This is a card shop that allows customers to play certain games on certain days: like yugioh and pokemon. The staff is nice and it's surprisingly clean af. The bathrooms were clean and there were free feminine products which you don't see often so I thought that was nice. They also sell drinks and snacks. The prices for the cards and sleeves are great and they have a warehouse in the back. It's in its own plaza which is great for parking. Coolstuff oversold stock so when I went to pick up my order, they could not fulfill it. Instead of handling the portion they could fill, they went through a convoluted process and had me waiting triple the normal time. I was late to another event and missed out on a collectible because of Coolstuff's practices. read more

2017's Yelp 100 Challenge 30/100 The premise of this place is cool: you come here and play games, but games, talk about games. It's a game store. It could've been executed a little better. You walk in and not only are you immediately met by several tables full of folks playing anything from D & D to Magic, but you are also assaulted by stale, musty air. That's what ruined this place for me--the air was stagnant and the place could definitely benefit from opening a few windows. The variety of games was amazing tho, my boyfriend and I saw several card games we'd never played, plus old ones we hadn't seen in a while. Near the register they have what amounts to a snack bar with cheap foods that most guys who play games will enjoy: honey buns, Doritos, Mountain Dew, bananas (oddly), but overall if you're into tournaments and the like, this is the spot for you. read more

I did like going to this store in the time of my youth, since then the staff has rather changed for the worst and they completely shut me out, i heard from former friends of friends that they used to talk shit behind my back such as the store front, and i was not impressed with that, overall it was a great experience in my youth since then i have better things to do and overall i will be in occasion and i will be maybe taking my son in the future but as of now, thanks but no thanks Even when i applied they did not even give a call back and for the record i have noticed over the times i have made friends that got jobs here, such as a select few they no longer associate with me every time i said hello, they would act like they did not know me or anything, but i have made a few that i can trust with my everyday life but for the employees they have now are stuck up and very unprofessional and i will always remember talking to the owner and for the record, i will thank him for making coolstufinc a coolstuff i will remember. read more

During the pandemic demand for Pokémon cards surged and this is the only outlet for many sets that would not have a crazy high surcharge that I could find. I remember back when Coolstuff was just another local card shop tucked away in Winter Park. These days it's so big that on my last plane trip I overheard someone saying how cool it would be to go to Orlando and check out their store. They've made a national name for themselves for good reason though, with an easy to use Internet storefront and prices that even Amazon has a hard time beating, this is the place to go for games. That said, the store itself is lackluster in appearance and vaguely uncomfortable. There's plenty of table space for gaming, some computers for shopping, and a counter with snacks to buy. For the average non-gamer looking to buy a hard to find or inexpensive game, this place may seem a little intimidating. Thankfully, the staff is always helpful and friendly, though often very busy. If you plan ahead, you can order online and pick up in store, otherwise you will have to use their in-store computers to order and wait while they retrieve it. You can't just pick something off the shelf and pay for it in most cases. On busy days this can lead to some waiting. Overall, this place is the go to for good prices and niche games. Super impressed with this place! Before leaving Florida I lived near by and had always been intimidated away by the tournament atmosphere. I'm only recently a nerd and even then only slightly and honestly didn't know what to expect from this place but my fiancé and I have recently begun playing co-op board games and started noticing that often times cool games online would have the best prices and so a curiosity about new games and slender wallets drove me to check out CoolStuffGames. I went on an early Sunday afternoon and there was a light scattering of people at the tables playing various games. Along one wall were computers and across part of two others were various games for purchase. The staff was very friendly and informed me that they were the warehouse location so anything I didn't see I could go look up on their website using one of the desktops, add it to my cart and the computer would give me an order number to give to a staff member who would go get the item I wanted to purchase from the back room. Many of their prices were less than amazon, the space was clean and after seeing how orderly everything was set up I decided that even if a tournament was going on It would not be too overwhelming to stop by. My son loves Pokemon, He is 6 so doesn't really take the best care of them so I was looking for a good place to buy them used. This place has TONS. You could easily spend 4 or 5 hours looking though the computers at their stock but I wouldn't. Lots of gamers/games going on inside. You are better off shopping from home, building a cart, and coming in for pick up. Ladies if you are looking for the Nerdboy of your dreams you will find him here. Wall to wall nerdy dudes, tall, short, skinny, fat, hot and not so hot they are all here. This place has almost been a godsend to me since it opened. My son is a huge Pokemon fan and he rides his bike up here a lot to play and to get new cards. What's nice is he can't trade or sell anything without me being there. At least until he's 18. :). The staff is extremely knowledgeable, even though their specialty is Magic cards and friendly to me and my son. A huge bonus to me, especially since most places like these generally don't like to have females in their midsts. ;) read more

The smell of axe and nerd who hasn't bathed in three weeks hits you in the face when you walk in. It was the most disgusting thing I have ever experienced. I had to hold my breath. My friend who was the one who wanted to go here pointed it out as well. We stayed for 10 minutes and left as fast as we could. They have the best prices online, and the in store prices are the same as online which is awesome. Wish they had a little more of the selection out to browse, but still a strong selection.
