I felt so beautiful the day of the wedding - largely because I had wonderful people taking care of me so I wouldn't have to worry about messing up my make-up or hair! Sara is an incredibly positive and optimistic person - she did a great job of bringing a presence that was calm (but fun!) and was talking about how perfect the day would be. It was really great to have someone with a personality like hers to help me get ready for such a special occasion. She did my trial on the same day of our engagement pictures and she listened to my requests (I wanted to look like myself aka no heavy make-up) and knew the exact right products to use. I did the trial + day of package which included a product (I think just one but maybe it was 2 or 3? AH! I can't remember) but I still use those products 6 months later because I love them so much. My make-up stayed for the entire day and still looked great 10-12 hours after she did it. She was on-time and very professional. Would totally recommend About Face - and make sure you ask for Sara!

About Face had a few tables of ridiculously low priced high-end makeup, nail polish and skin care. The people working there were personable and knew the product lines. I passed on a few items at the time and they're helping me buy them and have them shipped to me in Minneapolis. I'd go there all the time if it were local.

If I could give this company more stars, I would. Because of them, I now have a sunscreen that I…read moreswear by, called Vanicream. What's the big deal about a sunscreen, you ask? Oh boy, it's a HUGE deal, and this is why: I'm allergic to almost every type of sunscreen out there! You name it, hypo-allergenic, baby, oil based, water based, alcohol based, or even "sensitive brands" like Neutrogena or Aveeno - it's my kryptonite I tell you. To illustrate how bad it is, if you had some on and happened to brush against my arm, or if you were standing 10 feet away from me and sprayed that aerosol kind on yourself and I could smell it, or even if you didn't have any on but touched someone else who did then touched me an hour later, I would have a reaction. Kryptonite! I asked my doctor what I could use, and she said that the sun protection should have titanium dioxide or zinc oxide. Unfortunately, it's hard to find that sort of thing over the counter, and even the hospital didn't have any recommendations for me. That is, until recently. Thank goodness for Pharmaceutical Specialties! Vanicream sunscreen is one of their newest products, and I am sooooo happy they came out with it. It feels clean, covers and protects well, and doesn't sting if it gets in your eyes. Vanicream truly is a life changing product for me. No more covering up in the sun when it's over 80 degrees! Gee wiz, that sucked. Now I can go to the beach more often and do all the outdoor activities I love more frequently. Plus, this is the best tan I've had in 10 years, and I didn't have to burn or rash to get it.

I am so appalled by the way this doctor handled my care, if I could give less than one star I would…read more! I made an appointment for some sinus problems I thought I was having- I have not had problems in the past so this was my first visit. The first round of treatment was sort of a trial and error approach which I was fine with, because I didn't want to jump right into a cat scan to see what was going on. After that treatment was unsuccessful, I opted on her recommendation to get the scan. A week or so after I got the scan, I called her office to find out why I hadn't heard back with my results, and I was told that I would have to make another appointment to go over the results. I have had tests done in the past and usually the doctor or nurse or NP will call you and give you results and tell you course of treatment, but I can't get anyone at this office to tell me what they saw on my scan, if anything or if its necessary to have another appointment. I have an HSA , and unlike many visits that are co pay driven, I have to pay for each visit. This gets expensive and I explained that to her. I would be happy to come back in if they saw something on my scan that was concerning , but I would be annoyed and it would be unnecessary to have me come back in to prescribe antibiotics. When I told them that I would not come back in until I talked to the doctor or had the results of my scan read to me, they told me it was a 75.00 fee to speak to her . Cmon!! That's not why you became a doctor is it??? I left feeling like the only thing important to this practice was my money, which I have decided not to give anymore of-on principle . I wonder if she sleeps well at night knowing that? This is not a best patient care approach to healthcare! Very disappointed :(
