After going to Elena I knew I would never need to experiment again. Her new studio is cozy and comfortable. I have been there both for waxing and for a hydradermabrasion facial which was delightful and such a bargain compared to what you'd pay in a major city or at a big salon. I will definitely be making her facials a regular part of my beauty routine. If you're looking to treat yourself, improve your beauty routine, or get any sort of waxing done, you seriously won't find a better option! I can't recommend Elena highly enough! There's a bar area where you can drink a cup of coffee (thank you Lord) while you get foiled, with magazines and a TV, and it's open and warm into the rest of the salon. Then the decor is great too, modern but colorful and interesting. Great for getting those creative juices flowing during your biannual hair-must-change-drastically crisis! Which brings me to the true gem of this place. Erica. She is actually an artist with hair and she'll be straight up with you about what ideas are good ideas and what ideas are not so good. I've pulled out pictures of the general idea I've had, and she's talked through with me what we can do and what to expect - and if she can't do an excellent job with it, she won't. Full stop. I've shown for a 2h appointment before with an idea that would take 2 at a rush and 3 to be perfect, and she actually had me reschedule (just did a quick cut) so she could give it the time and attention it would need. The colors look GREAT. I stay, if obviously not "natural," at least within the range of natural for the purposes of professionalism at my job, and she manages to bring out all the highs and lows and depths I never knew my relatively thin hair could achieve!! I don't live in Rochester, MN but was due for a cleaning. There was a woman who sat behind the counter on the phone. She approached the girl who was next up but that girl requested for another woman. So, that woman behind the counter came towards me. I specifically told her not to thread my eyebrows a certain way but she didn't seem to listen. My eyebrows turned out exactly what I told her not to do. I told her how I wanted it fixed. She attempted to fix it then handed me the mirror. My eyebrows were very thin and uneven! It looked like two different eyebrows on my face. I wanted to cry but told her I will just pay for it and fix it at home. Be cautious. It is true. Service is inconsistent. I wouldn't do it unless you know who will be threading your eyebrows.

The online portfolio for this company is embarassing. Lack of experience, terrible attention to detail and a lack of knowledge in the tattooing industry by a company that has changed business names twice. That's a red flag. Look at references and portfolios before permanent change are made to your face. Its not reversible. After posting an online review about this company i was threatened by an attorney claiming the company owner wants to sue me for defamation. Reviews are protected under Free Speech laws so I left it up. They clearly do not want their shoddy work being made public. Bad ownership, bad work, bad reputation. STAY AWAY.
