I was a big fan of this mall when I stayed in Rochester for 2 weeks of appointments at the Mayo Clinic.

I am reviewing Miracle Mile Shopping Center for sentimental reasons. I recently dined at Denny's…read morenext door to this plaza. Although it deems itself as the oldest shopping centre in Rochester, it's really a plaza. It was established in 1952 and there was a major fire in 1971. I'm happy to report that these events were both well before my time! I dropped by this plaza a handful of times as a resident of Rochester. There used to be a gift shop that sold Midwest of Cannon Falls s'mores characters. I bought a few of these characters as Christmas ornaments and a larger one that was a lamp. They are still with me to this day, but this company folded, as did this gift shop. Cannon Falls is maybe a twenty-minute drive northwest of Rochester. I don't recognize that town since I moved away. It's the same about Miracle Mile. Hom Furniture is one of two businesses that rings a bell. There's a new grocery store called Fresh Thyme Market. I exited Highway 52 and you can't miss this supermarket's large sign from it. I'd estimate that there are roughly thirty businesses in this plaza. Olmsted Medical Center is still kicking around, which is the other place that has endured. This plaza is perfect for folks who live close by and don't want the bustling feel of being downtown. This shopping plaza is roughly two blocks away from the Mayo Clinic's St. Mary's Campus. There is plenty of parking at Miracle Mile. I'll need to check this plaza out more closely when I'm back again and it's not my final full day in Minnesota, especially Fresh Thyme Market. It was quite the flashback heading over here. So much change here. Even the Hardee's across the street is gone! (47)

Check out its website for a list of all the stores and services it offers/boasts! http://www.miraclemilerochester.com/mm_002.htm It is also so conveniently located right off of the highway and acts as a frontage road between 2nd St SW & Civic Center drive! :-) I am so glad I had free time to check out the stores last weekend instead of just assuming it was a deserted strip mall! BEST toy store ever! Fabulous 2nd hand shop! Great home decor/gift shop! Medical offices, cleaners, a bakery, a hardware store, a restaurant, a liquor store. It has it all!

However; I also love coming randomly throughout the year to get updated clothing items. I typically like to check out under Armour and Nike, the Columbia store also has a separate outlet location as well. Recently, I feel like prices haven't been nearly as good as they used to, but in this economy, who can blame them. I would love to see a little bit more variation in the food court, it's mostly Asian cuisines and Cinnabon. All delicious but would love to see some more options. There's a ton of parking, but if you come on a busy weekend, you may not notice and still have to park far away. Bummed to see some recent retailers, leaving, they've been replaced with stores that my opinion were is great. Overall, a decent shopping trip, it's also in a great location. There's plenty of other stores/eating nearby. I recommend checking out the Twin Cities premium outlets if you haven't been there before.

It's nearly identical to the Aurora Outlet mall back home in Illinois so navigating this building felt like I was back home. There weren't any outdoor vendors, maybe they'll be there in the summer. I want to start off by referencing another review that states they are from California and this is…read morea "small mall" because of that. I am also from California, and a bigger city than them (Los Angeles, while they are from Sacramento which has a population of barely 500k while LA has almost 4 million, so it's pretty hilarious to see a small town guy talking like some big city bigshot), and I can tell you aside maybe two in all of California, the malls were dead - like completely dead - since around 2010. Big, small, doesn't matter, not only WERE they dead, they are STILL dead, the pandemic didn't even cause it, the insane levels of crime surrounding shopping centers and malls, along with the unbelievable prices of things in the state, did. Oakwood mall, however, is a really great place to go. It feels like the 90s again, every storefront IS a store instead of boarded up/fenced off empty nothing making you feel like the place will die off in a few months, there's always people shopping and hanging out, I often see people playing the arcade games in the middle of the walkways or just spending time there to spend time there. Mall culture was something I thought long dead but it's alive and well in Eau Claire somehow and every time I go it makes me nostalgic and happy to see. I've stopped in at basically every store as well (including the ones aimed at women due to my girlfriend) and they always have something worth buying, some new promo worth taking advantage of, other people shopping so there's not this empty feeling, and very kind workers at every store. Not only would return, but do very often!

It was such an incredible experience it really makes you feel like you're flying, and the visuals are so realistic. Definitely a must-do if you visit! I also loved all the food options. There are so many places to choose from, and everything I had was delicious. It's nice being able to take a break from walking around and enjoy a good meal without even leaving the mall.Another favorite was the axe throwing it was SO fun and something different from the usual mall activities. It added a really exciting, adventurous vibe to the day and made the whole experience even more memorable. The atmosphere throughout the mall is lively, clean, and full of energy. There's something for everyone shopping, entertainment, food, and unique attractions all in one place. It's perfect for a fun day out with friends or family.I would 100% recommend visiting, and I can't wait to go back and try even more things next time!

The cool thing about this is that you can catch the train right into the place just about. I had a 9:30 flight that was arriving in to Minneapolis and of course I couldn't check into my hotel. I bought an all day train pass and made my way. The coolest thing is that there are lockers of various sizes so you can store your luggage (for a nominal fee) and wander around this massive mall, got to about 1/3rd of it. I was taken back to the the 90's with the old school music playing and some of the stores that I thought didn't exist anymore. There were at least two of the same store but just on different levels or sides of the part of the mall I was in. The amusement park in the mall with the rollercoaster and kiddie rides and roaming characters was awesome. I went back the aquarium, which I would have gone into but it was filled with kids, and honestly it was too early :) Had a great meal at the crepe restaurant. If I was a senior retired, its a great nifty 50s walking spot or just getting out people watch. I would definitely try to go back to see the other parts and to stay the hell out of the cold weather this California gal is not used too.

Some shops are empty and others are being remodeled and opening again. I visited on a Friday (Valentine's Day) and it was pretty steady but not packed, I could find a place to sit down and relax by myself if I wanted to (and I did!) Shop selection is meh, I went into a few but didn't find anything to purchase which is just fine by me - I needed a place to hang out that was warm and this was it! Bubble tea, Caribou and smoothies to choose from - I didn't see a food court but I wasn't particularly looking.

There's only a handful of store I really shop at here but I'm sure overall there's something for everyone. I feel like Ridgedale has been one of the consistent malls (as far as growing up in MN and seeing a lot of malls struggle to keep stores) that never felt like it was closing. I do wish they would decorate more especially for the holidays. They have the Santa pop up in the middle of the mall which is cute but that's its own experience. Also a somewhat better food court would be cool, but there are a ton of options for food outside of the mall/in the area. They do host cool events from time to time like the traveling Hello Kitty Cafe, which is cool.
