I grew up not far from this city and enjoyed my time at the mall because it was so interactive and low times have changed sadly so things are different...but I can honestly say I don't understand how place can fall so low and become so beat up with no kind of maintenance happening or upgrades to ensure the mall can still thrive at its best. Sadly now it is a place that has no direction anymore and management is non existent that's for sure. I took up a part time job with the mall and the things I found out were no shocking but were at the same time. Bad financial choices over and over again from what I could gather from but at what point do you learn... apparently there old manager spent 8 grand on candy for an event and had to give all of it away. Like what are we doing really. Anyways don't expect the bathrooms to improve or anything because there is no budget or whoever makes the big decisions won't out the funding into it anymore but then why not be done all together right? Just had to share my insight and the hard truth. Hope to see the mall make strides foreword to improve but hopes are low. read more

I made a post about the Valley View Mall La Crosse on their event page to show my concern as a customer and they blocked me!!! Just goes to show you. I am usually a very private person, but this needs to be shared. Here is my post: I was having second thoughts of going again this year, (Easter Egg Hunt Event) because last year was a disaster! I mean, they did take our feedback which was nice, but still, a kid went missing, the cops were called, there were no eggs for mine and my friends kids. There was no separation of ages, NO ONE was watching the kids in the bouncy house, it was so unorganized, two of my girlfriend's kids got hurt. Kids knocking over other kids, It was horrible. I honestly had no idea who was running this shit show. All these factors weighed on my decision. HOWEVER, now I was told who the dj that will be there....For a business that says they are all about the La Crosse community and love our city, is picking a guy who has done nothing but vandilze and puke on our city. It's a disgrace, even outside the mall! So I really don't think we are attending and lot of other parents feel the same way. Good luck with your event, so heads up to valley view mall I know your trying to get this back to it's life like in the 80s and 90s. read more

As far as Malls go this one needs a major overhaul. To many empty stores. Used to be a Macy's, it's gone. Herbergers (think i spelled it right) is going out of business. Don't think there were anymore than 50 people there the day I was. It's a nice sized mall, just nothing going on. Went there to purchase incense from Spencer's and to get my favorite candles from Yankee Candle. The food court left a whole lot to be desired. If you are hungry go somewhere else. read more

I use to live closer to La Crosse, so this was the mall I shopped at routinely. Had not been there in some time, so I was looking forward to shopping at some of my favorite stores. The trip was quite disappointing. Many store fronts were empty. The stores that remained were geared to teens and 20-somethings - Hollister, Pac Sun, Aeropostale and the like. Restaurant choices were just as disappointing - the food court is composed of 2 chinese, a hot dog and a pizza place - all fast food. I asked an employee at a nearby kiosk if there was a restaurant attached to the mall that I had missed and was told "drive out of the mall, there are resta urants all around'. Leaving the mall was not an option for me that day. I was dropped off there while my car was in the shop - and I was not in the mood to walk around outside in the rain to find healthy, good food. The mall is anchored by major department stores - Macys, Herbergers, Sears, JC Penney - which were loaded with racks of discounted clothing, but nothing that would stand out in a crowd, or last more than a few washings. If you are looking for style, quality, and places to eat that will inspire health and an appreciation of good food, you're better off going to Eau Claire, Minneapolis or Madison - skip Valley View Mall. read more

Expected better for the size of the La Crosse area. Lots of empty storefronts, very limited eating options, and small, dirty play area for kids. The bathrooms are outdated and feel dirty, mostly due to age. Outdated and feels old. read more

We thought this place was deserted. There was maybe 20-30 people in the whole place. It's a tiny mall, basic staples like Aunty Ann's, torrid, JCP, etc. The mall is outdated and clearly going to be closed soon like every other mall in America. We just randomly stopped there and now we can see why they're all going out of business. read more

A great mall for the La Crosse area. Not particularly huge, but it has just about everything you'd need. Very clean and generally not too busy or crowded compared to other malls I've been to. read more

The mall changes a lot, it has some basic stores nothing really spectacular or anything no stores you wouldn't find anywhere else accept maybe the nortic creamery which has good cheese and stuff. Good little one story mall read more

I wanted to buy gift certificates to Valley View Mall for door prizes for our Christmas party. I wanted two twenty-five gift certificates. When I finally found the office, through the maze of hallways, I was so disappointed to find out that they do not give you gift certificates to the stores in the mall. You have to buy preloaded American Express cards, which all the stores do not accept, at a charge of $3.95 each. Why can't you just sell gift certificates to be used in any stores. I was desperate, as I needed to give them to the party planner the next day. Stupid idea! read more

JCPENNYS! There's barely any dressing rooms and yes I know there closing but it's ridiculous!! It's like you can't change anywhere! And they don't have any girl clothes in there girls section and I don't get why they only have sizes 6x to 8 what about the girls that where 10-12. HORRIBLE SERVICE read more
