Sierra rocked it! She did an amazing job fixing my permanent eyeliner! She was even able to accent the wings without overdoing it. When we started I had blotches in the corners of my eyes....now I have nice dainty accented wings! My top lid is just a tad thicker than my bottom...just the way I wanted it...and she was able to bring my bottom liner up nice and tight to the mucous line/water line without having actually tattooed onto it, which doesn't retain ink very well and is more prone to getting infection. She took her time explaining, demonstrated a nice steady hand with her line work, and didn't let me leave until both eyes were completely symmetrical! Her aftercare instructions were clear and concise, and her prices are very reasonable. She made sure I was completely satisfied before sending me on my way! I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking to get permanent eyeliner. Thanks for helping to make me look beautiful and giving me eyeliner that will allow me to just wake up, wash, and go! On top of it all she took her time to listen to me and explain to me step by step what was about to happen to me as she went a long with the process. Sierra is very sweet and genuine. She cares about you as if it were her own face that was being permanently inked! She knows how to use a tattoo machine. No painful dragging, skipping, or scarring! Since leaving my trusted curly girl salon in the twin cities I was apprehensive about where to go in Rochester. After a friend tipped me about Brett at Salon Chic in 2015, I've never gone anywhere else. The desk staff is extremely welcoming. Brett always takes the time to consult me on what I want to do and always does a great job. The space is clean, the other staff are very friendly, and it's a fabulous atmosphere. This was my first time going to Salon Chic. I was unsure of which salons in the Rochester area would be good but figured I'd give it a try. I had a hard time justifying the price of my cut and color especially after leaving the salon dissatisfied. The stylist first colored my hair and then cut it (seems like a waste if you ask me). Also, I asked for it to be shoulder length and it doesn't even come close to touching my shoulders. I also had asked if we could start at the shoulders and then maybe decide from there, but the stylist continued cutting without my input. The color I will say turned out nice, but the process seemed redundant being that the stylist cut it all off anyhow. I know of many other places near my hometown that would have been way cheaper and I would have come out much happier with my results. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Being newer to Rochester I was reluctant to find a stylist in the area. I was driving an hour and a half to my stylist back home and finally figured it was time for the switch. I started asking around and was referred to Salon Chic by a couple of coworkers. I called and made an appointment and then got worried. I had no idea how long this stylist had been working there or how experienced she was. I called back and was reassured she had been there for OVER ONE YEAR. When I showed up to my 12:15 appointment I sat in the waiting area for 35 minutes before I was brought back to the chair. I showed the stylist a couple pictures of the color I wanted (which really wasn't that challenging as it was a lightener.) She seem apprehensive and suggested a different route. As she was doing my hair I asked how long she had been working there and she told me just about a month. Fast forward to washing the color out of my hair and sending me on my way. When I woke up the following morning my bedding was ruined. My pillowcase was completely bleached so I assumed she hadn't washed all the color from my hair. I jumped in the shower hoping my hair wasn't completely damaged from leaving a lightener in my hair overnight. I wasn't going to write a nasty review until I saw how much of my hair was falling out while brushing it. Clearly it was severely damaged and WHITE in comparison to the rest of my hair. I am extremely displeased with this Salon. Not only were they dishonest about how experienced the stylist was to book an appointment, I waited 35 minutes passed my appointment time AND my hair fell out from their service. I heavily debated walking out after I'd been waiting 20 minutes and now I really wish I would have. Also, my appointment was supposed to be a color and a cut but because the color took 3 hours we didn't even have time to cut it. What awful customer service. Seriously guys. Look elsewhere. I would try out the Salon at Walmart before I go anywhere near this place again. read more

I moved from San Antonio to Rochester about a year ago and haven't found anyone I trust enough to take me back to my big-blonde-Texas hair. Cue Kendra. She is AMAZING! Although she has only been doing hair a short time you would never know it. What a talented artist. She is truly gifted at what she does. Kendra took me from a flat, boring, mousy brunette to Texas bombshell! The salon itself is wonderful, too. Got a gift card here so gave it a try. First time I was left with hot roots so I had to go back and have them corrected. Second time I wanted just a root touch up on my brownish/auburn hair and she dyed my whole entire head BLACK!! I am currently working with another salon to reverse the black with minimal damage which has been an expensive and long process. read more

I got permanent eyeliner there at Salon Chic a while ago. The female that did the eyeliner was not personable at all, and she didn't show me that she used new needles/tools on me. She was almost rude because it seemed like she really didn't want to do what she was doing. I wouldn't recommend her. read more

I travel a lot for work and am always having to find a new stylist who is willing to take a chance and have as much fun with my hair and I like to have. Terrible place to go for a wax. I would hardly consider this place a "spa!" The room where the waxing is done is absolutely filthy, towels were stained and the room was not clean. I would not recommend this place and will not be returning. read more

I went here to get a Brazilian wax and the facility is FILTHY. The lady I had RE USED ONE wax stick for my whole area!!!! She kept dipping the same stick into the hot wax, and who knows how many other people's hair/skin is swimming in there. I would of bought my own box of wooden sticks and given it to her. And to make it worse they charged me $60!!! It's criminal! They should seriously be shut down! The bed I was on was filled with previous clients hair and wax, and generally the cleanliness in the room was appalling. Please DO NOT get waxed here. read more
