The store sells prepackaged sets for each of the arts classes that can be picked up in store. However, you are paying for convenience. It is waay more cost effective to buy the materials you need yourself from somewhere else, like Amazon, Blick (which has student discounts) etc. Students also frequently sell their lightly used kits when done with the class if they don't need it anymore, which is a cost effective and convenient way to get supplies. I like to support small businesses, but being a broke student and the awful experience I've had in the store.. I won't be returning and would advise against going here. I have been in twice, and both were awful experiences. Mike and the employee were condescending, passive aggressive and rude, making fun of me for asking if they had certain supplies because I was just a 'hobbyist'. It also took 20 minutes to get their attention, and I was the only one in the store. Both Mike and the male employee tried to mansplain to me the differences in paint between gouache and watercolor. Really, guys? I could go into more detail about both very negative experiences, but this lays out most of the nature of the bullsh**. Would NOT recommend this place and will not be returning.

An absolute gem! Ran by Sherry and her husband, The Creamery is a full boutique, event rental and…read moreovernight space. The Creamery was (you guessed it), a creamery for the first 50 years of life. Later on it went on to be the Creamery Restaurant and Inn for 25 years. The current Creamery boasts a beautiful boutique with so many items from pottery, dog items, children's items, women's clothing, home goods toiletries and more. Offering lots of room to shop, the event space has refrigerated beverages for purchase in single can formats (both NA and alcoholic) along with bottles of wine. During the warmer months, it's really fun to grab a cocktail and enjoy it on the exterior patio. While I've never stayed in a room here, I've certainly taken advantage of the exterior patio which is dog friendly. There is a small body of water that runs outside and the exterior has large gorgeous trees that sway in the wind. The entire concept is an oasis to me. I talked to the owner on my most recent visit and she lives on campus and runs the shop. How convenient! She even allowed me to shop on a Sunday when the shop was closed and opened it up for me. This is what a small business should be and I cannot recommend more. The service is outstanding! Note: there are frequent dinner nights hosted by the Creamery with food prepared by the neighbor cafe, Scatterbrain. On my list of To-Do's is one of these overnights mixed with the dinner.
