We walked in just five minutes before their closing time at 2:30, and I was apologizing, saying we'd just get a takeout menu and come back tomorrow. We were greeted enthusiastically and told, "go ahead and take a seat, we'll feed you!". We sat and ordered (someone else had just come in as well) and our food came out promptly. I got fried flounder with two veggies sides and DH got the same. Everything was hot and fresh and the sides were homemade and delicious. Our wait person was friendly and cheerful (even though we knew she was having stay late to serve us) and everyone treated us royally. We tipped double and will be coming back for sure!

I'm telling you, don't judge this book by its cover! When you first pull up to this place, it's not…read morethe most aesthetically pleasing looking location. The first time we went it was pretty packed so we had to wait. They got through the parties before us very quickly and we were able to be seated in a good amount of time from waiting. They have a very large menu with many good options that anyone can find something they'd like to try. Something that caught my eye was the skillet entrées that they serve. I went with the south of the border skillet. This includes Chorizo, home potatoes, jalapeños, green peppers, onions, eggs, avocado, and mixed cheese. I mean... what a combination of items! This was great! The potatoes were cooked to be nice and soft, the chorizo had excellent flavor, and the jalapeños were the perfect amount of spicy kick that took this skillet over the top. It's also supposed to come with a side of beans. As a guy who doesn't eat beans a lot, I asked them could I substitute for a different side and they suggested that I get their rice. This was very good as well. We were constantly checked on, drinks were refilled all the time even with asking and very well taken care of. The prices are very reasonable. This place gets straight to the point... great food and excellent service! I've been back a couple times since, and it's definitely in my rotation of breakfast places to go!

I'm removing two stars for some frustrating and sadly ironic reasons…read more Junction is now under new ownership and it's not going well. The new owner has raised prices, reduced portion sizes, increased wait times for food readiness, and increased wait times for food ordering. Nearly all of the front-of-house staff has been replaced and there is a definite vibe of unrest when I walk in now (the few times that I still go there) Chip portions are bleak, the wraps are about two-thirds their previous size, and everything costs more... a recipe for disaster in my opinion. This was the ONE business in Mebane that needed absolutely nothing... it was turn key for any new owner and a guaranteed hit with the locals. Within a few months, the feedback from me and everyone else I've talked to is that it's now on the decline and we no longer recommend it to visitors, or family visiting. Absolute shame... but I shouldn't be surprised.

Not having the time to sit down and enjoy the meal (which I kind of regret after arriving to pick it up); I placed the order through the TOAST App and it was a very easy, straight-forward menu and ordering process. I went simple with a B-Y-O Biscuit of sausage and egg with a side of home fries. I really appreciated the choices of egg style on the biscuit customization menu and went with scrambled for this one. All of that washed down with a simple black coffee. Ten minutes later and I'm at the restaurant that's an easy, short jaunt from downtown on King Street. It occurred to me then that I'd been here once before when it was in the whole building but that was years ago. The new space is cozy, with a down-home feel of mason jar light fixtures, vintage signs, and just a nice diner vibe. A few minutes after arriving, I received my order and was out the door, pleasantly happy with an affordable breakfast in my hand. The food was excellent, the sausage tasted almost local, and the egg was perfectly cooked and proportioned. The biscuit was perfectly baked, slightly fluffy, with a buttery flavor that complimented the sausage and egg. Next time, I'll add a spoon of blackberry jam or apple butter and I think it would knock it put of the park. The home fries had good flavor, but I forgot to ask for any condiments, so eating them plain was a bit of a frustration, but they had a dusting of spices that worked. The coffee was piping hot, fresh, and what I would call standard fare diner coffee.... but you're not here for the coffee. All in all, highly recommended and I will be back, though maybe for a lunch meal next time.

I'm not really into biscuits so had a bacon, egg and cheese on potato bread. I was surprised that it was a half sandwich, but Bread Shop bread is so big I guess that's why. It was very tasty, although would have liked the bread a bit more toasted. They make their own pepper jelly on site so had that on the bread. It's not too spicy, but does have a bit of a zing. What I didn't use I brought home. If I'm in the area again I'd def give lunch a try.

But when (not if) we return, I will be ordering the seafood pasta for sure because it was that good! A friend recommended the pork chops and the burgers. The ambience is quaint and the indoor dining space is very small and cozy. There was a bit of a wait when we arrived. I recommend making a reservation if you don't want to dine outdoors.
