First time ever in one of these stores and I've passed up various Sheels stores. Overall if you've never been to this brand , it's basically a cooler version of a Dicks Sporting goods but with more goods beyond sports. They had a small game room upstairs, the employees were very attentive and know their products. Tons of Minnesota Twins swag that is hard to find anywhere else. Store is clean and well presented! I love Scheels sporting goods stores. I was in Rochester and drove to this store. The parking lot was horizontal and I went in the mall entrance. I've never been here before. Was greeted with a hi as I walked in. Looked for my favorite socks Feetures. The price has gone up, but they last and are comfortable. I bought 2 pairs Feetures Ultra Light socks in white and black. Another pair navy was fir $12.99 so I bought those too. Scheels is literally the only store I know that sells these socks. I also saved on this powdered energy drink. Normally $29, I got fruit punch for 19.99. They have a lot of rubs and barbecue sauces upstairs. They have a large selection of Yeti water bottles. Cashier and other sales people were very friendly. Will return again. Oh they have a cute old time shooting gallery game upstairs. read more

What a great sport store in Rochester! It is going to be more on the pricey side but the selection is unbeatable. They have all different types of sport equipment and clothing to choose from whether you are looking for men, women, or children. When we first moved here we bought a treadmill, six months on we still love it! The price was exactly what we would have paid on Amazon and the functions are exactly what we wanted. I have gone here to get golf shirts as well and they have a great selection for women. They even have a discounted section where you can pick up good finds that they need to push because the next styles for the season have been released. Upstairs they have all your hunting gear and a fun arcade-like game for the kids to enjoy while the adults shop. read more

This will be the store I'll probably be doing much of my Christmas shopping. I have a lot of avid sportsmen in the family. If they don't have it in stock you can easily order it off their website. And you can return it to the store easily if it doesn't fit. I had to do this myself for a pair of Under Amour leggings they shipped in for me from another store. Have your walking shoes on here, its two stories and what seems like acres of everything you can think of for indoor/outdoor activites. read more

Amazing store!!!! Staff is amazing, helpful without being "on your face" and it feels like they really enjoy working here! The checkout process has been very efficient every time I've come to Sheels. Even on a very busy day, I didn't see any lines forming! The layout of the store is awesome and very consumer friendly: apparel is separated by sports. For the runner girls they have an entire section on support bras!!! I was so surprised. Also, a lot of natural light coming into the store, which makes you want to live a healthy life! I had great customer service while I was in there, had 3 employees come up to me and ask me if I need help. I politely told them no, that I was just looking around. The 4th guy came up to me and the same thing happened but this one told me I couldn't shop there unless I had a mask on per "state stature." When actually per the state stature I don't. It states that you don't need to wear one inside if you are alone. read more

This place just opened at the mall and its amazing. Tons of brands. Every spandex thing you could ever buy! I really like it, they have great coffee and fudge too. I bought a pair of nikes there and found the selection was huge, took me almost an hour to decide. read more

It's a massive store. More like an amusement park upstairs. Bowling alley, target shooting, hockey simulation and more. Kids all over on the weekends. Most of the store seems geared towards young athletic clothing and footwear, the main floor. Upstairs is the hunting, fishing and amusements. I didn't find the hunting area as extensive as some other stores but the dozens of wall mounts were fun to see. Forgot to mention they have great fudge in the coffee shop! read more

What a cool store! I got the most awesome Under Amour hoodie with matching pants. Then I wandered into a little candy store area and bought fudge and coffee then into the women's shoes and spent way too much time picking out a pair of running shoes. There is just too many choices! The sales staff are everywhere and super friendly. I also found a children's clothing area and found the cutest Nike outfit for my niece. Everything is top brands high quality and if you inspect the clearance racks you can find great deals, especially over next to the women's shoes. read more

There is little to be found in Rochester, MN, in terms of higher end shotguns, especially those that might be found on a sporting clays range. I was fairly excited at the prospect of looking at some of those that Scheels has, thinking I would trade in some of the firearms that I no longer use. It was disappointing to have them make the assumption that I knew nothing about gun values and to have them low-ball me in appraising those that I brought in. It was not only discouraging. It was insulting. ...wouldn't give them a thought if I were to look at making an addition to my collection. Unless you are willing to pay top retail, go somewhere else, and especially, don't waste your time if you're thinking about making a trade. read more
