While I was told to check this out by a family member who said they would have some brands geared towards farmers. We found it in a non-descriptive shopping mall in Rochester and it is a Large store with many departments. I was just looking at the men's clothing we did walk by the fishing section which was pretty big. They had two sections of men "men's clothing, one in the outdoor department and then another in basic menswear department. The brands were pretty typical. In fact they had Milwaukee shirts for women, but I didn't see any for men that was kind of the brand that was hoping they have for men. I was actually hoping for more regional clothing, but that was a wish that did not appear. The store smells like offgassing imported items and I'll tell you what Canadian tire a big chain in Canada smelled the same way. The checker was helpful. He allowed me to get into the discount club which gave me discount on the two shirts. I purchased. I enjoyed the ice fishing sheds in the front of the store. read more

Also bought a gift card and gummy worms. The store is flipped around compared to Lakeville store. Literally 1 cashier, so I did self checkout. Horrible experience. Ordered a gun online. The one I needed was hard to find, but I found it at the Rochester MN store. Drove the 82 miles and bought it. Had to wait for background check. Background check was delayed likely due to High Volume of requests at the Federal Background check office. I drove home and called them the next day to check on the status of the background check. Not back yet, and was told I'd be contacted when it was back. 6 hours later I recieve this email: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "YOUR ORDER IS READY! Hello david, We want to remind you that your order #MB6898968 is ready for pickup at Rochester, MN Fleet Farm store. Instructions for pickup and store information are listed below. Was told it was not ready yet. Background check was not back. I spoke with the manager. I showed him the text and email I had received. He was extremely dismissive. Gaslit me. Told me I should have waited for a confirmation phone call (first I had heard of this). Told me the emails and texts were automated and he had no control of them. Took no responsibility for my inconvenience. I asked to be compensated for my time and gas. He replied, "I'm not compensating you for anything!!" It got a bit heated. SCAMMERS!! I placed an order on line for a pair of Costa sunglasses. Received an email mins later that the order was accepted and they would send an email when they were being shipped. Credit card was ran and processed. About an hour later received another email stating that my order was cancelled because they could not verify my information. I don't understand how they ran my card, sent me an email and they couldn't verify my information?!?! I spoke with Brittney at customer service, refused to give me any information why they cancelled my order. She told me that within 12hrs of receiving the cancellation email, my card would be refunded. My card still shows an active charge with out any attempt for refund. This was my first order with these guys. They seem to have a lot of stuff I would be interested in purchasing. After this situation there will not be another. read more

Stopped in on a Friday night for salsa mix! Store seemed neat and clean, although we only walked through the front part of the store. Only complaint is that there was a very strong chemical smell when you first walk in. Seemed hazardous to breathe in but we did survive the few minutes we were there. Pretty much self service besides a cashier for checking out. I didn't really see anyone working out on the floor. Overall looks/seems like a decent store. Prices seem fair. Your store is becoming the most ridiculous store to shop at. March 18 I was in and shopped your entire store. Which I purchased some kids clothes, electric filet knife and pair of shoes. I choose self check right next to the person monitoring lanes paid for the items and she approved. Go to leave the doors with no tags on any of the items go through doors and alarm goes off. Which someone from security was tripping. I brought what I had back into the store so the clerk could go through it. Which she stated she had seen what I had bought and nothing should have tags on it. She waived the items in front of the tag detector it took 4 times before it went off which tells me that it was being controlled from security. Only to fine no items with security tags on them. I had done nothing wrong and unnecessary harassment. read more

All of a sudden they have a Rewards program, the HELP buttons have disappeared and when my wife went to the Hudson store with a list not only did she have trouble finding what she needed off my list, she said it was impossible to find any help. NO ONE! Other customers were asking her where stuff was. She said five other people asked HER for HELP, one in a wheelchair. OK, it was a Tuesday, but is that any excuse?? Understaffed? Maybe. Have we seen a change from a SERVICE store to a PROFIT store??? She related that checkout was also a nightmare! Loooooong lines. When she got her turn the cashier couldn't find our new REWARDS account, the one we recently signed up for and have already used a couple times. The cart was full enough she didn't want to just walk away without the NEW REWARDS. OK, this is new but shouldn't they have their "stuff" together enough to deal with it? Finally got a manager to set it right .... should it take a high level manager to deal with a new program?? C'mon Fleet Farm! You've been one of our GO TO PLACES for YEARS, literally! There was 5 of us shopping and 2 were special needs tennagers we spent $200 on winter apparel. The one 17 year old went to look around "special needs" but does ok by himself looking around in a store. We went to leave and the secret shopper stopped the 2 boys while the 2 adults where at van buckling the baby in "both boys special needs" and said one had stole a $10 knife and tried to force him back in the store without saying who he was and scared both of them so the other one said he not going with you because he a stranger at this point his sister seen what was happening and went over there he told her she said sorry she would pay for it and explained he special needs he said no locked him in a room and would not let her in. The cops came realized he was special needs got him out of the room and talked to him and was very nice but did need to truss pass him from there and that was fine. They need to realize one a minor can not be questioned without a adult and especially a special needs person. read more

just a note to say this was the first time I visited another fleet farm besides my usual Lakeville location. I visited on a Saturday evening 630pm, and they had TWO of 16+ lanes open with 5+ people in each line. i was trying to buy two items. multiple staff standing around, no one checking anyone else out. Ordered three items online on Black Friday. Two of the three shipped and were delivered. I received an email today saying one item was cancelled. No reason why either. I looked on the website and it shows no sign of the item being out of stock. So I called the customer service number in the email and asked why it was cancelled. The woman says there are none in the inventory. I tell her I'm still able to buy the same thing on the website (it's full price now, and not sale price). And then she says it must not be updated and she doesn't know what to tell me. So I ask if there's any way to change the size or the color of the item and she says no, with no explanation other than no we can't. Very aggravating considering the item was on sale and was cancelled 15 days before Christmas and I get told "I don't know what to tell you." read more

The store is fine in general and I have shopped here for years. However they have never strictly enforced Minnesota's mask mandate. Every time I have been in people walk in without a mask and nothing is said. Also lots of people "wearing" their mask below their chin. I understand it's hard but they don't even seem to try outside is a sign asking you to wear a mask. read more

I have spent $444.42 just online with Mills Fleet Farm in the last 4 months. I placed an order that included 2 lb bags of caramels. I received a call 4 days later telling me they were out of them. I said that's fine just replace them with the 1 lb bags. I was told NO, NO WAY, NOT GONNA HAPPEN. I explained my daughters graduation party was that weekend and I really needed them. I spoke with 2 different representatives that made it clear they couldn't care less if I every did business with their company again, so I'm not! The very simple fact of the matter is: Good companies with good products, have good customer service in place in order to bolster the customer's experience. The moral of the story is: You get what you give. If you are giving bad customer service, you'll get negative reactions. Good customer service, gets positive customer reactions. This review is for the new Fleet Farm off Hwy 63. I never liked the old one, I could always smell animal feed and got nauseated by it. BUT the new Fleet Farm is awesome. I just finished X-Mas shopping and got 80% of it done at Fleet Farm. I like their selection better than Target and it does get crowded like Wal-Mart-but their is more than enough room for everyone to move about. I like their winter apparel selection-durable, nice price-looks good and warm(this is Minnesota). They have quite a furniture selection, plus a really good power tools selection-better price on that stuff than Lowe's, I but most of my pup's toys and treats here also-American made, gives me piece of mind there, and he loves it. Did I mention the candy selection(oh, boy!) everything from their unique brands to Lindt chocolates. They also have fair prices on tires, but I am kind sold on the place I've always gone too. I highly recommend this store to ANYONE-you'd be surprised what you come out with! Friendly staff and you get a ticket with 4 cents off a gallon of gas at their gast station. The company has a horrible online system. Ordered something and it is being picked. 3 plus hours later, you go there to see if you can find it and customer service directs you to an area where the product is supposed to be. I couldn't find it and grabbed someone to help and they try send you back. After insisting they go find it for you they pass it onto someone in the back who can't find it either. They have no clue of the quantity on hand is right. If it isn't there, best they can do is direct you to another store where the computer says the product is. Only problem is they cannot tell if it is physically there. They cannot ship store to store. They cannot tell where exactly the item is on the shelf. They cannot tell you more than some have arrived and some have sold but if they don't, you can cancel the order or they will. I will never order anything online from them again since they have no way to ensure if I will ever get it or where it is. read more

Mills Fleet Farm is one of my most favorite stores. The chain was actually started in the mid 1950's to sell farm supplies and the like, but has become much more than a farm store to many people. Fleet Farm sells a large variety of stuff, most at below Wal-Mart prices, too! Farm equipment aside, Fleet Farm has good prices and a ridiculously large selection of home improvement items, clothing (jeans especally), automotive products, hunting and camping gear, and a (surprisingly good) housewares department. They also have a snacks/magazine department and an electronics department, which are mostly not worth mentioning It should be noted that they have a better selection of TV antennas and mounting hardware than any other local chain. During the Christmas season, the store always has a large selection of toys in their annual Toyland department. What makes their selection unique is that they have more non-electronic toys than most other retailers (such as Wal-Mart and Target). The Fleet Farm gas station usually sells gas for two or three cents lower the lowest chain price (which is usually Kwik Trip). Note: Most of this review is based upon old Fleet Farm. I've been in the new one, but haven't really explored the place yet. read more

I called customer service to ask about finding someone's gift registry because I couldn't find it online. I was disappointed when the girl I talked to said you can only view it at the store. I really didn't want to drive 80 miles round trip to find out all items selected were already purchased or they just had gift cards they wanted. I told her to forget it then. I am so disappointed! On November 5,2021 I ordered 2 Christmas toys for my grandkid. Thinking this was enough time to receive it before Christmas since I had a feeling these were going to sell out. Well... when I opened the box it was not my items & the receipt was someone else's. I called the cus service number & spoke with Gloria ( not helpful ) I told her I think someone mixed up the shipping labels which she confirmed & stated my box was being sent back to warehouse. She then told me unfortunately we are sold out of 1 toy & low stock of the other, & she can't promise me I will get them. Unfortunately they can't hold the returned box with my items in there & ship them to me, she would have to put a new order through but since they are sold out I will receive my money back! I don't want my money back I want the 2 toys I promised my grandkids i would get them. No one has them now everywhere is sold out! I don't understand how this was obviously their fault & I get punished for it! If my box is being returned why can't they do what should of been done the first time and put the correct shipping label on it ?!! This truly is an unfortunate situation since I have been a loyal customer for years & have to now use another company to shop at! My husband and I have been shopping at the old Fleet Farm and now the newer store for around 35 years. Recently I have noticed lots of family dogs in the store. About a week ago I stopped in for some bird seed and while walking I slipped on some dog feces. I did bring it to someone's attention so that they could get it cleaned up to prevent someone else from slipping. I am a dog lover too, but I don't think they belong in the store. I was told by an employee that they have to allow all dogs in the store and they can't ask the owners any questions about the dogs. What is this country coming to? If Fleet Farm continues to allow this, they will be opening themselves up for lawsuits. read more

I've been shopping at Fleet Farm for many years but this location is very hit and miss when it comes to customer service and I have had enough. Why does this location just NOT get it when it comes to assisting the customer and LISTENING? I am sick of having my time wasted in the aisles and at checkout, then getting lip if I try to explain anything-just this morning at checkout when the clerk wouldn't stop ringing items up so the coupon would reflect the purchase discount. I held up my hand and started to explain, then in frustration said forget it, put the stuff back, whereupon I got a snippy I'm not a mind reader. I don't need it-neither do I need a clerk who interrupts me to take a telephone call and wanders off while talking on the phone. It is very sad to reach this level of frustration at a Fleet Farm Store after decades of shopping Fleet Farm, but when there is a Menards, Lowes, Home Depot and other retailers nearby that are priced within pennies and have consistently well trained and professional service I'm not going to waste my time at this store again. read more

The new store is way better than the old one. Its much larger and newer. I always go here for my RV parts and accessories. The have a very good automotive department too and very good prices on motor oil and tires. I get the gas coupons and save a few bucks that way too. read more

Mills fleet farm is a great place to pick up out door supplies. I just purchased a gas grill for a great price, they also have good prices on grass fertilizer. Its more geared for farmers and men I think but women can find good bargains on things you need for your home. read more

I purchased a grill and received confirmation of the order. After 3 weeks and not receiving the item, I called them for the status and they told me the order had been canceled. I asked them why and they told me they tried to phone me to confirm the order but were not able to reach me so they canceled the order. I never received a phone call and I questioned why they did not email me and they had no explanation. I requested they re-initiate the order at the original selling price and I was told this could not be done, I would have to re-order at a now higher price. I believe this business tactic is somewhat unscrupulous. Buyer beware! I recommend ordering from a more reputable seller like Amazon or large store such as Home Depot. read more

The online order/pick up in store system is now as poor at fulfilling orders as the Farm and Fleet system. I have yet to actually get an online order fulfilled by Farm and Fleet and now I try the Fleet Farm system to find the same. I opened an order online for the Pabst Farms, Oconomowoc location, on Oct 13. This order shows "in process" for over 4 hours as of 530 that evening. So my wife calls to see if it will be ready before the store closes. After 10 min on the phone where they can't even find the order, they finally find that it has been cancelled without any notice to me. In fact, online it still shows as "in process" today, Monday morning. I strongly dislike Farm and Fleet due to their service level and was trying to like Fleet Farm but this just proving that service levels for the customers are continuing to decline and I should take my business elsewhere. read more
