Also the person ahead of us complained a bit about the price of his bait, not sure what he got, the cashier handled it well pointing out the posted prices. Zero understanding of working anglers. Or storing slow moving inventory in the range. Bait and range time drove frequency and wallet share - I never shopped elsewhere for shooting, hunting, or fishing gear. The staff is still excellent, but god I miss Jeff's leadership and attention to my kids' archery development. Unless they fix hours and operational priorities, these new guys will lose their loyal base.

Now I would guess most of their business is in upscale casual and outdoor clothing for men and women. Orvis still makes very nice fly fishing equipment - my first really nice fly rod was made by Orvis. This particular store has a convenient location with lots of parking. They have never been particularly busy when I have been in and the staff has always been friendly. Their products are high quality - no fast fashion cheaply made goods here. Orvis has a nice online catalogue so you can get an idea of what is available and they can order it if it is not in stock. I have a soft spot in my heart for Orvis and wish them well.

This store is well stocked and the staff were helpful in pointing me in right direction to find what I was looking for. I ended up buying four pairs of pants.
