We came here after a night out and they saved the day! The food was so good even at 3am! Our server was Stacey and she was so awesome and polite. She is definitely the reason I would go back! It was a little chilly in the restaurant so I ordered the hot chocolate for my beverage. The. for breakfast I ordered the egg BLT which was interesting. Moved to Aventura two years ago and the Flashback Diner was the first place we visited. Reminiscent of the diners we have fond memories of visiting in Jersey. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Interestingly, there were many regulars there (we could tell by the conversations they were having with the servers) which is always a good sign.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was served quickly and was excellent. We were serviced with a smile and the prices were good. We have now visited several times (at this stage only for breakfast) and have had the pancakes (nice and fluffy), eggs (made the way we like them - scrambled for my wife, over-easy for me), link sausage (big and juicy like in Jersey), waffles (nice and crispy) and corned beef hash and poached eggs (corned beef crispy on the outside as it should be, eggs poached to perfection). Our only negative, they did not have a big variety of pastries/cakes (which we're used to seeing in the Jersey diners). But, if that's our only complaint, our waist sizes won't mind. After reading the review on the mashed potatoes and meatloaf (my wife's favorite meal), we're going to try that on our next visit. We'll keep you posted! read more

We drove past the Flashback diner and decided next time we'd try it. Next time was that evening and I'm glad we stopped in. First, our waitress was very friendly, was fairly quick and got the order right. Those three things are always a plus. Additionally, the restaurant was clean and had a nice motif with old movie and actor/actress memorabilia on the walls. The food itself was pretty good but slightly pricey. That's why four stars and not five. However, we'll probably be back as we're in town for a few more weeks. I'd recommend it if you're looking for a diner to enjoy a meal! read more

The saving grace last night was my friend's salad. His wife and I had something so simple as the two egg basic breakfast. Eggs were rather small and the food came out warm instead of hot. The potatoes were an abomination as they weren't properly cooked. The whole fiasco came out to $53.00 which felt like I was financially raped for this type of food quality. The toast was more toward heated bread than actually toasted. Service was above average but it won't save you from what you might get exposed to in food quality. Bathrooms were clean but had a strange odor. Liked the Davie location so much better. Plenty of parking is a plus and is right across the street from Gulfstream Park. read more

After visiting the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, we decided to grab a bite to eat. Searched on Yelp to find a place that was open late night. Noticed that the Flashback Diner was open. As you walk into the Diner, you are greeted with gigantic cakes at the counter. I see the Red Velvet and Carrot Cake. Memorabilia hung up on the walls of the Rat Pack- Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, etc... We were taking back to the 1960's. Waitress greeted us and cordial. Came to take our order and able to answer some of our questions. I do not think she recalled everything listed on the menu. I said I wanted a Quickie- waitress looked at me weird. What the heck did I say? Again, I said I wanted a Quickie and described 2 eggs over easy with an everything bagel with a smear of cream cheese. My friends ordered Greek Yogurt Parfait and another ordered a sandwich. The place was empty. The food took forever to be prepared and get to the table. Other patrons who came in after us got their food. Half of the food came while others came later. The toasted bagel with cream cheese came but not the eggs. Did they have to find a hen to lay fresh eggs- what's the hold up. Felt like transported to the twilight zone. Back in the 1960's and things made fresh and takes forever. The waitress came back and said the Quickie was available from 5-10 am but gave it to us anyways. After all the food came finally. Staff was goofing off and entertaining themselves. We used to love this place and always visited when in the area over the past 15 years. The last time we visited, about 6 months ago, we noticed a change in food quality that was not for the better. We left unhappy but thought that it may have been a fluke. We went back this morning and unfortunately found out that it was not. The pancakes were like rubber. That will be a minimum $6.99, without tax and tip, and you will have to drink water, again..all this before tax and tip, oh yeah just eggs and bacon..$12.99 a bargain.. the prices have been raised three times in the last 2 years with no end in sight, the food is okay here but I'd rather stick to IHOP or Denny's.. This isnt a 5 star restaurant, but owner thinks it is..again, they will blame the rising costs of inventory ,employment ,electric taxes, but when you dont pay rent 3 price raises in 18 months, I bet she got a sizable P.P.P. check.. the fact that this place used to be crowded on a Friday or Saturday night and is empty shows you that priced taken its toll.. the new name of this place is going to be $"15 .99 and up"! What a day and night difference in service at this location. We went there twice once at midnight the day we landed and once for brunch couple days later. The service at midnight was top notch 1st class. The hostess was cheerful and attentive vs the hostess few days later was just waiting for her shift to end. The food is good and I guess can depend on when you go there. For brunch they were out of most things we wanted to order what a shame. I go to Flashback once a month when I g see my Doc. Usually, it's for breakfast. Last time I had the Pancakes, poached eggs, bacon, and coffee.I have to say it was fantastic. The 3 pancakes were large and very tasty, The eggs soft and runny. And they give you several not just 2 pieces of thick bacon. Service was very good and separate plates for everything. At this point, table separation is more minimal but staff wore masks. My only comment is the tables may need to be wiped better. But I can live with that. I was ordering individual breakfast orders for the kids (4,2,&1) she stopped me and said the order has a lot of food and that 2 of them should be enough for the 3 of them and boy was she right.
