I want to start off by referencing another review that states they are from California and this is a "small mall" because of that. I am also from California, and a bigger city than them (Los Angeles, while they are from Sacramento which has a population of barely 500k while LA has almost 4 million, so it's pretty hilarious to see a small town guy talking like some big city bigshot), and I can tell you aside maybe two in all of California, the malls were dead - like completely dead - since around 2010. Big, small, doesn't matter, not only WERE they dead, they are STILL dead, the pandemic didn't even cause it, the insane levels of crime surrounding shopping centers and malls, along with the unbelievable prices of things in the state, did. Oakwood mall, however, is a really great place to go. It feels like the 90s again, every storefront IS a store instead of boarded up/fenced off empty nothing making you feel like the place will die off in a few months, there's always people shopping and hanging out, I often see people playing the arcade games in the middle of the walkways or just spending time there to spend time there. Mall culture was something I thought long dead but it's alive and well in Eau Claire somehow and every time I go it makes me nostalgic and happy to see. I've stopped in at basically every store as well (including the ones aimed at women due to my girlfriend) and they always have something worth buying, some new promo worth taking advantage of, other people shopping so there's not this empty feeling, and very kind workers at every store. A lot stores all in one location. There is something for everyone in the family. Then a food and movies.

I came to this mall on a Saturday afternoon. It is pretty nice in comparison to the LaCrosse mall. Has a decent amount of stores open even during the pandemic, good social distancing, and hand sanitizer areas. It was clean. The food court had a nice selection and there is a Chipotle/noodles/ five guys very close by. I thought there was ample parking as well. This location also has an AMC theater but it was closed due to the pandemic. I will for certain be back read more

I only went to 2 stores and both security and the stores managers came out and asked me to empty my bag and pockets thinking I was stealing. When I emptied my pockets and bag and there was not stolen products they accused me of hiding them somewhere or taking them out to my car. They banned me when I did nothing wrong and escorted me off the property. Very disappointed in this malls staff. read more

This is a pretty typical shopping center, but it has a decent amount of stores in it. You have your typical things like: Zales, Scheel's, Younkers, JC Penneys, Buckle, Aeropostale, Old Navy, Hot Topic, Spencer's, Sears. But then there are also a nice variety of different stores like Cherry Pickers which is a consignment shop of sorts. Earthbound: a very chic hippie store. It's relatively clean, the food court has good options, and it is definitely a great way to waste a large portion of your day. read more

Quite small for a mall compared to other mall. I'm from California and we have malls much bigger than this mall. I would come again though. They have good stores and it was quite slow. It wasn't busy at all. There's only one story. I'm used to attending two stories mall. Clean mall. Great variety of food in the food court. read more

Big mall, has just about everything you could ever need/want. But the stores do seem to be overpriced, and sometimes the salesmen who operate the small stands in the center can be a little too...aggressive with their sales tactics. Overall, if your looking for something, chances are its at the mall...for a price. read more

All time favorite mall in Eau Claire cause it's the only one haha. Standard mall but it has it all.

This mall has it all! There's something for everyone here! It's also very well laid out; it doesn't seem too big, but there's still such good variety. I love making the trip to my hometown to shop here! read more
