After sampling the above items, I have a monthly event that I attend nearby so I had a friend meet me after that event for happy hour here. I like pizza, deep dish or thin crust, round or square. It just depends on my mood, but since I've been wanting to come here for so long, I was excited to try their deep dish. When I arrived, it was a really hot day and there were a few people on the patio, but I preferred the air conditioned inside. There were a few other guests inside too. I was told to sit wherever I'd like so I sat towards the back. I ordered a happy hour glass of wine, which ended up being a Barbera. My other choices were sauv Blanc and a sparkling wine. When my friend arrived we ordered a small deep dish "where's the meat". We ordered the bacon on one side only. It took awhile as deep dish does. When it was brought to us I asked which side had the bacon and the girl didn't know. She said she would need to take gloves and find out and she disappeared with the pizza. About 10 minutes later she brought it back and said the side that had the bacon had Parmesan sprinkled on it. It was a bit haphazardly shaken on so the line wasn't clear, but we were happy to have it back so we could dive in. This pizza was worth the wait. I use to live in the Bay Area and there are some very good deep dish options there. I've also been to Chicago and had the real thing. The crust was crispy and a bit flakey. The inside was cheesy, meaty and saucy. The sauce had chunks of tomato and the cheese pull was great. When we left most of the tables were taken. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed it even my non deep dish loving dining partner. We even had leftovers. In fact, last night we got regular crust pizza from the local neighborhood pizza spot we frequent and we both lamented that we wished it was the Shop deep dish. I think we're ruined now. I just wish it were closer.

Staff totally cool and the food, while it looked like frozen dinners, the pizza was pretty solid! The beer selection was pretty good as my hubby loves Hazys. I loved the cider selection. We had a great date night and he got some golf in and I got some golf swinging lessons. It was perfect for the torrential downpour outside to be able to still get some golf in while we were in Escondido area. The only part that wasn't cool was, the simulator had a few glitches and didn't catch some of our swings, that was a bummer bc I hit some decent ones when it didn't count. Would totally come back to hit some more balls and a casual hang out.

Sometimes the golf ball isn't sensed so make sure you see that it says the ball is sensed on the screen. Otherwise if you hit it, it will not register it. There are different game modes available like driving range, trying to aim into a bucket, or playing an actual game of golf. They also have an instant replay of the hitting area so that you can review your stroke and where you hit the ball. I see the appeal in if you are wanting to try out or work on different areas of golf. Like you can play an entire game without having to be in the hot sun, or see from a top-down view of your club placement when you strike the ball. ---- Food was alright, minus half a star. We ordered the pepperoni pizza ($14) which was steaming hot when it came out and had a crispy bottom. Just a standard pepperoni pizza, nothing amazing. Ambiance wasn't "bar-like" which I liked bc while there was music playing you could still hear your own conversations. Service was great we somehow managed to hit 2 tees on top of the hitting area and they gave us another one each time. Lots of parking bc it shares it with other businesses in the plaza. ---- Overall: whether you are a golf fanatic or just want to try something out, this is a pretty great place to experience. Pricing is basically a dollar a minute you're here, but they have a wide variety of game modes available and the comfort of being indoors.

Eddie The Server is Amazing If you find yourself at **Flecha Cantina in 4S Ranch**, do yourself a massive favor and ask to be seated in **Eddie's section**. I recently had the pleasure of dining here with my family and Eddie completely elevated the experience from a standard dinner to a highlight of my week. It is rare to encounter service that feels this genuine, attentive, and professional all at once. * **Impeccable Timing:** Eddie has that rare "sixth sense" where he appears exactly when you need a water refill or a drink top-off, yet he never once made us feel rushed or interrupted. He manages the perfect balance of being present without being hovering. * **Menu Expertise:** When we were torn between a few options, his recommendations were spot on. You can tell he actually knows the menu inside and out--he didn't just suggest the most expensive item, he suggested what he knew would be delicious, and he was 100% correct. * **Infectious Energy:** His personality is fantastic. He brought such a warm, upbeat, and welcoming vibe to the table that genuinely improved our mood. He's the kind of person who clearly takes pride in his craft, and it shows in every interaction. * **Attention to Detail:** From ensuring our order was perfectly timed to checking back to make sure everything was prepared to our liking, he left no stone unturned. In an industry where great service can be hit or miss, Eddie is a total pro. He made us feel like regulars from the moment we sat down. If you want a top-tier dining experience at Flecha, look for him--he's the gold standard! read more

I had high hopes for this Miguel's replacement! Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed. And honestly this shouldn't surprise me, I suppose. Mark wahlberg is a great actor, but usually celebrities who lend their name to a restaurant are based on clout, not quality of food (take Gordon Ramsey restaurants as an example). Margarita flavors were good and unique but not strong at all. We asked for water and were given bottled at a cost without being asked if we wanted it (later I specified tap). Food was lukewarm. Beans and rice were especially bland. Chips were good but salsa was flavorless (all 6 in our party agreed - we've had GOOD salsa and know the difference). Prices are high for the quality and I actually liked Miguel's food much better. Service was spotty. There was a mix-up with our order (two orders of enchiladas when we only wanted one). The waitress said she would ask if it could be taken off the bill even though they had already left it on the table and we said we only ordered one. It was taken off the bill. We won't be back, sadly. I'll miss Miguel's. We will instead seek out more authentic Mexican restaurants. The space is nice because Miguel's was nice and this is a lightly touched up version of the previous space, which was always a good environment. read more

The whole restaurant and experience within itself is severely underwhelming. The only great thing out of this building seems to be the servers and their fellow assistants that actually seem to help them out with no hesitation, which for me is 5 stars! The ambiance is STRESS! My family and I felt bad for our sever, as she was clearly going down hill, even admitted it to us. I asked her a quick question about management because I noticed and realized that I hadn't seen one and asked if they help ... turns out they don't do anything. And in her words "they have high expectations for us, but the second we hold expectations for them it's an immediate sigh of annoyance". Low and behold I look up to the front and see 3 of them doing absolutely NOTHING! all while their employees are running around, clearly stressed and miserable... staff doesn't look happy and now I can see why. This restaurant seems to be a joke if I'm being honest. It won't last long if management keeps up their nasty behavior towards their employees. Also the Food is bland... the restaurant before had better food. I have never and don't even like leaving reviews but I just had to say something for the employees sake, Do better Mark Wahlberg. read more

Pure brunch perfection -- Flecha Cantina at 4S Ranch knocked it out of the park! From the moment you step through the doors, you're greeted with an elegant, beautifully designed space and endless mimosas. The Sunday all-you-can-eat brunch is hands down one of the best buffet experiences around. The variety and quality of the Mexican dishes are simply incredible. They truly thought of everything: rich, tender birria, flavorful moles, crispy flautas, hearty eggs with chorizo, savory beans, and both menudo and pozole packed with flavor and all the fresh fixings. Leave room for sweets, because the dessert and breakfast spread is unbelievable. Everything from fresh conchas, donuts, and warm arroz con leche to flan, cakes, and cookies. On top of the phenomenal food, the service was truly five-star. The staff was attentive, genuinely kind, and constantly made sure drinks were topped off and plates cleared. The ambiance is upscale yet welcoming--every detail is immaculate. If you are thinking about checking it out, don't walk, run. An absolute must-visit for Sunday brunch! read more

Fletcha continues to be very hit or miss. We went Saturday right at opening, and despite the restaurant being nearly empty, the service was slow and inconsistent. Thankfully, we had a great backup server/busser who was really on top of things, because our main server seemed to spend more time talking with coworkers than checking on her tables. Unfortunately, the food wasn't much better. The pickled vegetables on the plate tasted old and unpleasant...I honestly don't understand why they were even served. My tacos al pastor had strange-tasting, cold pieces of chicken mixed in with the hot food, and even the chips seemed to have stale ones mixed in with fresh ones. The highlight of the meal was ironically the complimentary birthday dessert. It was SO stale and hard that we actually started laughing to the point of tears. At least it gave us a memorable birthday moment! For the prices Fletcha charges, the food and service should be much more consistent. There is definitely potential here, but Fletcha really needs to step up its game. read more

Fletcha Restaurant in 4S Ranch CA has a convenient location and a welcoming atmosphere with comfortable seating that makes for a pleasant dining experience. The staff were attentive and friendly, adding to the overall positive vibe. However, I was a bit disappointed with the rice and beans served alongside some entrées. I had perused the menu ahead and knew I had to try the garlic noodles which in general a favorite of mine. My husband was eyeing the Italian sandwich. Now the positives: the service was great. You order at the hostess stand then you grab a table. She was friendly and sweet and helpful. I ordered the garlic noods with the reco'd pork belly plus the pink guava lime fluff seltzer. I mean, come onnnnnnn, that sounds like fun in a glass! And it was! Delightfully sweet with a hint of tart and a bit bubbly. Yum! Hubs ordered the Italian sandwich which comes with potato dippers - curved thick potato chips/fries - and a West Coast IPA. The IPA always hits the spot. The food only took about 5 mins to come out even though it was a full house. Now unfortunately the negatives: oh sweet baby noods, you had potential. The bucatini was perfectly al dente. The mushrooms were delightful. I could taste the crispy garlic. But, MA'AM, those "roasted red peppers" - who are you lying too? When they have that acidicness like that, thats a telltale sign of jarred peppers. Sad. Parmesan, who? Don't know her... My Thai chicken curry was a little spicy for me but it tasted yummy. I added in the mixed veggies and roasted Korean cauliflower which added up to an additional $4.25. I thought it was worth with it. I ended up taking a lot of my leftover to go since they serve big portions. This is a relaxed casual spot for dining and where folks often pop in to grab their "to go" lunch or dinner.

The biggest issue was there were fruit flies inside (means they have a problem), several tables with dirty dishes left on them the entire time we were there, the tables are too close together, no trash can inside for guests to use (that I saw), the sink in the smaller bathroom is so tiny your hands can't fit under the warm spout and it doesn't drain right so the water starts to fill the basin. I feel like I have no reason to go back there.

We come here almost every weekend for brunch (steak and eggs here sounds too simple but they finish the stake with au jus, peppered olive oil, and Brazilian pepper corns! This last item is REALLY unique and adds a unique twist to the steak that puts this front a center for "steaks and eggs" people. We often get the Lamb Hash. It's got a green tomatillo sauce and has the character of well prepared lamb without ever being gamy. Very consistent! Every time we come here we are always great warmly. It's a great family owned operation. If you want to support some wonderful Penasquitos LOCALS this is a great place to do it. The food here is clean and clearly made "with love". The consistency of the meals is excellent in terms of quality, portions, and overall excellence. We've always had excellent service. The crew is casual and friendly while being knowledgable about the food here. We've been here enough now (almost every weekend since they opened). We slipped in tonight for dinner and were surprised that more people didn't know about their evening offers. As usual the food was OUTSTANDING. Had the Cilantro Steak and (being the fourth kind of protein based meal I've tried here) it's VERY clear they know to handle meat and poultry. The Strawberry summer salad was clean and crisp. Really well balanced. Red unions and strawberries with Burrata Cheese were surprisingly refreshing! The Turmeric and Scallion fish fillet was mouth watering (and I'm not a fan of fish). The passion fruit sauce is a little sweet so use it sparingly! Music, art, and overall feel of the restaurant is cozy. Every dish we have tried has something unique about it that makes it really stand out. This place is well with dropping by and slowing down to have (what feels like) an excellent home cooked meal with people who are happy to see you and take care of you. We are customers for life!
