My experience was not up to standard. There was no "welcome to the european wax center" or "thank…read moreyou for coming in today". The receptionist was very rude- she was short in her responses and was rushing me through the payment process. I haven't been to a European wax center for 10+ years so I asked if I could get the free wax, which she simply said "no". It seemed grimy and dirty in the front desk check in area with excess boxes around and dirty plexiglass at the desk. Then, my waxer did not even talk or spark conversation with me. (I know that an important part of a wax is the distraction...) I was the one asking the questions and keeping the conversation rolling. She didn't explain to me what she was going to do. It was hard to relax in her presence. In terms of the waxing- she would put on pretty large pieces/areas of wax. In my experience, I have had people use smaller strips so that it was more precise and not as painful. It also seemed like she lost her grip on the wax sometimes so she took smaller pieces of the larger piece of wax. I asked how much the inner thy add on would be and she said "$12", so I said that I would like to add it. (It was actually $20). At the end, I looked down and she missed some spots. I asked her to wax another strip where there was a HUGE line of hair (I have no idea how she missed it). There were some sparse hairs that she missed too and she told me to "tweeze them because it turns out I have very sensitive skin". I knew that I had sensitive skin.... I will not be returning due to their lack of professionalism and experience.

Jasmine is the person I see for my services and is efficient, meticulous, professional and a delight to be around. Another thing I appreciate about this place is they are very respectful of their clients time. The client as well as the business are held accountable and have a set schedule to keep. I know I will be able to make my next obligation with no concerns because of waiting. The prices here are also unbeatable. The packages have saved me a ton of money.

Essence Skin Clinic, under the ownership & direction of Jennifer Sanneman CLP, is an excellent resource in Midwest. They offer and exclusive and exhaustive list of skin care treatments that address each individual's concern to help you leave feeling your absolute best. Jennifer treated me like gold, giving me highly personalized service. I have had 3 major laser resurfacing treatments and could not be more happy with my results. Her eye for perfection and that standards by which she trains her staff are far superior to that of any staff in MN. The wide range of services they offer are cutting edge in technology. A poor review of this place would just mean that that person's issues go much deeper than a cosmetic visit. Unhappy people are hurting people that lash out at others. As far as I am concerned. They did not understand the significance of this deceptive pricing Onto the actual application, she seemed like a beginner. She did not trim the length of the lash. She really struggled to apply. I was patient, knowing the reason I was there was because I would struggle to do it myself, but when I get into the car and the inner corners are already lifting...it is rather ridiculous. And she got lash glue all over my face lol, when she used micellar water to remove, she also removed my makeup in the process and didn't offer to reapply any powder with the aveda makeup station 10 feet away. She cut WAY too much off (about 6 inches), it was not good, I just wanted a trim.Very not youthful look when that's what I was tryin to go for. When she started the diva curl cut I realized quickly it was not what I wanted so I started asking her questions about different techniques and what other stylists had done in the past for my hair that had worked. She didn't really understand what I was trying to say and basically said that she didn't do that. We just moved here from another state. My daughter got Kathy and wasn't happy with her cut, so we went back. Kathy did the cut that she wanted, until we discovered that the bangs were way to short once she washed the curls out and it is very uneven, she and I have both had to trim parts to fix our haircuts. Before we realized my daughters hair was uneven I went back and saw Kathy. I asked for a long "v" shaped shag cut, with what hair I had left that was down to the small of my back, now at mid back length. Kathy gave me more of a classic shag and now my hair is shoulder length with bangs that are about 4 inches shorter than I wanted. I debated on whether or not to do this review. I have cried a few times, I told them my fears of getting my hair chopped off. When I saw that Kathy & Rebecca in both instances were not listening to me at all because they cut WAY too much off I just felt sick and said, well I guess I can just grow out my color in order to change it from black to natural because I have been coloring my hair for years. It took me 5 years to get my hair to my waist because of other stylists that didn't listen or were incompetent. I had told the ladies on the phone this before I came in. My anxiety was warranted and now my daughter and I are stuck with haircuts we both do not like and spent about $200. Still upset. Oh and also Kathy cut my hair uneven and very thick in sections and I was told that she didn't thin out hair. Rebecca also told me that she couldn't cut my hair a certain way after I showed her a photo of what I wanted. I know this is long winded but we are not returning and we would not recommend this salon. Both ladies we feel did not listen, didn't care and do not stay up to date on new techniques. Very very disappointed, it felt like they didn't know what they were doing honestly. I was reassured several times via phone calls that they all know what they are doing and have years and years of experience, it didn't show because of the lack of communication and not caring on their part. Ask more questions and listen!!
