You're welcome, Rochester residents... haha! I was curious to find out whether there was a TJ Maxx. I did a search and found this store near Apache Mall. I decided to drive over here to check it out before heading to the mall. This store is in a plaza-mall hybrid. There was lots of parking on a snowy Wednesday afternoon. I parked and headed over to the store. It's an interesting setup where the TJ Maxx-HomeSense store feels like you are in a mall. You go through the main entrance and you walk over to the store in a mall-like setting. However, not all stores are accessible indoors. Many are set up like a plaza where you have an entrance for each store. It's weird. As with most TJ Maxx stores, the purses tend to appear first. I do miss the days when you could readily find Kipling purses. These days, you get Disney and Snoopy ones, which are still up my alley, but aren't as lightweight as Kipling ones. I tend to look at luggage. I had already bought a piece that worked well for my needs, but it never hurts to check this section out. I liked the selection. It had a number of pet duffle bags. It was my first time seeing them at any store's travel section. The face care section is impressive. I have never seen so many face wipes and masked neatly stacked. This store had purple Crocs. I don't own a pair, mainly because I can never find a pair in my size. I was so close here. One day, my dream will come to fruition. The kitchen accessories section made me happy. I found an oil spritzer with a glass base. I've always wanted one and it was at a good price here. Although the base is glass, it's pretty lightweight. I am also a sucker for small appliances. Mainly Dash products were available. I love this brand. I have mini griddle and waffle makers. I didn't need one, but they do make great gifts. The phone accessories section is great, too. I like checking out everything from car phone mounts to portable bank chargers. The lineup wasn't bad. I had a nice woman at the checkout. She looked at my oil spritzer and said that it would be good for plants. That's true, especially for cactuses and succulents that don't require a ton of water. I paid with a credit card. The transaction was straightforward. I thanked the woman and left with my purchase. I'm thrilled that Rochester has a TJ Maxx. It has a decent selection of items that interest me. I'd come back when I'm in southern Rochester. (29)

Simply because there's so much Construction and happenings inside of the store. Everything is basically mismatched and feels out of place compared to shopping at other TJ Maxx stores. I will say compared to other stores, this place is really large and spacious. They have all of their Halloween stuff up but I wasn't too impressed with their selection. Especially in their men's department. Overall, I would take a pass coming here.

The store is in the subway level and very close to the Mayo Methodist Hospital and I passed by it everyday. I had some time and needed a little "pick-me-up" and levity one afternoon. This store has some really amazing and fun items that put a smile on your face. You can find gifts for yourself, friends and family here and the ladies working here have some great gift ideas depending on what you need. The other great thing about this place is the happy vibe that the people who work here...the ladies are really sweet and caring, and are the epitome of Upper Midwestern hospitality. I am new to the world of Five Below. I love what it offers, but the name still throws me off…read more Five below what? I still ask myself that question whenever I see the sign. It's supposed to offer items that are $5 and under. The problem putting a price in the store name is accounting for price hikes. There are some items that are over this price, such as record players. It's essentially more upscale than dollar stores with cool items. Let's move on. I spent too much time thinking about this store's name. What floors me is finding popular Squishmallows plushies for $6 each. I am in my happy place when I set foot and see them greeting me. Yes, the price went up by $1, but the price is still ridiculously cheap. I looked at both the food ones (s'mores and green bubble tea) and the Easter ones (chicks and gnomes) and bought them. It is now my favourite place for all my Squishmallows needs and the selection at this specific store is excellent. The candy section is deadly. Want a solid gummy bear? It's here. Ice Cubes gum? I pick up a container every time I'm here. The snacks are impressive. It has a decent variety of Asian snacks, such as Pocky. It was a pleasant surprise. Finding ramen here was also an unexpected, but cool find. I ended up getting a bag of Boom Chicka Pop dark chocolate drizzle popcorn. I have never seen this variety before. I ate the whole bag when I returned home (I never got around to eating it on the plane) and it was so good. There are a lot of Star Wars toys and figurines. They are cheap and adorable. I got a Grogu Funko mini and love it. The only weird thing about the store is the lineup to pay for your items. It really isn't clear where you should be. I figured out that the lineup hugs the aisle with the drinks and ramen. if you're facing the exit, the lineup starts on the right and then snakes back and forth through the next set of aisles. Okay. If you want to be confused, come here. I had a friendly woman cash me out. She was great commenting on the popcorn that I was purchasing. You can get a reusable bag for 25 cents. I opted for it. I may be one of the few people in Markham with a Five Below blue reusable bag. I paid with a debit card. All went well. I thanked her and walked out the door. There is plenty of parking in the lot. It's located next to Petco, in the south part of Rochester. I like this Below Zero better than the one I frequent in Eagan. The product selection is wonderful. Whenever I'm back in my former neighbourhood, I'll definitely stop by and shop here again. (108)
