several weeks). The workers pulled off the siding and showed me where the damage was, but still were puzzled what caused it (so no root cause still). They continued to replace the plywood that was rotten and applied the new siding that was ordered for this fix. The PM told me that they had ordered 6 sheets of siding but only used 1. Upon completion, they did ask me if I wanted the other sheets, but I told them I would request an adjustment to the final cost - so they took it back. Now I am being told that the invoice will NOT be adjusted because I signed the contract, and any overages ordered on supplies would go back to their vendor. Guess that was a lesson learned on my part - I will never sign a vague contract like this again. However, I feel that the public should be aware of their business practices - feeding off the fear homeowners have. TERRIBLE!!! NEVER AGAIN!!! Silver lining, I had considered them for my bathroom reno and the patio - and $1,500 was a small price to pay to avoid a much bigger headache and probably cost with the bigger jobs I considered them for. read more

I had a deck project that I called them about. The salesperson said that the way I wanted to do it was against code. I told him another company had said they could do it according to code, and he responded by telling me I should go with them. Then I asked how he would do it. He gave me his suggestion and he gave me a ball park price that was ridiculous after he thought about it for about 10 seconds. The serious contractors actually took a couple days to generate an estimate in written form. It seems like he just didn't want the job. Not a company to go to for solutions to real problems. read more

We needed some work done on our fixer upper that was past due to fix. We hired Fletcher based on a recommendation from a friend that had done work years ago. The consultation was great. He was professional, well groomed, polite, and reassuring. He hit all the points to make the sale. We wanted the professionalism and quality work. Unfortunately after the pitch that's not what was delivered. They pushed us to lock into an agreement and then after ghosted us for quite some time. Like all construction companies, they subcontracted the work. Only the project manager seemed to actually work for Fletcher. He was rarely there on scene. Either the workers lied to him or he lied to us, consistently. We were getting new siding and gutters, so not a cheap quick project. The first issue we had, that we weren't warned about, was the nails and screws EVERYWHERE (pic shows just a small fraction of what was picked up by us.) We have small dogs and small child that go outside. So we consistently picked up their nails out of the yards and driveway to save our pets' feet and our tires. We picked up several hundred and continue to find them after the work is done. I get that it is construction but there was clearly no attempt to contain this or pick them up. Some were obviously bad nails they couldn't use so they tossed them in the grass (misshaped tips). The other issues were the damage that definitely could have been avoided. I failed to remove some fairy lights on the porch because I didn't think they would do anything on the inside (I think they may have been sagging some too). But instead of asking to take them down, which we were home to do, they cut them in several places and then encased them in the facia and caulked around the hanging wire. When asked to fix it, it took several requests to do so and in the end there was still some of the copper wire hanging out of the caulk. They damaged the front door frame and minimized the damage. Eventually they secured the door and caulked the separated seems. We will see how that holds up. On the porch, one of the workers spilled something, a dark sticky liquid (maybe cola or coffee, or glue) and splashed it all over the brand new siding. It was not cleaned up and we noticed it a few days later (area was under construction so we didn't go out there). We asked for the pieces to be replaced since they have extra. It was poorly wiped up. We asked again to replace the pieces, again it was wiped but still there. A final time we were told they would replace it and they brought a chemical to try to clean it! After argument they finally replaced the pieces. There were other places/pieces that were scraped and had to be replaced as well. We had outside security lights that worked before but not after. In all I was disappointed in both the quality of work and the lack of integrity. In the end the house looks great, from what we can see. All the things that were caught make me question what else was done sloppily that we don't know about. The gutters look good and we have so far not had a problem. If you hire this company, I recommend taking time off from work to stay there and watch them. If you don't catch it, they won't fix it on their own. Also prepare for nails everywhere and all of your bushes to be trampled. Because of the subcontracting you'll likely get the same quality work with a cheaper company. read more

Alright people. Let's talk about Fletcher. I used them to replace a sliding glass door for my basement and used them for my deck as well as replace my princess balcony. So, three projects. First, the door. Crew came in and was clean and efficient. After it was installed I noticed, it had the wrong handle on the door. Supposed to have a lock and it didn't. Took 3 months to get the door in (due to COVID) then took another month or so to get the correct handle in and installed. Corey was nice and professional and came out to replace the handle. And has since come out again, to replace the screen door as one of the rollers broke off the bottom. Second, my deck. This is where the fun really begins. People. Remember this: Evan is a salesman. His sole job is to get you to sign the contract. Is he pushy? No. Informative? Yes. Handsome? Yes. Professional? Yes. Knowledgeable? Eh...on some things. Fletcher is a well known and much used company. Been around for some time. However, understand if it is not done right in the beginning, it will fall apart at some point. Because Evan is a salesman, and NOT a designer, the plans he drew up were NOT going to work. Of course, I did not know that. I got a phone call from Aimee (great project manager), after Kevin's team had torn down my old deck, questioning the plans and advising that the current plans were NOT going to work. Anxiety now sets in. Aimee did her best to calm me down and reassure me, but from there it was a mess. It was stressful as the price began to rise, thousands that I had not counted on. Inspections suddenly had to be arranged, as I was initially advised (from Evan) that I would not need one. Lori (the GM), told me there were "obstacles" that had to be overcome for the deck. My issue was, the "obstacles" (my pool, patio and walkway) were there when Evan initially looked at the area and should've been accounted for. Ultimately, it was stressful, and cost me more money than originally agreed upon. Had it been planned better; I believe it would have been a much better experience. I did not feel as if they avoided my calls. I felt as if they too were trying to make the very best out of a suddenly poor situation. Kevin and his team were so very clean! They came in on time, worked the entire day, then cleaned up as if they were never there. Do I like my deck? I LOVE IT! Would I use Fletcher again? The question is? Would they have me?? read more

My wife and I are absolutely in love with our new roof. Who says that right? I obtained a significant amount of quotes from different roofers in the area and Fletcher was the last one that I spoke with. Jeremy was extremely knowledgeable about the different options between GAF and Certainteed roofing systems. After much research and meeting with different contractors, I was pretty set on the Certainteed product and Jeremy recommended that I look at the Atlas Pinnacle roofing system. He shared that Atlas was mainly a brand that was used down south due to their high wind ratings while GAF and Certainteed is more prevalent in our market. I researched and decided to go with the Atlas system and could not be happier. Their pricing was competitive and their roofers worked their butts off in hot, humid weather and finished our tear off and install in 1 day. Jeremy stayed in contact throughout the bid process and answered phones calls, emails and text when I had questions or when he found other solutions for other work I was considering. Corey was our project manager and also did a fantastic job with scheduling and staying on top of the roofing and gutter installation team. Top-notch crew and workmanship. I called 5 roofing companies. Jeremy was the only one that actually went into my attic to see the decking underneath the roof and to ensure the safety of the crew that was doing the work. He worked with the insurance company firsthand to ensure everything was taken care of. The crew showed up 30 min early to the job with all the supplies needed. They were out of the driveway with everything cleaned up before 2:45 that afternoon. Cody was managing 2 or 3 jobs all over the area at the same time. Fletcher Construction LLC. - Honest and Outstanding Work We needed our entire railing system for our deck replaced. Tim came out and took measurements with photos and then sent a proposal via email. The day of the project, the team showed up and performed an outstanding job. The care in which they took down the old railings, and the necessary wood working needed to create our new railings was amazing. They cleaned up all the old lumber and followed up with blowing away any debris. These men are true professionals and know what they are doing. The deck has sixteen stairs going straight down. Since the day it was built, the deck stairs always had a bit of a swaying sensation. Now we can walk down those stairs and feel absolutely no swaying.
