This is what is being built, no help from Fletcher. Way too expensive!!! Hard sell from salesman and it was a bait and switch. You really don't get 20% off

    Scrape on new siding

We needed some work done on our fixer upper that was past due to fix. We hired Fletcher based on a recommendation from a friend that had done work years ago. The consultation was great. He was professional, well groomed, polite, and reassuring. He hit all the points to make the sale. We wanted the professionalism and quality work. Unfortunately after the pitch that's not what was delivered. They pushed us to lock into an agreement and then after ghosted us for quite some time. Like all construction companies, they subcontracted the work. Only the project manager seemed to actually work for Fletcher. He was rarely there on scene. Either the workers lied to him or he lied to us, consistently. We were getting new siding and gutters, so not a cheap quick project. The first issue we had, that we weren't warned about, was the nails and screws EVERYWHERE (pic shows just a small fraction of what was picked up by us.) We have small dogs and small child that go outside. So we consistently picked up their nails out of the yards and driveway to save our pets' feet and our tires. We picked up several hundred and continue to find them after the work is done. I get that it is construction but there was clearly no attempt to contain this or pick them up. Some were obviously bad nails they couldn't use so they tossed them in the grass (misshaped tips). The other issues were the damage that definitely could have been avoided. I failed to remove some fairy lights on the porch because I didn't think they would do anything on the inside (I think they may have been sagging some too). But instead of asking to take them down, which we were home to do, they cut them in several places and then encased them in the facia and caulked around the hanging wire. When asked to fix it, it took several requests to do so and in the end there was still some of the copper wire hanging out of the caulk. They damaged the front door frame and minimized the damage. Eventually they secured the door and caulked the separated seems. We will see how that holds up. On the porch, one of the workers spilled something, a dark sticky liquid (maybe cola or coffee, or glue) and splashed it all over the brand new siding. It was not cleaned up and we noticed it a few days later (area was under construction so we didn't go out there). We asked for the pieces to be replaced since they have extra. It was poorly wiped up. We asked again to replace the pieces, again it was wiped but still there. A final time we were told they would replace it and they brought a chemical to try to clean it! After argument they finally replaced the pieces. There were other places/pieces that were scraped and had to be replaced as well. We had outside security lights that worked before but not after. In all I was disappointed in both the quality of work and the lack of integrity. In the end the house looks great, from what we can see. All the things that were caught make me question what else was done sloppily that we don't know about. The gutters look good and we have so far not had a problem. If you hire this company, I recommend taking time off from work to stay there and watch them. If you don't catch it, they won't fix it on their own. Also prepare for nails everywhere and all of your bushes to be trampled. Because of the subcontracting you'll likely get the same quality work with a cheaper company.

Alright people. Let's talk about Fletcher. I used them to replace a sliding glass door for my basement and used them for my deck as well as replace my princess balcony. So, three projects. First, the door. Crew came in and was clean and efficient. After it was installed I noticed, it had the wrong handle on the door. Supposed to have a lock and it didn't. Took 3 months to get the door in (due to COVID) then took another month or so to get the correct handle in and installed. Corey was nice and professional and came out to replace the handle. And has since come out again, to replace the screen door as one of the rollers broke off the bottom. Second, my deck. This is where the fun really begins. People. Remember this: Evan is a salesman. His sole job is to get you to sign the contract. Is he pushy? No. Informative? Yes. Handsome? Yes. Professional? Yes. Knowledgeable? Eh...on some things. Fletcher is a well known and much used company. Been around for some time. However, understand if it is not done right in the beginning, it will fall apart at some point. Because Evan is a salesman, and NOT a designer, the plans he drew up were NOT going to work. Of course, I did not know that. I got a phone call from Aimee (great project manager), after Kevin's team had torn down my old deck, questioning the plans and advising that the current plans were NOT going to work. Anxiety now sets in. Aimee did her best to calm me down and reassure me, but from there it was a mess. It was stressful as the price began to rise, thousands that I had not counted on. Inspections suddenly had to be arranged, as I was initially advised (from Evan) that I would not need one. Lori (the GM), told me there were "obstacles" that had to be overcome for the deck. My issue was, the "obstacles" (my pool, patio and walkway) were there when Evan initially looked at the area and should've been accounted for. Ultimately, it was stressful, and cost me more money than originally agreed upon. Had it been planned better; I believe it would have been a much better experience. I did not feel as if they avoided my calls. I felt as if they too were trying to make the very best out of a suddenly poor situation. Kevin and his team were so very clean! They came in on time, worked the entire day, then cleaned up as if they were never there. Do I like my deck? I LOVE IT! Would I use Fletcher again? The question is? Would they have me??

We are very happy with the new roof. From the very first visit from Jeremy, he took his time explaining the products and process. He even covered part of the roof which had lost some shingles. He did that even before we had placed the order, which provided us reassurance that he would take great care of our property. The install crew were thorough, clean and very polite. Thank you guys for a job well done.

RESPONSIVENESS - very fast, very responsive, very professional. A tad too frequent, but apparently roof repair is a competitive business. INSPECTION - scheduled and conducted efficiently; exceptionally thorough inspection report (David). COST - in line with all other quotes, which are apparently driven by the insurance estimate. Green Oak differentiation included owner interaction, master roofer certification, 5 star rating, excellent warranty, professional documentation and workflow management. WORK - scheduled efficiently, material arrived on time the day before, crew arrived on time the day of, work was conscientious and completed in 3/4 day (townhome), clean-up (including loose nail hunt) was impressively thorough. AFTER - received certificate of completion in a timely manner, along with photo record of repaired roof. Not being a roofer, it's difficult to assess the integrity of the new roof & shingles, however the end result appears clean and professional. Suspect the new, high-quality roof will increase the townhome value and/or decrease time to sell based on the high-quality products used and overall curb appeal of the work. Overall quite satisfied with Green Oak. Recommend.

I reached out to Green Oak after searching on Yelp (s/o), and was extremely glad I did. Brian H. took me through the process from start to finish, including an insightful explanation of the insurance claim process. The free estimate happened within a few days and ended up being lower than the insurance-assessed quote. He recommended a roof "tune up" as part of the package without pushing or trying to upsell me for more, which i really appreciated. He also accommodated my inquiry of adding on the installation of a bathroom exhaust vent cap, which was missing when we moved in. After being extremely reasonable on pricing and lighting-fast on responses, they scheduled and completed the work the day after signing. The team was efficient and respectful, with a huge attention to detail. TL;DR - Highly recommend giving Brian and Green Oak Exteriors a shot to help fix your home exterior issues, especially when you are in a bind with your insurance company!

Selection: I got 3 roof quotes for some suspected moisture…read moreinvasion and roof issues discovered by another contractor. Both We Get High and V&K gave me around the same quote for a total roof replacement (around 8k, not including plywood prices) and Summit quoted me an eye watering 24k (including materials). I went with V&K for several reasons: - The two workers who arrived were knowledgeable about the roof, patiently looked at the areas I was most worried about, and called the office immediately to discuss their findings - I really enjoyed how attentive and quick the quote process was; Karol was great to work with - I was treated with respect as a female homeowner and nobody asked to speak to my husband (which is often times a problem) The results: From both a house inspection and other contractors, I knew that the roof I have was potentially not done by pros, and there were more problems than expected: - All the facia had to be replaced because of rotting and water ingress - The infrastructure underneath the plywood was shoddy/nonexistent and V&K added extensive plywood support underneath - They also did all the vents and flashing and the ... metal cover things underneath the eaves - The plywood costs were already going to cost around 4.5k but the additional facia costs were an unexpected addition. The total came to about 14k. I have a huge, flat-ish roof, and the price compared to other homeowners and people I spoke to, sounded about right. That said, Karol's team also replaced all my gutters with the facia and were incredibly considerate about all the other things I didn't even think to worry about, and I felt like they threw in a lot of things that were not explicitly charged (2x4 plywood for infrastructure etc) - You can hear each shingle nailed in with precisely 6 nails each - Karol supervised all the work carefully - They swept all the work area with magnets to make sure I wouldn't step on a rusty nail or pop a tire on them, I really appreciated the careful cleanup - Everyone was incredibly hard working and efficient, there were no long lulls or breaks for days so I didn't have to worry about the weather - The team documented all the roofwork in pictures so I can see what was done, when I get a chance I'll clean them of EXIF data and post it I'm very pleased with the job with the team and will be recommending them to all my neighbors. Also, as a security person I want to mention some older reviews where it looks like there were a few victims to impersonation scams--if you read my other reviews this has been happening to lots of legitimate businesses in the area, including two restaurants that I frequent. A few tips: - Always meet with contractors in person at least once - Have a signed contract and negotiate the work in detail - Check that the phone number you use for Zelle matches the yelp profile - Ask for proof of insurance--again, match the company you're working with, with the proof of insurance - Zelle payments will hold the funds for 3 business days, so pay the deposit immediately before workers arrive (and rescind payment if they delay--you can always pay them again later) - Be mindful of your monthly maximum for the Zelle payment (it's a rolling max so in the worst case scenario you wouldn't be able to finish paying for your whole roof replacement unless you use a second account, or a check) Is this fool proof? No, there will always be very smart conmen but I can attest that this is a legitimate business and they did legitimate (good quality) work for me.

They came on time and did a great job cleaning my gutters. They were very quick. Also we're…read moreflexible with their quotes. They took Zelle and were friendly, also were kind enough to do some leaf blowing without any charge and cleared my yard.
