I'm more of a Marshalls kind of girl but I like the home goods part of this store. Their clothing selection could be a little more diverse.

We travel a great deal and always stop at TJ Maxx. This is--if not the best--one of the better stores they operate. Good selection!

My love for Macy's happened years after I had left living in Rochester. I like that there are always sales going on. Macy's ignited my love for Style & Co. clothing and Kipling handbags. I decided to check out this Macy's. I had never been since it became one. The women's washroom has a couch when you first walk in, which looked classy. The washrooms need better maintenance, though. The stall that I was in was great. I can't say the same about the one next to it. I liked the sale happening on ugly Christmas sweaters. 70% off them is a great deal if you plan on wearing it to the company Christmas party and winning the ugly sweater competition. There are a number of them that will get you that crown or tiara. I loved hitting the Kipling handbag section. It had heavily reduced items. I also saw a bit of a shift with its signature monkey, from the fuzzy one on each back, to silver ones. The fuzzy ones are iconic and cute. The silver ones are definitely easier to clean and maintain. I didn't buy anything, but I loved looking at merchandise that I like, including jewellery. I'd come back and hope that they do something about the washrooms. (25)

I am reviewing Miracle Mile Shopping Center for sentimental reasons. I recently dined at Denny's…read morenext door to this plaza. Although it deems itself as the oldest shopping centre in Rochester, it's really a plaza. It was established in 1952 and there was a major fire in 1971. I'm happy to report that these events were both well before my time! I dropped by this plaza a handful of times as a resident of Rochester. There used to be a gift shop that sold Midwest of Cannon Falls s'mores characters. I bought a few of these characters as Christmas ornaments and a larger one that was a lamp. They are still with me to this day, but this company folded, as did this gift shop. Cannon Falls is maybe a twenty-minute drive northwest of Rochester. I don't recognize that town since I moved away. It's the same about Miracle Mile. Hom Furniture is one of two businesses that rings a bell. There's a new grocery store called Fresh Thyme Market. I exited Highway 52 and you can't miss this supermarket's large sign from it. I'd estimate that there are roughly thirty businesses in this plaza. Olmsted Medical Center is still kicking around, which is the other place that has endured. This plaza is perfect for folks who live close by and don't want the bustling feel of being downtown. This shopping plaza is roughly two blocks away from the Mayo Clinic's St. Mary's Campus. There is plenty of parking at Miracle Mile. I'll need to check this plaza out more closely when I'm back again and it's not my final full day in Minnesota, especially Fresh Thyme Market. It was quite the flashback heading over here. So much change here. Even the Hardee's across the street is gone! (47)

Check out its website for a list of all the stores and services it offers/boasts! http://www.miraclemilerochester.com/mm_002.htm It is also so conveniently located right off of the highway and acts as a frontage road between 2nd St SW & Civic Center drive! :-) I am so glad I had free time to check out the stores last weekend instead of just assuming it was a deserted strip mall! BEST toy store ever! Fabulous 2nd hand shop! Great home decor/gift shop! Medical offices, cleaners, a bakery, a hardware store, a restaurant, a liquor store. It has it all!

The basics are there: a decent sized food court, Barnes & Noble for leisure stroll, and a handful of retailers such as Sheels and Macy's. Would love to see the mall freshen up a bit as some of the interior dates give 00s vibes. But that is more of cosmetics, Hope to see more stores pop up in the future. Agree with one of the other reviewers - an Apple Store would be neat!

In the past, when my mom came down to visit me, we took a photo of it. This mall has changed over the years. It used to have Sears, Herberger's, and Dayton's when I was a resident. All three have closed down since. JC Penney remains as one of the larger anchor stores. Dayton's became Marshall Fields, which is now Macy's. I wish that it were a Macy's when I lived here. I would have shopped at this store all the time! Macy's sells Kipling handbags, which is a brand that I adore. The area where Herberger's used to be has been replaced by a solid wall. I never shopped there, so the wall is fine with me! I didn't like shopping at Sears. I believe that Scheels will take over this spot later on this year. Many of the stores that I frequented at this mall are long gone. Yankee Candle is now a memory. However, Bath and Body Works is still alive and kicking, which made me so happy to recognize something. This mall has improved over the years. When I was here a decade ago, Barnes and Noble was new. It is strategically across from the food court, which is perfect to take a nap on a comfy chair at Barnes and Noble when you are in a food coma. I have had a meal at A&W, which is still there. I recently shopped at JC Penney. I like the Sephora section. The sports apparel section that features Minnesota teams was cheerful and had tons of variety. I took a breather and had a drink at Caribou Coffee, which is smack in the middle of the mall. It was nice. Finally, I visited Love from Minnesota. It has the best Minnesota-themed gifts that I have seen in a while. There is plenty of parking here. It has a nice variety of stores. I'm so glad that it continues to improve. (9)

It has been well over a decade since I last visited it. I broke that streak recently when I returned to my old neighbourhood. I did a pitstop here from Eden Prairie. I then did a quick browse around the store. This store still has a Starbucks, which is likely where my love for the cafe started. A number of us back in the day (we were coincidentally all Canadians living here, employed by the same company) would often come here to get a drink and browse around Target afterwards. The women's washroom was clean. I don't recall ever using it before, so that was cool. The clothing section still makes me happy. It's bright and organized well. I did a brief tour of the produce section. It still looks the same as I had remembered it. Veggies look fresh. Fruits look yummy. No complaints on my end! The checkout area seems to have grown. I could be wrong. I don't remember so many cashiers! It was nice to reminisce. Rochester now has two Target stores. This one is in the north part of the city, which is five minutes away from where I used to live. (13)
