Also, the owner was very welcoming and I appreciated how the atmosphere felt here. They also have a big wall of what you can tell are very good selections and my boys were impressed with all the latest and greatest comics they carry. The staff was very friendly and helpful, which made the visit even better. While we wish they sold more masks and costume accessories, we were pleasantly surprised by how many cool items they did have. The store is very clean and well-organized. Highlights included the giant Gremlins and Pokémon vending machine, though sadly it was out of order, it was still fun to see! We also noticed a neat speakeasy out back that we definitely want to check out next time. Overall, this is a great spot for any nerd, collector, or cosplayer. Nice shop and Great customer service…read more While I mainly look for vintage figures the shop seemed to have a nice mix of modern and vintage depending on what you're looking for. They also had a nice selection of comics. My main collecting focus right now is old Mattel Secret Wars figures, while I didn't see any of those the Horror Figure section caught my eye. We ended up leaving with a set of Halloween 3 Toony Terrors and 2 of the 2012 Figures Toy Company reproduction Mego Mad Monster figures. All in all a solid shop we'll stop at whenever we're in town.

Ultimate Comics has large walls of new comics already bagged and boarded, including rare variant covers, and some graphic novels and boxes of back issues. There's a corner full of Funko Pop figures, a shelf of stuffed animals, and big boxed super-hero action figures. One of the things I like about the store is that they devote a section to comics suitable for kids. A lot of comic shops seem to only cater to adult collectors, but I believe children are the future.

When I arrived I asked the guy behind the counter about them and he basically said, "good luck, we don't have many because guys come in here weekly with their Key Collector apps out hoping to make a flip." The comics are well organized so I looked and I did find one....$3 for a Warlock Infinty Watch #7. I brought some comics in to trade since another store I've frequented (that's North an hour drive away) does trades. Absolutely not here and the guy told me, "we're like Walmart, we don't do trades." I paid the $3 and left. If you're in there for Funko or new age comics it's probably a great store. If you're going for TCG be prepared to pay high dollar for scalped products and "minty" raw cards.

I arrive soon after they opened and interacted with the employees immediately. I was told and if I need anything to just let them know, and I just said, dice. They appointed me to the back of the store and told me where they would be. I wandered them back and took a look at their selection. I immediately found a set that would fit the bill for this occasion. I looked through a bunch of the store before having someone get them from the cabinet for me. I felt that I did really good because I only bought one comic book. I love these stores because everyone is friendly that works in them and I can always find way too many things that I want to buy. If you have young children that are struggling to start reading, you should consider starting them on comic books and getting them to actually read the words in them because it has been proven that children who start with comic books tend to learn to read younger, and then read throughout their lives . Obviously, you should only buy things that you feel are safe for your children, and there is always something to fit that bill.

They have a large selection of Current Comics and a fair selection of comics from the 1960s and 1970s. Laid out nicely, and easy to browse through. There are also boxes of consignment comics to check out. Then there are quite a few Sale comics 25 cents plus boxes at 50% off, so lots of selections for the casual buyer. Of course they also have figurines and games. Owners are very knowledgeable and said they can also search for a specific comic title or issue. Check it out.

Every person there was very friendly and helpful. Even though there was a tournament going on, they were kind enough to sit with me and explain things, and I even played a game before the night was over. What a great local card shop! Stopped in here randomly after eating a meal while visiting…read moregrandparents in the villages. They have tons and tons of cards available- everything from Magic the Gathering, YuGiOh, Pokemon and even Disney. We picked up a Pokemon Celebrations ETB and a few sleeved singles and one graded card. Thankfully while Pokemon cards are pretty much sold out everywhere this shop carries a great selection of ETBs, singles (even vintage!), Figure Sets, Battle Sets everything! Pricing is reasonable (only slightly higher than MSRP) but good luck trying to get anything in stock at a nationwide retailer. The nostalgia this store invokes is real- would definitely recommend a visit!
