Great mall in the heart of Rochester / home to Mayo Clinic. It surprisingly has decent volume and size compared to other suburban malls. The basics are there: a decent sized food court, Barnes & Noble for leisure stroll, and a handful of retailers such as Sheels and Macy's. Would love to see the mall freshen up a bit as some of the interior dates give 00s vibes. But that is more of cosmetics, Hope to see more stores pop up in the future. My first time shopping Apache Mall. First, they open late. Some of the anchor stores open earlier. It was fairly clean with a lot of walkers. Not many clothing options. The food options are minimal too. I will recommend a strawberry watermelon lemonade from Charley's. read more

Hit or miss with shops. Bathroom was really dirty soap empty super stuffed trash cans that was kind of unpleasant to see. The Chinese place in the food court is PERFECT mall food what a pleasant surprise. read more

The major mall in Rochester is Apache Mall. You can't miss the water tower. I didn't take a pic of it this time, as I wasn't parked on that side of the mall. In the past, when my mom came down to visit me, we took a photo of it. This mall has changed over the years. It used to have Sears, Herberger's, and Dayton's when I was a resident. All three have closed down since. JC Penney remains as one of the larger anchor stores. Dayton's became Marshall Fields, which is now Macy's. I wish that it were a Macy's when I lived here. I would have shopped at this store all the time! Macy's sells Kipling handbags, which is a brand that I adore. The area where Herberger's used to be has been replaced by a solid wall. I never shopped there, so the wall is fine with me! I didn't like shopping at Sears. I believe that Scheels will take over this spot later on this year. Many of the stores that I frequented at this mall are long gone. Yankee Candle is now a memory. However, Bath and Body Works is still alive and kicking, which made me so happy to recognize something. This mall has improved over the years. When I was here a decade ago, Barnes and Noble was new. It is strategically across from the food court, which is perfect to take a nap on a comfy chair at Barnes and Noble when you are in a food coma. I have had a meal at A&W, which is still there. I recently shopped at JC Penney. I like the Sephora section. The sports apparel section that features Minnesota teams was cheerful and had tons of variety. I took a breather and had a drink at Caribou Coffee, which is smack in the middle of the mall. It was nice. Finally, I visited Love from Minnesota. It has the best Minnesota-themed gifts that I have seen in a while. There is plenty of parking here. It has a nice variety of stores. I'm so glad that it continues to improve. (9) read more

First time coming here. It's great to see a thriving mall in today's times. Great variety of stores, it's mostly occupied as well, great food court selection as well. Parking isn't too bad either. I definitely do wish there were more variety of stores that were offered but overall, your typical stores you'd expect from a mall are here. read more

I would give this place first star if it had an apple store. I know apple can't put a store in every single mall, but it sucks to have to go to the cities to go to a apple store. The bookstore is really, really nice and has a lot of stuff. The only "bad" experiene I had was when I went to Sheels to buy a pair of shoes, but they weren't in stock even though the website said the store had them. I know that isn't the mall's fault, but it was annoying to have to go to the mall and then come home without shoes and have to buy them online. There is a good number of security people, but i never see any problems. Mall is right near the big road so it's easy to get to. 4 stars! I grew up in Rochester for five years while I was attending high school. This place was one of the locations where a lot of high school kids like to hang out. Anyways, there are not much of stores here but since this is the only mall, you will see a lot of different nationalities come shop here because of the Mayo Clinic. The only store like here is Macys. I feel like their Macys is not as messy and busy like the cities. Their food court is good. Enjoy while you are in Rochester. read more

If you compare this to the Oak Park Mall in Austin, you gotta winner. But if you compare Apache Mall to anything in the Twin Cities(MOA, Rosedale, Burnsville or my favorite-Southdale) you may be disappointed. Store anchors are Sears, Herberger's, JcPenney, Macy's and Barnes and Noble. For shopping it is OK, because there is nothing else around for decent shopping for 80 miles. Macy's used to be Marshall Field's which was Dayton-Hudson. I find the new Macy's to resemble K-mart with prices much higher-nothing special. I rarely visit Sears as their stock looks as though they are going under any day now. About the only stores I visit are B&N and JCPenney when they have a big sale. Most of the mall is standard fare, be aware on nights and weekends LOTS of local kids looking for trouble are trolling about. If you want a serious shopping/exercise experience head up to Bloomington to Mall Of America. For a fun and memorable shopping experience, tool on to Nicollet Mall at X-mas and take in the Holi-Dazzle parade. Save Apache Mall for when your favorite Abercrombie sweater needs replaced or for book shopping. Dining options are few-Applebes and an Asian place, also standard food court venues. read more

I was a big fan of this mall when I stayed in Rochester for 2 weeks of appointments at the Mayo Clinic. Our hotel had a free bus to take us to/from Apache Mall. It's not a huge mall, so I was able to get around without too much pain. Wheelchairs are available for rent if needed. The food court was decent. There was a nice selection of reasonably priced stores, nothing really high end. Enough to be able to get souvenirs for everyone back home. The absolute best part of this mall? Being in Minnesota, there's no retail tax on "necessary" items like clothes! read more

So This is the only mall in Rochester, so basically this is the place to shop, play ground for kids. Overall is a good mall with good choices. Love my Gymboree for my kids. Good place for workout. Coming here every Sunday for family day during winter time. read more

This mall is not too bad. It is doing well probably because Rochester is isolated from any other larger cities. The variety of stores were decent but nothing really high end, just your basics. Last time I was here it was doing well and hope it does not have a case of the dying mall virus like so many shopping centers seem to have these days. read more

I love this mall it has something for everyone. With a good variety of stores to choose from and Scheels just opened there. It's huge wit ha department for everything. They even had games. Touch duck hunter when you go in, a big buck hunter with a huge screen, there was even a hockey game to try out there equipment on. I was impressed. read more

BF and I came to Apache Mall one night after dinner to walk around. From the outside I wasn't expecting much, with JC Penney's and Sears being two of the anchor stores. As we did a lap of the mall, what on earth did we see...Coach?! What the heck? There's a Coach store at Apache Mall! This mall isn't so bad after all. read more

Apache is a great mall a lot of really cool stores and a really nice food court however sometimes it can get over crowded.

It's not the best mall ever, but it's not horrible. I love that they have a Barnes & Noble, and there are some good stores, but there's not a wide variety of store types. It's fairly typical, but an okay mall to just wander around in or if you're in a pinch for something (like running out of your usual Bath & Body Works products because you've been in Rochester longer than you planned on!) read more

This place is just OK. Maybe I am just spoiled by the awesomeness of my "home" mall of Woodfield in Chicago, but this one just seems little and sad. They have your basic offerings (department stores, VS, Coach, Buckle, TCP, etc) but the prices seemed too expensive for what they were and for the area. I did like the setup of the food court, however, and the little kids play area seemed nice. I bought a few things here, but it was really No Big Deal. It was something to do that day, however, so that's all I can ask for! read more

The Rochester Apache Mall. The Apache Mall located off of county 22 and highway 14 is located two miles from the heart of downtown(MAYO CLINIC) and still brings in business daily. The Apache Mall consist of a large food court with names like A&W,Subway,Arby's,Taco Bell and Sbarro Pizza, and over 60 shopping centers with names like SEARS ,Macy's,Gamestop,Spencers,Radio Shack and JcPenny. Although not as big as other malls The Apache still seems to thrive on local and international clients alike. So if You are every in need of something special you can count the Apache Mall to have it. read more

Okay, I don't get the low stars here. Sure, it isn't the biggest and best mall ever (hence no 5 stars) HOWEVER, for it being a mall in Rochester, MN it is pretty damn good. It is by no means a 'dying mall'. The mall anchors are Sears, Herberger's, JC Penney, Macy's and Barnes and Noble. There are a ton of women's clothing stores inside, a nice large food court as well as 2 restaurants: Applebee's and HuHot (mongolian bbq). There are also a lot of kids toy stores as well as your typical mall stores of things you don't need but want. read more

This is a tiny mall that mainly just has clothing stores and restaurants. Definitely don't try to find a crafts store here. This isn't like other cities where you can go to one destination mall and come out with everything you need. I am surprised by how many children's clothing stores are in this tiny mall! read more

Complaint about Photo with Santa service at JC Penney Court. Every year I take my family to Apache Mall to take photo with Santa for a fee. In the previous years we were allowed to snap some photos using my phone so we can share photos on facebook with family and friend but this year the girls working there were so rude and told us we can't. My friend had to go to a side and capture at angle that we can't look at him directly. We ended up not having any good picture with Santa. Honestly we purchase their photo package not because we want their photo prints but we want to take pictures with Santa using our own phone. Their photo quality is garbage that every year we throw away and not keeping them. Only the photos taken by our phone have good enough quality to keep and share on facebook.. I main point of paying for their photo package so we can take pictures with Santa with our phone for better quality and this year we paid $43 for nothing. If they don't allow us to do this, then we will definitely not buying their service again next year. And I'm sure other people bring their family there wanting to do the same. My family paid $43 and did not have any good photos with Santa this year. They really ruined my Christmas spirit. Apache Mall's management and Tiny Prints please look into this. read more
