Flash Messenger is my go-to courier service in the city, especially when myself or a client are in a pinch. Setting up an account takes less than 5 minutes, and I appreciate that they send an invoice at the end of the month versus having to pay on the spot. Bonus: no fee to activate an account, or keep an account on file. Their prices are beyond reasonable, especially with the level of service they offer. I've used them for smaller deliveries (envelopes and small packages), as well as larger items (several large boxes) for events or hotel pickups. Dominic is the one I've worked with the most, and each time he's been prompt but friendly, and will work with me if there's a specific time frame an item needs to be picked up or delivered. Once a courier was extremely delayed due to the weather, and Dominic stayed past his shift to ensure the courier and I were able to connect/hand off the item. I've happily recommended Flash Messenger to co-workers and clients, and will continue to do so. Tips: -Work in a building with strict visitor/check-in procedures? Bring this to Flash Messenger's attention when setting up the account so they can make a note of this (ex: couriers must have a valid photo ID for check in) -Have several packages or one heavy package? Make this known when placing a request for pickup/delivery, as this will help to ensure they send the right type of courier (bike, car, truck, etc.). My office desperately needed a new courier service...we just didn't trust the last one we used. After perusing around their website and another courier's website, I went with them for two very simple reasons: 1) They require no forms - I just wanted be able to call someone and tell them we needed a delivery from Point A to be Point B without having to write an essay; and 2) hello, $5 delivery compared to our last $20 delivery (down a couple of blocks)?! That's 4 deliveries with Flash, but only 1 delivery with our last courier...no brainer there! Setting up an account with Flash was soo easy; Dominic and the other lady who sometimes pick up (sorry, I don't know your name!) are superrrr friendly, quick, and thorough. And we almost always get the same messenger...although I don't know his name either. But he's very nice and speeds in and out with the quickness, getting the jobs done correctly. I admit I did have some doubts with our recent delivery, as I called them and told them I needed this delivery to be there within the hour (it wasn't our normal guy)...but they saved the day and made it on time! I can't believe there aren't more reviews for Flash. They are by far the best courier service around SF and they have better rates. We use them daily for our office and I love them so much, I had to write a review to support them. They are super fast, reliable, and professional. After a few times calling, Betsy and Dominic will remember you and they make it really easy and are so personable. Their messengers are really nice and you can tell they care about doing a good job. If you ever need a messenger, consider Flash. Flash rocks. They're very efficient and reliable, and veterans at filing at court. Most first year lawyers don't know how to file at court. My favorite messenger is Joe because he's super nice and really goes out of his way to get the job done. There have been a few instances when he's charged court fees on his personal credit card because the paralegal forgot to include a check. :) -1 star because the messengers have to pay for their own cell phones. I think the company should at least give their messengers a cell phone stipend, because they rely on their phones for so much. read more

Flash is as good as it gets! They have been our messenger for over 15 years now, and they've always been responsive, fast and professional. In this day and age, sticking with any service for 15 years kinda says it all. And, the messengers like our office mascot, Bailey the golden retriever--even though she barks at them when they come off the elevator. She's just happy to see them--'lots of great street smells and personality', she says. But best of all is the guy who answers the phone with the British accent. Gotta love Flash. I work as a receptionist at a large law firm in SF, and they've been indispensable. My lawyers aren't the easiest people to please, but the Flash guys seen quick, courteous and knowledgeable when it comes to filings. Great reliable service! I was looking for a messenger last week and decided to look on Yelp - I'm glad I found Flash and they are as excellent as everyone says. They answer their phones right away, they give you an ETA, their rates are beyond reasonable - I love everything about them. Great customer service. Only comment or request, is I hope sometime in the future they implement a "delivery complete" notification. Whether it be by email or phonecall. Its just a bonus request as they are reliable and always deliver so its not needed, but would be a "nice to have" bonus. read more

This is incredible service. I needed a courier to get a package from Redwood City to San Francisco. Found them on Yelp and asked about their rates for same day service which was reasonable. Called at 3:30pm to have an urgent loan document delivered by 5pm same day from SF to South Bay. Dominic said they would do their best. Within 10 minutes of call, a courier showed up! Hopefully it was delivered by deadline but important thing was the service. Flash said they would coordinate w the recipient about delivery. I love companies that are precise and accommodating. Flash is AMAZING :) I love their service always on time I love the owners accent its great i love hearing him say Flaaaash!!! They are always willing to go the extra mile for help. One time my company called them to pick up lunch for my office and they were great our food came right away and Miguel their driver brought up all the food at once and he still followed me to our kitchen and placed everything down nicely and said ok thank you I thought that was nice he is telling me thank you!!
