We had Prestige build a deck and fence when we lived in Stafford so when we moved two years later…read moreback to Spotsylvania we hired them again to add a small deck, 6x4, and a vinyl fence. The deck has failed miserably! After 11years, the pressure treated wood has rotted, it is not safe. We are just waiting for our building permit and the stairs and deck will be replaced, but not Prestige! The actually offered nothing as far as a warranty or even a break on a rebuild! I was told by Alex, if they replaced the failure of the installations they have done, the company would go bankrupt! Now, not all the decks and other structures they have done have failed as horribly as ours. They did offer me an estimate to do a new deck, my answer was no even though they cheaper than the company we are using! Alex also told me it was not his companies fault but the government because the arsenic was removed from pressure treated wood. H e did fail mention that the grade of wood that was used was not not premium wood. They used cheaper wood but still charge for a superior product, that is the only explanation for such a horrible failure. They should have offered to replace the structure at their cost if they cared at all about customer service. And no, we didn't count on it the replacement being paid for, we are completely prepared to cover the cost!

I would say the person paying for the job should be present I went through numerous calls and texts with an estimate I never received because the guy wanted to come by again, which would have been the fourth time. I finally texted back and asked point blank what is the estimate? Only to get another oh I will call you. I never did get the estimate and went with another company.

This was basically a tub replacement ,mbing pluand new floor, (End cost $16k) First their salesman was smooth but not technically knowlegable, the quote was very vague," its implied in the contract" was his response to when we would ask specifics..... What was supposed to be a 3 day job ended up being 3 weeks. There were too many call backs to count. The communication (or lack thereof) with their Project Manager was terrible. The worker who did the work had an attitude from the start. The sub contractors they sent did not do what Fletcher had proposed and then wanted more money. They made us sign a Change Order to cover work that was already supposed to be covered (Replacing Subfloor) Then charged us $160 each for four sheets of floor underlayment. (Less than $50 sheet at Lowes) Water overflowed and damaged kitchen ceiling (another sub to fix) Installed Medicine cabinet that would not open due to hitting sink faucet. Construction debris sat in driveway for 3 weeks. Dismal Project Management, awful communication, HIGH Price. Dont use Fletcher !

The experience was mixed. While the deck damage repair WAS done on schedule and price, be wary of…read morethe pricing and the payment schedule. Things to consider: (1) There is no FREE ESTIMATE. You are charged at least $850.00 for him to visit your property to review the work that is needed to be performed. That fee is added to your final bill. (2) His claims of STONEWOOD are suspect. His is extremely evasive when additional information is requested - referring you to the "internet". When one does a web search on "STONEWOOD", it goes his web site. He REFUSES to provide any information on that product, including an MSDS. His price for "STONEWOOD" is at least 100% times of that of what seems to be an equivalent product from Home Depot. He delivers that "STONEWOOD" product in an unmarked 2.5-gallon plastic container. When pressed on the STONEWOOD "lifetime warranty" he claims it's with the manufacturer (which he refuses to provide any additional information AND one cannot find on a web search) warranty, not with him. (3) His "Deep Wood Fungus Killer" seems to be nothing more than a highly concentrated bleach solution. (4) He WILL NOT allow you to purchase your own supplies. He claims his "4 times retail" charge is needed to allow him to pay his subcontractors. (5) The payment schedule in his contact is biased toward him. He demands cash/check payment with every milestone the he defines. He does not accept credit card.

Can't recommend 9hamemrs highly enough. 9hammers contacted us immediately after sending a quote…read morerequest from Angi's List for a deck remodel. Tony, the salesman, came out on a weekend (a time convenient for us) and spent two hours going over every aspect of our deck. Tony was very honest and transparent about what we needed, what we might need when the deck boards were taken up, and what we could skip to save money. At no point did we feel like Tony was trying to upsell us or make us spend more money than necessary. I've never had such an honest experience with a salesman. Once Tony left, it was clear we wanted to use 9hammers for our deck remodel. When it came time to do the project, the work was quick and the quality was unreal. It was apparent that 9hammers took ownership of the project and made sure they did it correctly. After they took up our existing deck boards, they determined that whoever did the existing deck did a terrible job, and the owner got on the phone with us and explained step-by-step what they would need to do to get the deck up to code and last us for years. The final product was beyond what we could have imagined and we could not be happier with our deck. Following the project, Tony and the owner Ray followed up to ensure the project was done to our satisfaction. We are so pleased with the quality of 9hammers, we are already considering them for another project. If you want quality work, attention to detain, honest evaluation, and professional treatment, call 9hammers.

I cannot say enough good things about 9Hammers. July 2020, we had a violent storm with…read moremicro-bursts blow through with very high winds, hail, rain, etc... that sent a tree limb through our roof. The insurance adjuster was, very poor, at best. No in-house inspectors sent. Using third party inspectors, they failed to even see a majority of the damage. This went on for about 9 months. 9Hammers was very involved in getting the re-inspections done when the third party inspection reports came back without noting the scope of the damage, and the current condition of the roof. 9Hammers was finally able to perform an inspection with the 3rd party inspector. Several more emails back and forth to ensure the repairs were done properly, and we now have the repair completed, 11 months after the damage occurred. Had it not been for 9Hammers, we would have had a repair completed that would have no warranty, along with a hole left in the sheathing. Ray and Chuck were very professional. Having been on the CC line to the emails to the adjuster, they were also very professional with the insurance company, despite the "shenanigans" the insurance adjuster was pulling. I do not know how they stayed so patient throughout this process. I highly recommend them for any roof work, and will also be using them when it is time to redo our decks. Great warranty on the roof as well. Thank you guys so much!!
