We made a group reservation and was told told 15minutes. When we all arrived we were told it would be an additional 30-55 minutes. We weren't offered refills on our waters. The service at the bar was good and the table service was great. Our server was Tia and she was excellent! When our food was brought to us it was warm. The atmosphere was lovely. The view of the ocean was the best part. The artwork in the facility is nice as well.

Going to Flavor Hills was a last minute decision and I am so glad we chose this location. I loved the artwork displayed within Flavor Hills. We chose to sit outside and soak up the sun and take in the views. We ordered mimosa flights, lemon pepper wings, soul rolls, and crab&collard dip. Those lemon pepper wings were fried and seasoned just the way I like ! Definitely a 10/10! The soul rolls were filled with yams, collards, and Mac n cheese! The crab and collard dip was tasty!

Ok, so they have a location in Raleigh that I have yet to try mainly due to bad reviews from people I know that have dined there. Reviews are mixed for the MB location as well but we decided to give it a try. After reviewing the menu we kind of had an idea of what we wanted to try. I was trying to make reservations online however it kept saying no reservations available within 2 hours of my selection. Which was strange bc I even moved the reservation time to almost 9pm and still received the same message. So, I decided to call in advance to see how long the wait was. The hostess said at the moment there wasn't a wait (strange again bc why it didn't let me make reservations) but she couldn't promise again by time we arrive. We arrived around 7:40pm and there wasn't a wait but the guy told us since we didn't have a reservation we would have to sit at the area across from the bar. It's not a bad area it's just the table is small bc it runs along the back of the restaurant, beautiful view of the pier though. Our server was very sweet and knowledgeable. She let us know up front it would be a wait bc the kitchen was behind so be patient. We understood but also expected hot and fresh food, which it didn't disappoint. We were actually full on appetizers and decided to share an entree, which we ended up taking all of it in a carry out. We ordered the soul rolls, crab & collard dip and rattlesnake pasta with shrimp. We can say we tried it, no promises if it's a go to every time we're in MB but it was nice to say we tried it.

I'm always on the lookout for local places. Loved the location. The space has a nice bright vibe. Our server was very sweet and gave us some good recommendations. The fried green tomatoes with crab on top were delicious. Main dish was fried chicken with mac and cheese and greens. The mac was pretty good but the greens were mushy and overcooked. I don't recommend those.

We arrived at a dead restaurant and we were told it had a 25 minute wait. We decided to wait it out. It took another 20 minutes after our wait to get service. Our server was very kind. We waited over an hour for our food. The food was mid. I would say if you have the time and you don't mind waiting for for it. The restaurant does have an ocean view, which is nice but only if you sit near the bar.

Things to know. Customer service not the best, please check your itemized bill on the screen before paying, automatic 18% gratuity applied to every order. Upon entry we were not greeted or seated. Over 10-15 minutes to be be greeted or seated. No one spoke just looked and kept doing what they were doing. The restaurant is extremely dark with not really eye catching aesthetics but outside has a nice photo/grass wall. Customer service was better once we were seated. I do feel like substitution of sides is overpriced and the portion to price ratio is not good on the appetizers. You get 4 bang bang shrimp, 3 green tomatoes or 6 small wings and they are overpriced. I ordered the hot honey chicken sandwich which was phenomenal and fair in price if you stick with fries but I asked to substitute the fries for Mac and the waiter said it would be $4 extra got my bill I asked to look at the itemization and it was $7 extra to sub to Mac and cheese and the portion wasn't even a full spoon full (it was stove top Mac and the baked a little cheese on top. It was average). We also got the burger which was tasty and the fries were good. We would give them another try. The appetizers were good just over priced. The crab and collard dip was good but did taste smoked/burnt so if you don't like a smoked taste don't get it.

Flavor Town - Myrtle Beach, SC Let me tell you--I love this place! Flavor Town is like Hip Hop meets Big Mama's house, wrapped up in beach chic vibes and served with a side of pure joy. The atmosphere is warm, the music hits just right, and the food? Whew! The sweet potato cornbread will make you want to call your mama and say thank you. The soul egg rolls? They don't just fill you up--they reach down into your soul and make you fall in love with life all over again. I had one of their fish dishes, and y'all, I'm still smacking weeks later. Can we talk about the shrimp? Hands down the best shrimp on the beach--perfectly seasoned, tender, and unforgettable. Everything we tried was yummy, full of flavor, and made with love. The food was unique and flavorful, we absolutely loved it! The service was swift and the staff were very kind and thoughtful. It had an upbeat ambiance and great views. It was a great experience, would absolutely recommend. *good things to know, 18% tip is automatically included, the food is pricey but worth it.

The crab and collard dip is everything! Me and my friend Came on a Friday night and it was pretty empty so we got great service. The drinks were strong. The food came out quick. Everything was really good.

    Buffalo fried chicken salad

This place came highly recommended. I was not super hungry so I opted for a salad. I ordered the jerk chicken salad. The waitress brought me the buffalo fried chicken salad instead and I tasted it and it was really good. However, I was really craving jerk chicken. The salad was decent. It comes with a mango salsa and the jerk chicken is grilled. The greens were fresh. I low-key wish I had kept the other salad. I also ordered a side car, which was great. The ambience is very nice. The inside is surrounded by glass windows and the restaurant is beachside. We sat inside, but the outside seating would definitely be a vibe at night. I would definitely go again to try some other items on their menu. The others in my party ordered the waffles, which I sampled and it was really good. Our waitress was okay. The door leading to the outside seating area slams very loud. Hopefully they will be getting that fixed because it is quite disturbing.

Service was good. The chicken was rubbery on the rattlesnake pasta. Fish and Grits were great. The fried chicken Caesar salad was very good. Nice relaxing atmosphere this early in the afternoon on Friday. The bloody Mary was a little off with the orange juice. I'm disappointed it didn't come with the shrimp and sausage garnish as advertised.

If you go in the front door there are a few steps to climb. If you need flat entrances they are around back. The host took us to our seats and explained the buffet to us. It is only a buffet place. But you can order a take out as well. There were two tables of food and a dessert table. The salad bar seemed to never end. Everything was cut fresh with no limp vegetables or lettuce. Marilyn brought me coffee and Bev Tea. It was plenty hot and fresh. I absolutely love their coffee. I had two cups before I even finished my plate of food. Marilyn was very attentive to each table and came to ours often. After I finished my salad. I saw Carie filling a plate for someone. When she was done I asked her if she could get me a chicken breast. My joint pain and back pain had been extreme this week. Using the walker was even painful. Carie said, "Absolutely !" She returned quickly and with a smile. The staff is so kind. The manager Tommy came by our table to see how we were enjoying our meal. I let him know the salad bar was perfect. The chicken I enjoyed was tender and juicy. I also noticed the teamwork between the staff was easy and natural like a choreographed dance. Bev and I plan to return for the Easter Sunday Meal. Check this pace out and tell them Willie and Bev sent you. Ms. Willie Conway.

With so many good restaurants in the area, we usually try new places, but before heading home we decided it was time to stop in again for dinner. As usual, we try to go during happy hour when prices are a bit better, and we sat at the bar. The bartender was very friendly she greeted us right away, handed us menus, and took our drink order. The menu had changed a bit since our last visit. My wife ordered a Coke, and I had an Old Fashioned. For food, my wife chose the Fried Crab Claws with fries, and I ordered the French Onion Soup along with the Pork Nachos from the happy hour menu. While we were waiting, the bartender asked where we were from. We told her Southern Maryland, and when I said Huntingtown, she immediately said, "That's where I'm from." That alone surprised us not many people even know where Huntingtown is. When we mentioned the road we live on, she said, "That's the road I turn on to my parents' house." This was the first time we've ever met a bartender or server over 400 miles from home who lived that close to us. Small world. Our food came out and my wife really enjoyed her crab claws -- I tried one and they were very good. My French onion soup had a nice, deep beef flavor and was very tasty, but after a few bites there was a heavy pepper bite that came through. It was still good, but I had to switch over and eat some of my nachos, which were also good, though different from how I remembered them. I think the BBQ sauce changed the flavor, and the lettuce (which I usually prefer without) was something I should have asked to leave off. I asked my wife to try the soup and mentioned the pepper and that it might be a little spicy. She agreed it was good but said it would be better if it wasn't so peppery. A little later, the chef came out and introduced himself, Bo. He asked how everything was going. I told him everything was good overall but mentioned the heavy pepper bite in the onion soup and asked if that was normal. He said it shouldn't be that strong and that it needed to be toned back. Bo then asked if we had ever tried Mama's Soup, the tomato vegetable soup on the menu. We hadn't, and he asked if we'd like to try it. Not long after, he brought us another bowl and said, "This is Mama's soup give it a try." It was a vegetable soup with hamburger and a tomato base, and it was so good. When he came back, he explained it was his own version of his mother's soup. We told him it would go perfectly with a gooey grilled cheese, and he laughed and said they actually have one on the menu. It was really nice of Chef Bo to come out, check on us, listened and know something wasn't quite right, and it's being taken care of. That kind of interaction truly makes dining out a better experience. It makes the place feel welcoming, like they genuinely want you there. Yes, we will return -- and we were told that Mama's soup is always on the menu.

We were promptly seated and drink orders were taken. The waiter reappeared about 15 mins later with drinks and cheese rolls and took the table's order. We settled on the Aspen family meal which consisted of 2 meats and 4 sides. We chose smothered pork tenderloin and fried chicken along with mac 'n cheese, collard greens, fried okra and candied yams. Fried chicken was awesome, crispy, with an assortment of dark and white meat pieces. We were looking for a knife because of the pork tenderloin and realized you don't need it. It was that tender. You could cut it with a fork and it too was awesome. Everyone raved about all the side items except the mac & cheese it was a bit on the bland side so it was not our favorite. There was no need for a refill of any of the food. The first round was very ample sized and everyone left very satisfied. And if I have a bit of feedback, our waiter was not attentive unlike the waitress serving the tables in our same area. He was didn't bother to come back and see if we needed a refill on any of the drinks or the food. The only disappointing thing was they no longer offer you a small sample size dessert to finish up your meal. It's been a while since I've dined here so I'm not sure how long that change has been in place. However, we understand the food industry continues to be impacted by the current economy. Overall, the restaurant was very clean, including the restrooms. It's a nice place to feed a large family who hates buffets.
