I can't tell you how badly I wanted to stick my hand in the dice tank and swish my hand around. I did not. I loved all the table space to bring your games or borrow one of theirs to play. It's so cool to have those old school board games to pick from or a video console. The employees were having such a passionate conversation about games between themselves I had to chuckle. They were vibing let me tell you. The value is pretty standard to other places. My husband said he felt like some of the kits were marked up and then a discount was applied to make it the same price as Amazon. But supporting places like this is important. They need us and Amazon will be fine.

If you're into sports cards, Layton Gaming is definitely worth a visit. They have an excellent…read moreselection with just about everything a sports card collector could be looking for, whether you're hunting for singles, sealed products, or supplies. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and happy to answer questions without making you feel rushed. One of my favorite parts of the store was the extensive bargain bins. If you enjoy the thrill of digging for hidden gems at great prices, you'll want to spend some time browsing them. I also appreciated their fair appraisal service. Whether you're looking to trade or sell cards, they took the time to evaluate everything honestly and professionally. Great selection, great people, and fair prices--I'll definitely be back!

The place is massive and seems great for playing, but our experience buying cards was…read moredisappointing. We came from Miami ready to make a large purchase, but a card we were interested in was priced above its TCGplayer market value despite visible dents and whitening. It was also being sold as Near Mint, which didn't seem accurate given its condition. We pointed out both the condition and the price difference, but they weren't willing to adjust the price, so we passed. If you're shopping here, check market prices and inspect the cards carefully before buying. Personally, I recommend Geekd and Lobo Cards. In our experience, they know their cards, price them fairly, and make us feel confident buying from them. But Layton, definitely seems scalpers

Extremely disappointing customer service…read more FedEx may be responsible for the shipping issue, but CoolStuffInc is responsible for making sure the product I paid for actually reaches me--and for helping resolve the problem when it doesn't. I contacted CoolStuffInc, explained the situation, and even provided a solution FedEx gave me: the shipper needs to contact FedEx to remove the restriction so I can pick up my package. Instead of taking ownership and helping resolve the issue, CoolStuffInc has been completely unhelpful. Shipping problems happen. Poor customer service is a choice. I've been a loyal customer, but after this experience, I will seriously reconsider ordering from CoolStuffInc again. Extremely poor customer service and accountability.

When I arrived I asked the guy behind the counter about them and he basically said, "good luck, we don't have many because guys come in here weekly with their Key Collector apps out hoping to make a flip." The comics are well organized so I looked and I did find one....$3 for a Warlock Infinty Watch #7. I brought some comics in to trade since another store I've frequented (that's North an hour drive away) does trades. Absolutely not here and the guy told me, "we're like Walmart, we don't do trades." I paid the $3 and left. If you're in there for Funko or new age comics it's probably a great store. If you're going for TCG be prepared to pay high dollar for scalped products and "minty" raw cards.

Shocked that Numiru doesn't have more of a following here. This shop has been around for almost two…read moreyears, and is a lovely mom and pop competitor to our corporate/sometimes unwelcoming other game shops in the area. In comparison, Numiru is always welcoming, quick, and friendly. The front half is sealed cards, board games, collectibles, and some books. Back half is singles, tables for games, and some drinks. While they don't have every product always, the selection they do have is at market price and varied. As we all know, Pokémon is the hot thing to scalp, and I always know that Numiru will have my back and at least a pack to buy in these trying times. They're only open Thursday-Sunday, but that's fine with me. For the value, friendliness, and lack of that certain something that makes me scared to ask questions in other shops, I'll wait for Numiru.
