We came for drinks and appetizers and it was delicious! We had 2 orders of pork gyoza, seafood fries, and chicken and pork bao. I had a lychee cocktail and honestly it was way too sweet. I thought it would be more like a margarita but it tasted like cotton candy, not for me but I'm sure someone out there would love it. The servers were attentive and kind, and the place is cozy and cute. I come back here again and again, we love it!

Pretty good ramen with vegan options. The veggie dumplings that came on top were a nice touch!

I was feeling spontaneous, and was in the mood for some ramen and came across Flame Ramen in Midtown Memphis Tennessee. The appetizer I tried was the seafood fries. Which was waffle fries with shrimp, crab meat and topped with spicy mayo and green onions. The fries that I ordered seemed like I got the last that be at the bottom of the bag. It was more little small broken pieces than full waffle fries. But overall, The seafood fries had good flavor, just In my opinion it could've had more spicy mayo and green onions added. For the ramen, I went with the build your own bowl. The first bowl was with Shio broth, Sapporo Noodles, Chicken Chashu, and corn for the topping. The second bowl was with Shio broth, Sapporo Noodles, Chicken Loin, and for the toppings, green onions and toasted garlic. The Chicken Chashu has a grilled sweet teriyaki taste, and the Chicken Loin was kind of like boiled and sautéed with a chili powder spice over it. The wait time for the food was quick. The customer service was polite, the eating area and booths were clean as well. They also have one tv on the wall that I noticed, in my opinion I think it would've been nice to have some news, or sports showing while dining in. Overall I know there other options of ramen restaurants. But if you're in Memphis Tennessee, Midtown area and looking to get some quick ramen see if they satisfy your craving.

These are so cute.

This is a nice little ramen spot ducked off so keep your eyes peeled. The services is hospitable and I really enjoy the aesthetic. I had the Veggie paradise ramen bowl and it was really good. I'll have to come back aa a celebration on my health journey.

I really enjoyed this, and am not usually a big ramen person. I like to try veggie and vegan options and found their vegan ramen bowl to be very good. The broth had great depth of flavor, toppings were plentiful, and flavors were satisfying. Food was really fast and service was helpful. Our waitress was great! Never had to worry about having enough water. Spice goes 1-4, didn't find 3 too bad but your mileage may vary. Quick eat-in experience with food shows on a big screen TV, casual ambience that I like. Probably I will be back.

Food is delicious and I always order DoorDash but dining in is amazing as well. Quality is great. Would highly recommend. Best I've had in Memphis so far. Service great. Cute vibe.

The culinary experience at this establishment was exceptional, and I highly recommend it. I would rate it a solid 10 out of 10.

Had the most delicious ramen here! I am just now reintroducing gluten back into my diet after a few years of not having any, so was glad to see that they had a gluten free noodle option! The staff was super friendly and attentive! The restaurant was beyond cute, with the Japanese style seating, table layout, and decor!! We will be back every time we can!

I'm going to caveat my review with a "for Memphis." Good to very good ramen. I tried the Tantan today and they got the noodles al dente just right. Flavorful broth, not too much, friendly service.

I have tried the location in Cordova multiple times and this place did not live up to the hype. The building was pretty cold, the floor was wet, and they had fans blowing everywhere. I ordered the Mukbang combo. I got the Black and Red ramen and the Chashu donobori. We had to ask for the crushed chili peppers. The broth didn't seem to be as hot as it was suppose to be. The food was filling and the flavor was good. This place has a small parking lot.

Build your own ramen with tonkotsu broth, ramen noodles, spice on the side, scallions, ear mushrooms, beansprouts and pork chashu.

But, I wasn't paying and I'd been snowed in for a week so, yeah, the lady did not protest too much lol. Anyway - GFC is walk-in only. We got lucky and were seated right away. We got right to ordering. GFC Wings, The Rolls, Crawfish Dumplings, and a carafe of house Sake. Our server was soooo nice. Let me reframe that...just about everyone we encountered were very kind. Even the other customers. To be clear...we ended up ordering a 2nd order of wings. I finished the crawfish dumplings AND the rolls. I should have placed an order to go. I already know what I'm going to order on my next trip. I'm also trying to figure out how to get GFC to the house for the man's birthday since they don't do takeout.

We had the coconut curry broth which was a lite curry style but the winner here was the super crunchy wings in a ginger garlic sauce. Also a fav was their dumplings - simply to die for. Their specialty drinks are very creative and delicious- not to be missed. I would go as far to say this is more of a busy drinking place with excellent small plates. Service is a little sluggish for this always full spot so come early and be prepared to wait, walk-in's only. No reservations. Owners are a cute married couple; the husband is Mexican and the wife is Japanese and the creative mind behind the menu. Authentic fare, truly delicious

This place caught me off guard. I wasn't expecting of all places Mississippi to be a destination…read morefor Ramen. My confirmation bias says the Memphis area is a barren of good food. Well...I guess I was proven wrong. So I dropped my trailer off at Amazon MEM1, input the coordinates onto my Tractor GPS, and my Garmin 800 rejected the request...."Commercial Truck Restrictions All the way." And what did I do? I said f*ckit. I'm taking that risk. Probably the best Risk Reward experience I've had in ages. Every inch of my route towards this Ramen Pilgrimage was plagued by Traffic Signs reading, "No Semi-Trucks $1000.00 fine." And I just want to thank law enforcement between Memphis & South Haven for not busting me for craving a rich bowl of Tonkotsu delight. So what did I discover here? It was like walking into an enchanted Studio Ghibli scene. The hanging charms, the lush greenery, and lighting complimenting the earth tones, the holy sh*t they have PopCorn Chicken & Milk Tea here @@! Felt like I'm back in Taiwan with this fusion of Japanese & Taiwanese Food Culture. There wasn't even a college town nearby and this added more to my culture shock--- of all places... Mississippi. If you guys are still with me at this point, the Kyuramen x TBar in Southhaven wasn't the first location recommended to me by Yelp; I was actually planning on visiting the location in Santa Anita Mall in Arcadia California, BUT like Rayasianboy likes to quote on his live streams, "Goddid." The planets align, they sent me and my rig to South Haven. Alright not gonna ramble anymore, let me get to the verdict: Service: 10/10 Ambiance: 10/10 Food: 10/10 For a franchise, this place has QA down to the tee. Over the years I've for the majority of the time whenever I'm out of state, would patronize Jinya Ramen--been to their Denver Union Station locations, Chandler Arizona, Salt Lake City, one of the earliest times was in Vegas, and basically their brand set the tone for what a Franchise ramen could be. And yes, I could taste the lengthy hours here at Kyuramen that were put in to slow cook the richness out of the pork bones; the portions were measured just right so you can savor the soup, the noodles **al dente**, the egg silky custard like, the Chasu **melt in your mouth** and not feel overwhelmed with the entire ensemble. The karaage chicken/ Taiwanese pop-corn chicken was exploding with moisture, it had the right characteristics of popcorn chicken, crispy light with tapioca starch layered on the outside, marinated in 5 spices, and fried to perfection with the right tenderness. The tea was excellent, and the Yakitori platter---- executed surprisingly well. And when you put together the entire experience....Shin-Sen-Gumi Alhambra California needs to pick up some slack because this little joint in the middle of nowhere puts some California Izakayas to shame. So yes, I'd recommend anyone across the state of Tennessee, Mississippi and Alabama, all the Japanese execs at Toyota Plant, Nissan Plant and Yuki Kawamura to come and make their pilgrimage....oh wait Yuki signed with the Chicago Bulls, nvm, but yes everyone besides Yuki. これで終わります Kore de owarimasu じゃあね Jaa ne 改天再會!

Their ramen is literally top ramen instant packs with chicken bouillon cubes and maybe some seasonings...& their appetizers are always greasy. Mandu's aren't really even mandus. Their jjangmeon is greasy as well and not even authentic to its real taste. I gave it 3 more tries before I realized yeah..this place has gone downhill terribly. I didn't like one of my dishes and i specifically told them what I didn't like about it and they still charged me because the chef said "I made it correctly" and I was very disappointed because a kimchi soup should NEVER taste tomatoe-y EVER. I looked back in the kitchen and saw white folks in the kitchen and knew yeah, no. this establishment has no soul or care. There are better Korean options here in Memphis, after some time this place has lost all its care and soul. We saw a few tables exit and how would she even know if no one is hosting the stand? She literally had her back to everything. We felt trapped as 15, 20, 30, 45 minutes went by. After an hour we were finally seated. It was that horrible experience of not knowing if we should leave or if we had already invested so much time, surely we would be the next person called? I wish the hostess would've told the truth about the wait. It was only after patrons that came in behind us started to rightfully become upset, suddenly there was a host of people at the stand and tables were getting cleared. After an hour, we were finally seated in the very back of the restaurant and it took another 5 to 7 minutes before someone came over and acknowledged us. The salad bar area where you can make your sauce was missing half of the ingredients and absolutely no attempts were being made to refill the station. Items were left off of our order and we had to ask for them to be brought out. Saw a lot of employees standing around on their phones behind the salad bar station near the bathrooms in the kitchen. There are now far too many AYCE Korean/ Asian BBQ/ hotpot areas in Memphis to go back to a place with bad service and low quality food experiences. No one informed us that on weekends there is no lunch option and that dinner pricing applies all day. Based on the menu provided, we carefully ordered only items clearly included in the lunch menu and avoided all "dinner-only" items. At checkout, we were charged the dinner price. Only after questioning the bill were we told about the weekend policy. We asked whether the charge could be adjusted since we did not order any dinner-only items, but the staff refused, saying their system could not change it. The food itself was also underwhelming. Most of the meats are pre-marinated and taste very similar, making the meal feel repetitive and lacking depth or variety. Between the unclear pricing, the refusal to resolve the billing issue, and the mediocre food quality, this was not a good experience. I would not recommend this restaurant.
